Hello everyone,
I must first off, apologize for the delay in getting this posted, it has been a rough few weeks and gaming took a low priority. I could give a number of reasons, but what it boils down to is that I’m stepping away from the Paizo site for a while, at least until my life settles down, perhaps longer.
RPing with many of you has been enjoyable, and for those I just started playing with, I wish it could have been longer. For games I’m a PC, feel free to bot or remove my PC however you see fit. For those I am GMing, I leave it up to you to decide if you want to find a replacement or let the game die.
If anyone is interested in a more detailed explanation of what’s going on, feel free to PM me. I may not divulge every personal detail, but I could provide a bit more to those I have spent so much time with.
Sorry

Sorry to hear the news! I wish you the best with getting life sorted out. That definitely comes first.
Agree with finishing the story arc and seeing how things are at that point.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to be on vacation the week you return (from the 22nd to the 29th) so go ahead and 'bot me if you need to.

Welcome back! Hope you get a nice breather.

Just back from vacation and ready to rock. I will get a post up later this evening.

Hey, I'd like to to get your input on something, guys.
As you may recall, the campaign has a system of "harrow points", which varies per chapter. However, it hinges on the harrow readings done at the start of each chapter, and additionally gives bonuses to characters before specific events.
To be frank, I'm finding this system rather clunky.
What would you guys think about using the standard hero point system instead of these harrow points?
It would allow you to get much of the same benefits, while being simpler to keep track of and more versatile.
(Note: If we do make the change and someone would like to pick up a hero point-related feat, you will be allowed to retroactively retrain feats into them at the time of the change.)

Sorry for the unexplained absence all. But I had the perfect storm of personal coincidences coalesce last week. Last Monday my Mother-in-Law, who has Dementia, forgot she had taken her evening medication and accidentally retook them. My Father-in-Law, who also has early onset Dementia, called 911 and the result was an overnight stay in the hospital. They currently have a caregiver who is with them from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. but apparently need 24 hour care. Both adamantly refuse to move off the farm where they live and into any sort of assisted living facility so my Wife and I have been searching for some live-in caregiver.
Even though we live almost 200 miles away we are the closest immediate family to them and have been trying to conduct interviews over the phone while we rely on various Aunts and Uncles to keep an eye on them.
Coupled with that is the minor inconvenience of an app that I downloaded two weeks ago not shutting down properly and running in the background of my phone, sucking up over 5.5 Gig of my 6 gig wireless data plan. While that may not seem like a big deal I do about 80% of my postings at work using my phone's hotspot for my laptop.
Good news is that we seem to have found someone, who my In-laws like, that is willing to take over after their morning caregiver goes home and stay overnight until the next morning starting this Monday. All of my wife's family, including an out of state brother and sister, are going to be visiting the family farm to celebrate my wife's and her twin brother's 50th birthday this weekend and to discuss the current situation, so I won't be on very much this weekend starting Friday. Also I get a fresh packet of data starting tomorrow and should be able to begin posting from work again.

Sorry guys, I've been distracted lately by RL events and inheriting a PbP here on the boards. Trying to get that up and running and help deal with the in-law situation has stretched me thin. I'll jump in when it's my turn to go again. Thanks for keeping my spot warm.

I'm about to take a rather long vacation of sorts, until November 10. May be reduced to posting on a phone at times. Please bot me when needed, though I will do my best to keep posting.

It's been a significant moment since we've had news from Nicolai.
I propose the following course of action:
Much like Sera, I will give his character a logical explanation for being AWOL, and an easy point of re-entry should he return.
As there are only three of you guys left, I would also re-recruit a fourth party member.
I am still in contact with the player who had been, essentially, my "seventh" pick at the start of the campaign, through another game, so I would give him first shot at rejoining if he is still interested. Otherwise, I would open recruitment to general applications, specifically requesting casters, since our party is rather short on them.
Does this seem agreeable to you guys?

Goes by ShadowyFox on the forums. I... don't remember what the character was, but the application was really solid. I'll leave it up to him if he wants to make a new character or dig up the previous one.
I just remembered that you'd asked about a friend who also wanted to join, Krojun. Would he still be interested? If we're going to be rerecruiting, we might as well try to get back to five, in case we lose someone else along the way.
