The ranger looks at Morvius with a smile in his face.

With a little help from the goddess everything is possible. Morvius whispers. The big guy is Mr Myceloids resistent-to-slash-cold-fire-sound-attacks-but-vulnerable-to-eletricity and his little friend is Mr Fungus Leshys immune-to-sound-and-electricity. Too soon for anything else, still parleying...

Waki observes quietly while Morvius provides his assessment.

He also checks for a good spot to hide for a stealth attack if it becomes necessary.

Gayel stretchs his arms.

Still speaking Undercommon but I'll post it in the open for everyone's benefit, assuming Morvius is translating for everyone:

"Hmm, yes," the mushroom creature responds, "she's in the back, or at least she was, in her 'war room'. We were just working out some final details of a deal between herself and my little colony. Tseka scouted into a nearby Darklands entrance and found us and has proposed an alliance. I am considering taking it for our own protection. What is your business with Tseka?"

Using all the charm he can muster Morvius starts a conversation with the creature to fish for any extra information.

"Tseka is quite a mousy negotiator, hohoho!" the myceloid laughs at his own joke. "But quite a fair one, in the end. We were pleased with the negotiations, at least. I am sure that if you are as capable as you claim, you will do well."

The fungus nods its mushroom head. "It is not just for protection, there are other benefits of the deal. We will be receiving some experimental alchemical brews and several live kirrixes. I could not pass up such a deal."

Waki wonders what a kirrixes is, still trying to follow all of the negotiations.

Anything else? Moving on?

Out of ideas. Anyone?

Morvius bids farewell to the fungus and moves on.

Ticlo mutters in Common to his teammates. "Mr. Fungus here might be angry if we abduct the scum he was intending to make a deal with. I think we should try to scare him off somehow."

Why everybody doubt our aptitude?

Gayel heard what the fungus says. seeing that his traductor is starting to get away, The ranger shows his palm to stop them for going.

So, if I understand correctly Tseka has search in the underground for some buisness partner. She as found you and you just had a deal with her and you obtain some experimental alchemical and... Lab rat? I think kirrixe are?.

Those informations could help in our negotiation with Tseka.

"Yes, yes," the myceloid responds to Gayel's questions. "We got the alchemical components and some lab rats we wanted and in exchange we offered Tseka a regular supply of some rare fungal species that we have experience culturing and handling. It was a fair trade. Good luck on your own endeavors!"

Past the fungus room is an irregular room with a corridor shooting off to the side. It mostly contains tools, barrels of water, and other mundane items.

He ponders the prior conversation.

How can you trust a mushroom? What do they know of loyalty?

Waki will glide past the mushroomoids and check the next room for occupants, traps or exits.

Moving around the circular room, you come in to a barracks where cots are stacked next to personal belongings along the walls.

Beyond that is another room where three practice dummies stand in the southern section, wearing pendants around their necks bearing crude replicas of wayfinders. A ceremonial gown rent by several bloodstained stab marks hangs on the western wall.

Ticlo regards the bloodstained garment warily.

"I wonder whom the wearer ran afoul of, and how."

Ok, that is weird... We are not... I mean that even of I like to fight aspis. I know that we are more of a competitor of a sort than target. Perharps, Tseka has a grudge against the society. She could be an ex agent.

Pet peeve reminder #2: no empty dice-only posts please! Doing that does not help move the game along.

The secret passage that Gayel points out is merely more of a shortcut which takes you almost directly to a hollow holding a bed and a makeshift dresser. A journal rests atop the dresser, a serpent etched over a picture of an open compass on its face.

The journal is written by Markino Tokaji and the beginning of the journal highlights his exploits as a Pathfinder agent but near the middle describes his meeting with someone called "the Spider", after which Makino decided to join the Aspis Consortium out of spite when a group of Pathfinders "chased her into the blade of a murderous madman." His journal also reveals that if the Pathifnders ever find him, Tseka plans to pretend to trade him away in exchange for leaving her in peace, but Makino is confident that Tseka would never actually let the Pathfinders take him back.

