Yes, a fully operational Bardle Station is a wonder to behold.
Rhuul Irontoe |
It is especially nasty with archers - and fully flurry monks / TWF builds.
To be fair, Rhuul is playing down in this scenario. He is also a bit of a glass tank, in that he can't actually take a lot of damage.
He has an unfortunate tendency to fail fortitude saves as well :-( Especially against poisons which is kind of embarrassing for a dwarf.
GM Cwethan |
Andrietta, as far as I can tell, using your Divine Bond should be a standard action (and one that as a Spell-Like Ability would provoke as well).
I'll progress once Johann and Rhuul post assuming that you smote and full-attacked but don't yet have bane. Please let me know if I've misread something or if you have an ability I missed and I'll be happy to correct things.
Oh and Rhuul, I'm assuming that you included Anok and Medda in Haste, let me know if that's not true.
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
Fair enough, I don't get to use it very often, thank you for the considerations!
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
...*headdesk* Hadn't updated from previous fight when I was fighting defensively. AC is 29 vs Devil. My apologies. Though it will be going back up to 31 next round as she's managed to get the thing's attention.... and -4 to hit because Defensive.
I *really* need to do more high-level play...
Rhuul Irontoe |
Yes, Rhuul will include Anok and Medda with the haste, as they don't seem to be allied with the creature.
Jillia Tennille |
This combat is tense. I dig it.
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
Wanted to ask the question before posting and messing things up again.
GM Cwethan |
Short answer: No, using detect evil won't help you negate the concealment of invisibility.
The second one is that as a move action they can target an individual or object and instantly jump to knowledge about the absence or presence of an evil aura on them/it. This one, as is typical for spells, can't actually be used unless you can already see or touch the target, so it also doesn't solve the invisibility problem.
And I don't feel that anything I can address as an aside while putting together the rest of a fight is really messing anything up :p
Rhuul Irontoe |
And from distant pathfinders there are cries of "make him stop" and "Just throw us to the devil, it would be kinder" followed quickly by "No... throw Rhuul to the devil, now that really would be funny."
By the way, I'm down to just Cure Light Wounds spells now for healing, and those saving finale's are chewing into them quickly. Still generally worth it, each of those strength damages is making this battle take longer.

Posted.
Okay, that's out of my system. Let's do a thing. Hopefully.
Rhuul Irontoe |
This is a pretty tough encounter. I've GMed this at this tier twice and we've neither time got even close to finishing it off.
Of course that was without ubber buffer bard boy.
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
Just hope there wasn't some boon or something riding on it, because that'd be horribly, horribly bad design given the time constraints.
Johann Erlenmeyer |
Given the variety of different encounters and variables, the boons you get on a multi-table special are usually determined by how well the whole event goes. More overall success = better boons.
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
Apologies for the boiler-plate there, hope it was at least an entertaining read?
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
PM for GM.

Is Andrietta atop the rocks, or hovering over them, and if hovering over them, can she drop down/ 5' to 'land'? If so, then I'll post a full-round either before or after work tomorrow, if not, then things might get a little interesting...
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
Unless something dramatically changes when I'm at work, Andrietta is going to continue doing her thing from her current position with appropriate commentary -- if it looks like the giant is truly sorry and gives up and tries to run away she won't try to murder it.
Full-rounding the giant in front of her, going airborne to re-position to attack the other one out of it's reach until last possible second, setting up flanks as necessary.
Lissa Villasani |
You know, I didn't think would come up, but in running Bonekeep, Lissa acquired a Nexus Crystal as a boon. It effectively gives her Negative Energy resistance 10. It's not on Hero Lab, but after work today, I'll copy/take a photo of that chronicle sheet to show it.
Johann Erlenmeyer |
OH yeah, I have one of those too. I figured out how to add it in Herolab but I hadn't updated my profile yet.
Rhuul Irontoe |
It goes off on my initiative, unless other folk delay, which they may want to do, given Rhuul told them to cluster for it.
Lissa Villasani |
Okay, the site ate my post about 10 times earlier on my computer. I'll try again later, but i have my local PFS game soon.
Jillia Tennille |
Thanks for the botting. Between site issues and life, couldn't get a poit in for about 36 hours. Sorry to hold things up.
Rhuul Irontoe |
I think we use it for healing PDQ. Then we can pass it on straight away.
Any disagreements?
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
Yes, we're using the Healing Now, please!
Rhuul Irontoe |
yeap, the last update is painful in the extreme. It looks like it is not reading stored cookies or something like that.
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
The tech folks apparently were putting in weekend hours and are going to have a patch on Monday according to the last thing I read.
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
Anyone have issues with Andrietta using the amulet of nat armor and the cloak?
Andrietta Ebonfeather |
Done. If someone needs we can work it out later.
Jillia Tennille |
Wear what you want!
I'm just hoping that the tendency of increasing round 1 burst damage stops before I die, hah! I'm actually having a lot of fun, trading punches.
