Brak chuckles a bit at the pun. "aye lad. I'll go help them." Brak, not overly punny, struggled on his way over. "You need someone to light a fore under yer arses?!"

It's obvious this isn't Hingle's forte. He tries stomping on the flames and, alas, his boot soles begin to catch fire as well!
Oh! Oh...my...um...help...?
I can't tell you all how much I wanted to miss those rolls. LOL

Zax merely grunts as he continues to be frustrated by the situation.

Pierre and Brak will investigate the room thoroughly for whatever the firebomber did not want us to find.
Perception at 26 for a Take 20.

Taking your time now, Pierre is able to locate and avoid two more pressure plates which would have triggered more falling alchemist's fires.
Among the crates you find a footlocker containing several letters from local collectors and aristocrats offering to purchase the keg. There is also a client list, the Scarab of the Dawnflower, a Pure Legion uniform, and several official papers identifying "Parani" as a former member of the Pure Legion and detailing how she left Rahadoum. Also in the footlocker are a potion of delay poison, a potion of cure light wounds, a suit of masterwork agile half-plate armor, and a golden statue of Iomedae worth 600 gp.

EndlessForms |

It now seems that you have enough evidence to incriminate the Greycloak Parani and there is little else to do but head back to the God's Market to confront her and bring her to justice.
As you enter the God's Market, however, it seems that Parani is well aware that you are hot on her trail as she has taken up an ideal sniping location in a semi-permanent tent-tower overlooking the entire market!

Zax takes two arrows, having successfully drawn the enemies fire! He then charges to the tent tower!
How semi-permanent is it? Can I bull rush it with hopes of knocking it down? If not, can I climb it?

EndlessForms |

It would pretty hard for one person to bull-rush it down. I suppose you could sunder a few of the support beams, but again that would probably several rounds or a few people working together. The tower is 20 feet tall but the ladder has been pulled up so climbing up the support beams takes a DC 15 Climb check.

"We need to take her alive!" Pierre cautions as he dashes to the tower and begins to climb.

It's not a table; there are probably more than just four legs holding up the tower. It would be braced with other crossbeams and such. So you took one of them, yes, but it isn't falling yet. It's not just a matter of knocking out two legs so it falls over sideways.
Zax does some damage to the next beam over from Brak but Umaga's javelin only sticks in the side of the tower.

Hingle's missiles continue to be quite effective so far. No liking the look of the damaged beams below her or the way the tower is shaking at your fury, Parani stows her bow and grabs the greataxe propped nearby before putting her foot on the railing and leaping out into the street below!

Prone is a -4 to AC, not a +4 to attack to be technical. Doesn't make a difference mathematically but if the players are adding to the attack and the GM is taking from AC at the same time, it becomes a bit of a headache. Not that it really matters now that she is prone and surrounded (I really thought she would have made that Acro roll, in which case she could put up more of a fight).
Not willing to accept the humiliation of being convicted for her crimes, Parani refuses to surrender but, surrounded and on the ground, she is quickly overwhelmed by the Pathfinders.
Shortly after you knock her unconscious, a large contingent of Graycloaks arrive, including Runewulf the Unbeliever himself. When Parani is brought back to consciousness, she claims that you stalked her and captured her. Runewulf does not seem pleased that you attacked one of his most promising guards and demands evidence to back up your claims.
Presented with all the information against the rogue Graycloak, however, Runewulf admits that the evidence is sufficient enough to convict her. Parani will eventually be tried and convicted for her crims and word of the evenhanded way you handled the situation spread throughout Absalom's guards and much of the tension between the Society and the local guard in Absalom eases for a while.
And that concludes The God's Market Gamble! I hope you all enjoyed that one. I remember playing this at GenCon several years ago when it first came out (and when I was still new at PF). I had a great time except that final fight nearly wiped us because I was a level 4 archer wizard with a bunch of level 1s who were getting torn apart. Rather than spending my time returning fire I had to spend most of my actions UMDing a CLW wand to keep the level 1s from dying.
I'll get chronicles out shortly. Thanks for playing everyone!

Maybe is all I will say. No guarantees. I would love to GM more core games and I like the idea of a Torch campaign but I need to cut back on games for a few months though, especially with running the specials for the Gameday this fall. So maybe in 2016? I should have fewer games going on by then. I think we'll need to replace Rhy though, he seems to have disappeared.

"Maybe" is totally fine. I really am in the same boat. I'm teaching at a new school in September, and I'm teaching subjects I've never taught before. Life is going to get busy.
At the moment, Core is definitely where I'm having the most fun. The utter lack of analysis paralysis coupled with the simpler scenarios really scratches and itch.

Pierre will be saved for any future Torch-related missions. He's so weak that he needs Brak, Umaga and Zax to man the frontline.

I'll likely do the same Pierre.
Also, I'm going to assume Mike will deactivate this campaign for now to keep the feed clean. I'm sure someone will let me know if it's time to answer the call again.

Yes, I will inactivate it tomorrow to give everyone a chance to read the conclusion and if/when I have time to restart this I will PM everyone and reactivate it.

I feel the same way. I really love Core and I wish I had time to run more Core games. Maybe once a couple of my APs finish (RotR and SS in book 5 now) I will run some more.

![]() |

Just in case at some point we get the band back together, Hingle will likely be kept similarly on the proverbial shelf.
I'm enjoying Core, though I admit there are a good number of things I miss (surprisingly — to me, at least, playing a caster — most of them are NOT spells).

![]() |

Yep, same with Zax, I'll wait until this picks up again.
It'll be sad to see Argust finish SS but at least I know that Zax can possibly pick up his spot in my lineup!
