GM, I don't know how high her AC is but if I hit 28 AC with my first attack, the last one (hits AC 23) would automatically pops one of her mirror images (AC-5). Not sure about the second one, but it possibly also could pop an image if her AC is 26 or less (hits AC 21).

Ennoia once more relies on her paladin powers to remain alive, and shoots another volley of arrows at the cultist leader.

As soon as she drops (if she does), Ennoia will switch to another target. Her second target will be one of the cultists shooting at her.

Joesef sends out a blast of weak healing magic that mildly staves off any possible threat, but, in the end, it does little and helps the enemies.

@Grimdoc: Ah, I mistook the weapon for the Longaxe. Either way, the attacks miss.

Grimdoc, in a feat of strength, breaks free from the tentacles.

@Ennoia: Ah, I forgot about that rule. You would have popped one of the images!

Ennoia, after popping one of the images, fires off another bevy of arrows at the pair of women.

The first pair of arrows land, puncturing the woman's shoulder and causing her to nearly feint from blood loss, but the other arrows either take out the last image or slam into the wall behind her.

@GM - moved Grimdoc out of the tentacle area as part of his remaining move action last round once he broke free.
Last round of big size. Bramble armor still active and judgements.

Grimdoc glad to finally be free of the grip, calls down the bane of Erastil.

He drops his waraxe and quickdraws his adamantine Nodachi

By the Bane of Erastil, you heathens will pay now!

#1 on Red Adamantine Nodachi, human bane PA/FF: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 13 + 2 = 34

#2 on Red or Green Adamantine Nodachi, human bane PA/FF: 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 8 - 2 + 2 = 25
for dmg, PA: 1d10 + 7 + 6 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 6 + 2 + (1, 2) = 27

for dmg, PA: 1d10 + 7 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 6 + 2 = 17
Bah! Well, at least he hit!

Not exactly sure when his large expires...at the end of his turn or beginning of his next?

@Grimdoc: It is still the last round. You only have a move action remaining, hence the italicized text.

@Vladek: Ah, I see the problem with Qadathra's health. Here is an amended fix. As for the ghouls, no worries.

Grimdoc moves forward after breaking free from the tentacles, dropping his axe and quickly drawing his nodachi and choosing to make the weapon effective against humans. He threatens the group, but they seem zealously committed to their cause and their faces don't fluster.

@Grimdoc: Why does a dwarf of Erastil use a nodachi? Is there some cool story behind it?

Vladek, master of probability, rewinds time after seeing the outcome of summoning the ghoul army in his mind's eye and chooses instead to bless Ali and hopes that the man will be able to dispel the tentacles as Qadathra struggles against the rubbery appendages.

@Gm - ok, thought we moved ahead.:( Sorry on the attack rolls. Position is good (and still large then), and feel free to use them as AOO with his combat reflexes if needed.

Nodachi:
I honestly forgot why he took it. He has made good use of it chopping statues in one module. I think I was looking for a good nonx3 crit weapon to be used 2-handed. Checking his chronicles, he bought it on completing a scenario within the Hao Jin Tapestry, so seemed fitting.

Did Grim 's attack fell Red?

-Posted with Wayfinder

Grand Lodge

Male DEAD Dwarf Inquisitor 8 / Fighter 1

We are not yet to that point, Ennoia. Grim broke loose, and I mistakenly thought we were into the next round with the large post about the ghouls etc. So his attacks may be AOO's but so far he is just standing outside the tentacles posed to strike

Grimdoc:
Interesting! You rarely see people pick up weapons (even ideal ones) for roleplay purposes or off of chronicles, so that is awesome. I wish that wasn't the case though. (I wish that more people chose flavorful weapons, not whatever the strongest choice is.)

@Ali: I don't think it makes a new check for the spell, but it has to make a check at the top of the round. However, the situation is dire, so I'll allow it. Also, since magic is very prominent (Still, Silent Spells still make a light show and you can tell there is magic, then I assume that you can tell what is affected by magic. I could be interpreting that wrong, I guess.)

As the Magician casts a spell, he is suddenly coated in a thick layer of butter, making him quite slippery, causing the tentacles to possibly loose their grip.

CMB @ Ali-27 CMD: 1d20 + 14 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 14 + 5 = 30

However, the tentacles hold onto Ali despite the additional aid of the spell, keeping him trapped in the death trap.

The bodyguard you met prior sees that his mistress is on the verge of falling and he yells to her. "Mistress! Flee to safety!" he pleads. "We will not fail you here!" he adds as the men join him with cheers in affirmation.

She sees the arrows sticking out of her body and decides that her manservant is correct. "If you fail, I will resurrect you just for the Emissary to decide your fate." she says as she vanishes from the room after casting a spell.

As there is a line of people between you and her (she has soft cover from reach and ranged attacks), you cannot use an attack of opportunity. Thus, she will utilize Dimension Door and escape.

As she disappears in a puff of smoke, you see that she left the orrery behind, but this is little consolation as the tentacles squeeze again.

The trapped Pathfinders remain resilient for the most part, however Ali finally succumbs due to the barrage of arcane missiles. Blood leaks from the man's mouth as his ribcage cracks.

