Ankhef begins to summon up a creature as Dwizzle tries to inspire his comrades. Seherab knows that the creature doesn't have hardness, but it does have spell resistance, so he tries to strike it with his short sword, however it glances off the armor of the creature.

The group blesses each other and moves to open the doors to the inner sanctum of the crypt.

A raised, pyramidal platform in the center of this large, circular chamber holds an opulent sarcophagus, bedecked with human skulls and profane symbols scrawled in blood, standing between two braziers burning with blue flame. An elevated walkway runs around the perimeter of the hall, behind massive stone statues of Pharasma that support the room’s domed ceiling. Elaborately appointed crypts, each fit for royalty, sit beneath each statue’s feet. Hundreds of desiccated bodies lie haphazardly strewn across the chamber’s polished floor.

The innermost burial vault of the Sepulcher of the Servant houses the remains of those members of the Shepses line who rose to the level of high priest in Pharasma’s service—including the family’s most esteemed scion, Nefru Shepses, who is interred in the sarcophagus atop the room’s 10-foot-high central pyramid. The ceiling here rises to a height of 60 feet, and the raised walkway around the edge of the room is 15 feet high.

In the center of the platform, you see a lithe man, his face hidden by a powerful artifact, the Mask of the Forgotten Pharaoh. At his side are two mummies, arms outstretched and ready to protect their master.

"You have come. I wondered if you would die to the guardian, but you seem stronger than most. This means you will make a good sacrifice so I can take Nefru Shepses' soul." he says with an evil cackle.

Ankhef's skeleton continues its mostly harmless assault on the blue mummy.

damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Claw, this time remembering to add flank: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 2 = 20
damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Meanwhile Ankhef ponders his action before deciding to potentially blow up his own skeleton.

Will move just above blue if it goes down.

Seherab snaps out of his daze and rushes in to help Hogan, studying the mummy's preservation technique along the way.

+1 short sword: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 2 + 1 = 12
damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 7

Seherab lashes out with his short sword, but the blade is turned away by the strong flesh under the bandages, while Dwizzle leaps forward and heals up some of Hogan's wounds, trying to help keep the strongest dwarf alive.

"This isn't even a fight..." bemoans the masked man on the dais as Ankhef's zombie strikes, landing a hit, but failing to do any meaningful damage to the mummy.

Reflex: 2d20 ⇒ (14, 2) = 16

The more injured mummy appears to be blinded by Ankhef's burst of light as the bandages are singed and Hogan lands a massive blow with his hammer, but the undead creature appears to be quite stout.

Nebta-Khufre waves his hand aimlessly as the mummies attack once more, sheathing the dagger and reclining in the throne. "Please don't die from just my minions. It would be quite boring otherwise."

"We don't plan on it." Hogan grits his teeth as he is struck again. He raises his hammer above his head and smashes!

Flank, Stance, Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

Dwizzle groans as Hogan takes yet another solid blow from the mummies.

"Brother Hogan! I can't.. err, orate about his brilliant radiance, the mighty Ra-Tor if I need to keep asking him for blessings of healing to tend your wounds!"

If a mummy goes down and Dwizzle can cast without an AoO:
Cure moderate (Hogan): 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 6) + 5 = 12

Otherwise he begins orating for +2/+2 - hoping that's the better choice! If he orates, he 5ft steps N. If he cures he 5ft steps towards the downed mummy.

Effects Active: +1/+1 from flag-bearer (or more see above)

Seherab marvels at Hogan's bravery in standing his ground as he repositions himself and stabs again.

+1 short sword: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 29

The blue marble statue is put down quickly by the trio as Ankhef begins to summon, however it appears that Nebta-Khufre is not waiting for additional allies to appear. "Please fight without needing help." he advises as four missiles erupt from his finger and fly straight up before pivoting in an instant and slamming into Ankhef, trying to disrupt his summoning.

Magic Missile (Readied): 4d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 2) + 4 = 17

Dwizzle waits for the all clear before healing Hogan once more and stepping to the east.

The remaining mummy lunges once more at Hogan, intent on taking down the holy dwarf.

Slam @ Hogan-24 AC: 1d20 + 14 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 14 - 1 = 18

However, the dazzling effect seems to be too potent and the mummy misses the man.