Morvius studies the gown. By the inheritor! That bloodstained gown is the ceremonial attire of members of Goka's parliament. He whispers alarmed. These bastards shall learn not to attack their betters!

After a moment if shock and fury he joins the others examining the secret room.

Perc: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

The mention of the gown and Goka parliament Sparks Waki interest.

"Assassination more than impersonation I fear. Stop them we must. Double agent at the root of it all he is. ."

Waki continues checking the room for clues.

Perception : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

"Another secret door in east wall...Found I have ."

"Another secret passage? I don't like all these secrets."

He picks up the journal, and stows it in his bag. "This may come in handy as evidence."

"Aye. Many secrets. More to be revealed. Keep moving to other doors we must. Owner of the secrets we need find."

Waki will back track to the other corridor once the group is ready.

Hanzo doubles his efforts at staying perceptive so as to not be caught off guard.
We'll need to be even more careful, then. We saw firsthand what the Aspis are capable of at the Convocation. Now have evidence of at least one double agent for sure.

Gayel scratchs his chin. A reflex, he got when he was thinking.

"We have now the name of the wayfinder's bearer."

He raises an eyebrow and signs three rings .

I am so happy that the spider is dead.

He signs also to put the book in his backpack if they are searched. handy haversack with permanent magic aura.

Stupid website keeps crashing and eating my posts!

Waki backs into the hall followed by the others; Ticlo and Seinaru instantly note that the entrance to the next room is protected by a cleverly-disguised pit trap. However, the room is otherwise open to the hall and you can see the wide, open chamber beyond, which smells of rotten flesh and harsh chemicals. A curved workbench with dozens of drawers its against the southern wall of the room, its surface covered with surgical tools, body parts, and alchemical items. Working at the bench is a wayang with a long crooked nose and wispy black hair; he is carefully examining a hairless six-legged rat the size of a housecat floating in a vat of blue liquid. Sitting on the ground next to him is a similar monstrous rat creature, which begins hissing and spitting when it sees you in the hall. "Go away!" the wayang shouts without turning around.

I am so happy that the spider is dead.

Who was the spider? It sounds familiar...

We are looking for Tseka.

Waki does not like the looks of this creature and sticks to the shadows.

Stealth : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

Squeeze in the tunnel, Gayel shivers at thinking of a combat here. His breathing is as low of possible.

The wayang shouts back, "I'm not Tseka's secretary, I don't know! Probably in her war room, like usual. Leave me alone, I'm trying to work!"

Hanzo nods.

Waki does not like the tone of this creature, but hearing the master may be close at hand, will retreat into the hall, hopefully unseen here.

He motions to any others once he is departing, then looks to the northeast while musing at the encounter.

Respect does not show and regard for life has none.
Master close by we must find first.

Morvius follows Waki to the last door. It must be this one. With a silent gesture he asks the tengu to check it for dangers before opening it himself.

Waki nods and checks the door silently.

Hmm. Seems ok.

Unless others want to check, he gives Morvius the sign for all clear.

Gayel is beside the door also.

We are in the start of this... aspis lodge.
Their main product is this alchemist in a way... He doesn't seem contrained too. Tseska is seeking to expand... she's doesn't look evil. Apart for what looks like assasination.

Guys... before we go... let's try to do this the diplomatic way. They don't seem very...evil.

Waki does not note any traps or locks on the door but when Morvius tries to open it, he finds that it is either barred from the other side or has something piled against it.

Strength check to force it open if you still want to go that way.

Gayel frown with the news.

Thanks Waki. Maybe we could ask this alchemist if it is normal if this door is block and ask if we can pass to his tunnel.

Waki replies to Gayel with a nod.

"Or walk through room directly and ask him not what he can do for us."

Lets try something first.

Morvius knocks on the door.

Marked the pit trap you guys noticed earlier.

Morvius knocks on the door but nothing seems to happen.

So are you going to try to disable his pit trap so you can go through his room? Or are you going to just march through the secret tunnel you found to get into his room? And with either of these options, are you asking first or just doing it?