The five cultists quickly look over the scene as the bodyguard takes initiative. "Protect the orrery! Gerald! With me, out the window!" he yells as the pair picks up the orrery and they leap out onto the sloped roof overlooking the front yard entrance.

The three remaining cultists look around a bit scared as the giant dwarf looks quite imposing. The injured one tries to summon up a black aura around his hand, hoping the dwarf won't be able to strike him down, but the power of the dwarf is too much as Grimdoc cuts through him in a single strike.

The other two scream and launch a barrage of missiles from their wands at Ennoia and Grimdoc.

At the end of his turn, he will shrink to normal size and will 5' step into red's square (if is available).

Fixed the issue with Red.

As though the first strike was telling, Grimdoc's two follow-ups are too oppressive as he cuts down one of the uninjured cultists with a single strike. As the man's head is separated from his body, the dwarf nearly cuts down the last enemy, severely injuring him with a deep slash across the chest.

Grim uses his held cure on Joey

Clw : 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (6, 7) + 8 = 21

"Joey, thanks for keeping the lads out of trouble there. ."

Grim turns to the others.

"I am not sure what we stopped here but they undoubtedly are just gonna setup somewheres else. We can try to track them outside but need a bit of patching up ."

Joe simply nods, obviously worn out after the battle. He'll grab his wand and heal himself back up.

CLW Wand: 5d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 2, 7, 3, 5) + 5 = 27 I think that gets me to 52/54 now.

He'll then offer to heal others with their own wands if needed.

Seeing everyone survived, Grimdoc will move to the window and pull out his own cure wand. He will tap himself a few times while watching out into the street to see if he sees signs of their foe.

Once we are patched up, I intend to take a look for tracks downstairs. They ain't gonna been able to go far with that ornatraption

If nothing immediately apparent, he taps 5 times clw: 5d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 2, 7, 5, 3) + 5 = 23

Qadathra automatically brought to full, being evidently down only 2.

"All I know to do is try tracking them outside. Unless we think there is anything more to do here, I think we best get going before they get too far."

Grim will start heading downstairs, tapping himself with the wand a few more times.

@Vladek: From above, "The five cultists quickly look over the scene as the bodyguard takes initiative. "Protect the orrery! Gerald! With me, out the window!" he yells as the pair picks up the orrery and they leap out onto the sloped roof overlooking the front yard entrance."

As you descend the inn after healing up a bit, you find that the remaining cultists have quickly scattered, however their hurried footprints are easily followed if you take enough time (and make good enough Survival checks).

The cultists and the heavily injured priestess of the Beyond might be your most immediate problem, but you hear deep rumbling coming from the sky as a ray of dark light shines down into the center of town. You believe that this is either near or at the ring of townsfolk who were chanting.

*cough, cough*

Grimdoc will check for tracks, but also has a growing foreboding of the light in the center of town.

Um, guys. Better get patched up completely, this ain't looking like no picnic gathering.

With Vlad's healing he should be topped off.

"Agreed!" Ali says, already heading down the stairs. "What are we waiting for? We have to catch those cultists! Let's go, Pathfinders! The chase is on!"

Grand Lodge

Now yer talkin! Let's get that woman and her band of bungling cultists!

Grimdoc races off in a beeline towards...well...do the trails lead in the same direction as the center of town?

The group rushes after the cultists, whose tracks head towards the center of town. As they are about halfway there, a giant black orb plummets from the sky and slams into the ground, sending shockwaves throughout the nearby area.

The landing point for the object is likely the town center and you hear the chanting stop to be replaced by silence, followed by screams.

You are maybe two rounds of double movement from the center of town.

"I know, I know! I'm running as fast as I can! Keep up!" Ali says, not actually willing to use his long suli legs to outpace the party but keeping pace with Grim and the others as the party runs towards the center of town.

The portly dwarf, stops for a second to catch his breath, casts a spell of expeditious retreat, and catches up with the others with a burst of speed.

Ennoia follows her companions, clearly wishing to leave none behind. Yet her (modest) attention is turned towards the strange phenomenon occurring in the middle of town. She'd like to approach around 30 feet away from the "landing spot", if possible.

The group closes in on the square, choosing boldness over preparedness. As you arrive (approximately 30' from the center of the square), you find the bodies of the townsfolk spread across the area. Their lifeless forms have been shredded and destroyed, crushed into blobs of humanoid-esque sacks of broken bones.

In the center of the crater, you see an imposing figure next to the woman who just fled from you. She is prostrate before the thing as her men as grasped in its tentacles. The amorphous mass of eyes, tentacles, and green vapor vaguely resembles a jumble of rotten brain matter as it waves the screaming men around, slowly draining them of their life.

"Oh great Emissary from Beyond!" yells Abtaroh. "We have brought you the orrery to enhance your power!" The golden-branched tree filled with orbs glints in the dark light near the woman.

DC 21 Will Saves from everyone or you are confused for 1d4 rounds. (Madness Aura; Mind-affecting descriptor)

Several of the eyes turn towards you as you enter the plaza and the bodies of the cultists plummet to the ground, landing with a squish.

"You are the last impediment to my control of the region..." rumbles a voice in your head. "Send your prayers to your gods as I rip your flesh from your body."
