It is especially nasty with archers - and fully flurry monks / TWF builds.

To be fair, Rhuul is playing down in this scenario. He is also a bit of a glass tank, in that he can't actually take a lot of damage.

He has an unfortunate tendency to fail fortitude saves as well :-( Especially against poisons which is kind of embarrassing for a dwarf.

Okay. I'm back. I have to catch up on what I missed.

12/15/18 - 10/11/13 Social Media Booster (CPR),

Andrietta, as far as I can tell, using your Divine Bond should be a standard action (and one that as a Spell-Like Ability would provoke as well).

I'll progress once Johann and Rhuul post assuming that you smote and full-attacked but don't yet have bane. Please let me know if I've misread something or if you have an ability I missed and I'll be happy to correct things.

Oh and Rhuul, I'm assuming that you included Anok and Medda in Haste, let me know if that's not true.

GM Mechanics Question:
As a Move Action, Andrietta could use Detect Evil. Given that it'd give 'an area' that the evil is in, in addition to the entangling that's already in effect, could that reduce a miss chance possibility, or would the overlap be enough to make it insignificant? It's an unorthodox use of the power, but I can't seem to find an indication yay or nay as to whether it'd actually help?

Wanted to ask the question before posting and messing things up again.

12/15/18 - 10/11/13 Social Media Booster (CPR),

Short answer: No, using detect evil won't help you negate the concealment of invisibility.

Long Answer:
So Paladins have two ways they can use Detect Evil. The first is like the spell, as a standard action that scans an area, and that can over multiple rounds pinpoint the specific locations of evil auras. This would be enough to allow you to direct your attack at a square without seeing the enemy, but they would still benefit from their concealment.

The second one is that as a move action they can target an individual or object and instantly jump to knowledge about the absence or presence of an evil aura on them/it. This one, as is typical for spells, can't actually be used unless you can already see or touch the target, so it also doesn't solve the invisibility problem.

And I don't feel that anything I can address as an aside while putting together the rest of a fight is really messing anything up :p

And from distant pathfinders there are cries of "make him stop" and "Just throw us to the devil, it would be kinder" followed quickly by "No... throw Rhuul to the devil, now that really would be funny."

By the way, I'm down to just Cure Light Wounds spells now for healing, and those saving finale's are chewing into them quickly. Still generally worth it, each of those strength damages is making this battle take longer.

Cranky Old Gamer Rant:
This reminds me of the reason I've avoided higher-level play. Because folks think its somehow helpful to throw ALL THE THINGS into a given encounter. When Darkness drops and it pops into a cloud of swarms, we'll have the Perfecta!

Okay, that's out of my system. Let's do a thing. Hopefully.

While detect evil won't Detect magic should. If you concentrate for 2-3 rounds you can locate the exact location where it's coming from. Then you can AoE that area.

Unless something dramatically changes when I'm at work, Andrietta is going to continue doing her thing from her current position with appropriate commentary -- if it looks like the giant is truly sorry and gives up and tries to run away she won't try to murder it.

Full-rounding the giant in front of her, going airborne to re-position to attack the other one out of it's reach until last possible second, setting up flanks as necessary.
