Yeah, it was tough to choose the 2nd level spells, lost of good ones. Heroism is another one that was tough to wait on.

I like Glitterdust early as well though. It a great "big red emergency button" spell for lots of situations due to the blinding effect. Good for situations where you're outnumbered, badly surrounded, keeps enemies with flight on the ground, to shut down the big baddie while you deal with mooks, etc. It has a long range on it too. Good area control debuffing. Actually I don't think I've ever used against and invisible enemy (yet).

Cat's Grace is very likely to be Fenna's 5th level pick.

Are any of the items Kari's size? Either the mithril chain shirt or the Cloak of Resistance would be of interest to her. Given that the aquatic cummerbund is believed to be gnome in origin it might fit her, and would be thematic. :)

no, the mithril chain shirt is also magic. I'm not sure if the chain shirt is something I adjusted from the book, but I wanted the loot to also reflect the jump from 2 to 4. There's more treasure here than the book gives.

Urram should take the wand and the spear. Kari and Fenna should probably each take a swimming item. For now, Kari likes the cummerbund, because of the theme, although long-term it competes for the belt slot with a belt of dexterity. What does Fenna want? Kari is interested in both the +1 mithril chain shirt and the +1 cloak of resistance, but that would give her more than her fair share. :)

Keep in mind that coin is far less valuable here on the island than in a standard adventure closer to civilization. You would basically be sending orders with the ships that are scheduled to make trips here, obtaining what you purchase the next time a shipment arrives.

Always working on the principle of 'my saves are fine as long as I don't get hit!' Thanks for the cloak regardless.

Also remember Urram is now able to start crafting - so our WBL will be a lot more efficient soon :D

Sure, I'll take the chain shirt if you don't mind Kari. I suppose it's a good match since it will lower my ACP to 0 if I remember correctly. That will help with skills.

So, if I understand what everyone's taking it should be as foloows:

Kari: Ring of Ferocious Action, Aquatic Cummerbund, Amulet of Natural Armor(?)

Urram: +1 Agile Spear, +1 Cloak of Resistance, Wand of Flaming Sphere

Fenna: Ring of Swimming, +1 Mithril Shirt

I'll go ahead and take a larger amount of the gold. There are a couple of things I would like to "order" from civilization: Masterwork Thieve's Tools, and a Traveler's Any-Tool. Those two items cost a combined 350gp.

When giving an order to the next boat, you can include items you want to sell at the standard 50% value and use that toward what you purchase.

Also, with regard to your new languages: I've never been a huge fan of hand-waving how easy it is to learn a whole new language. We'll have some downtime coming up, but until then use just the ones you knew before.

As far as gold goes I suggest we pool it and just buy things that we want (as Fenna is.) Remember Urram has crafting now (and will be getting more) so the more gold we keep is more gold Urram can use for making items at 50% cost.

Oh, I guess I wasn't very clear. Fenna would continue taking a liitle more of a look around, but doesn't see the point in exterminating everything. She is dragging around a heavy sack attached to her by a rope. That will get tiresome really fast.

As indicated in the gameplay thread, Kari would like to get a suit of leather barding made for Hrolf. I think it should cost 20 GP (x2) and weigh 15 lbs. I don't know how long that would take.

No one said anything about Kari being dressed. :)

Theoretically, she could switch her Shroud of Water to armor, and then deactivate it before getting into bed; if she gets up in the middle of the night, she can restore it as an immediate action. Admittedly, that would reduce her AC by one from wearing her studded leather.

Kari is willing to go down the well first, but she's also willing to let someone else go first if they want to.

Unbeknownst to Hrolf, she does have a way of bringing him along (assuming there's enough room where we're going): the Haunted Oracle's Curse adds Levitate to her spell list.

Bit of an announcement, I started a new job this week. While I ramp up, I wont have the same ability to post during the day. I absolutely plan to continue our game as long as everyone wants to keep playing, and I'll keep to at least 1/day to the best of my ability.

Is the cloak useful for anyone? It's not the greatest thing for Kari, since she needs both hands free for Gather Power, but she would get some use out of it. Of course, she would discard it once a cloak of resistance was available.

Selling items is long process, since money isn't much use at the colony.

Kari is correct. Selling something like a magic item would take place when the next ship arrives, and the money/purchased item comes on the ship after that.
