Declyn will keep squinting and looking over the battlefield, scanning and trying to watch the trajectory of the next arrows that their hidden assailant lets loose upon the world.
Ready an action to try to follow the trajectory of the damned arrows to try to guess where this person might be, if that's a possibility
Readied Perception if Possible: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (3) + 29 = 32

Lamare boon reroll: 1d20 + 20 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 20 - 2 + 3 = 36
The feminine figure looks down upon you with a warm smile. "You have done well, but this is not your time. There are more challenge ahead that you must attend to.", the heavenly figure kissing your forehead before the white light fades away.
The intensity of the blow is so severe that while to everyone it looks like Lamare has passed, the arrow in his neck seemingly seals the wound, preventing more of his life fluids from leaking out at an advanced rate. But without further aid, death may be in his future after all...
@Nadil: I'm gonna have to say no on the animate rope entangling this round, but only because even if it's magical rope, it's not a weapon and would take a separate move action to gather that cannot be combined with movement. You can choose a different action if you wish, or continue with the plan and I'll save the RTA to entangle for next round.
Pelkin 'BAMFS' to a higher vantage point, hoping to find the sniper, but no luck so far....
Nix, without Pelkin cover, moves behind a building, hoping to at least not be a liability to his allies.
Init Order (bold = up)
Nix (73 damage)

@GM: Ok, then she'll move and take a single shot instead, using her hair rope in this turn.

Damage, PBS (piercing, magic, evil, lawful): 1d8 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 1 = 14 + Fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Bolstering Amarthecthel even further, Nadil boosts his own, the erinyes' and Amarthecthel's movement.
Casting Haste. Amarthecthel currently has both Haste and Heroism from Nadil.

Sorry for the delay; busy day again for me today. Update tomorrow, so post if you haven't yet!
@Amarthecthel: The blue outsider will survive the single arrow and will not be entangled this round.

Amarthecthel ignores the div, drawing an AoO, flies to Declyn as a move action and then flies him straight up, hopefully allowing the gunslinger line of sight to the sniper.
Invisible Kalamardian flies to Amarthecthel's side.

Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |

@Amarthecthel: You can get to Declyn, but you won't be able to lift him up this turn as there'd have to be an action for grabbing him. Next turn though is fair, just want a Fly check to make sure all goes well there!
As Amarthecthel flies away, the evil div takes one last swipe at him!
Claw AoO @ Amarthecthel: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
MI high is hit: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Damage on hit: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Amarthecthel Fort save on hit: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Amarthecthel is scratched, but darts towards Declyn, grabbing him by the shoulders to eventually lift him up.
The blue div tries to assault Nadil once more, ignoring the other outsider.
Claw @ Nadil: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Damage on hit: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Nadil Fort on hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Damage on hit: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Nadil Fort on hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Nadil's protections easily allow him to avoid the furious swipes.
Surprise Arrow @ Nadil: 1d20 + 20 - 2 - 1 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 20 - 2 - 1 + 3 = 32

KA Stealth: 1d20 + 26 + 3 - 10 ⇒ (9) + 26 + 3 - 10 = 28
Amar Percep: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Nix: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (13) + 20 = 33
Pelkin: 1d20 + 20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 20 + 2 = 42
Fate is on the Pathfinders sides as the sniper had to lean over to try and aim at the distant Nadil. While Nadil does take an arrow, his exposure allows Declyn to see the arrows trajectory... and Pelkin to spot him period!
He's still 'stealthed' to everyone but Pelkin and to some degree Declyn. It's the icon on the upper right hand side.

There he is! Pelkin will make sure that everyone is aware of the sniper's location. Pelkin will then "run" toward the enemy as quickly as he can.
I'm on the building but I do have a ring of Feather Fall. I have a 40' movement speed. Place me where I can get to with my move action in this fashion.
Standard Action : Cast Spiritual Weapon: 1d20 + 8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 4 + 2 = 20 for Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 If I have to do this first I can, I have plenty of range (210').

Gasping from the pain, Nadil orders his devil to drop her bow, draw her sword and help flank the div.
5-foot fly each (neither can fail the check), then Nadil full attacks while the devil draws her sword and attacks once.
Nadil:

@Pelkin: If someone wants to take a move action to spot the sniper, I'll give a +5 bonus due to you pointing it out. Otherwise, I'll add a +5 bonus for the auto-Perception if he snipes someone else.
Also, since FF makes you float 60 feet a round, and assuming the building is a judicious 30' high, the fall is 1/2 your movement, leaving 20 feet for that action. Then moved you another 40 from there.
Nadil, with the erinyes help, takes down the div!
Pelkin points out the sniper to the party, leaping off and moving towards the foe.

![]() |

Sounds good to me. I assume my SW missed? Also, another reason for using SW is for a visual contact for the party to see the it as it attacks the sniper.

![]() |

Lamare dreams of jumping from a star to another. While eating all sort of good foods.
Still, he jumps a little too fast to be confortable with. Like he is... No. He will not look behind him.

![]() |

I'm unclear on whether Amarthecthel can see the sniper now. I'm assuming he can't. Ignore the orders below if Amarthecthel can see the sniper.
So, he'll fly Declyn to where Pelkin is aiming and trust that the gunslinger will make the rest obvious.
First, he will draw his wand of magic missiles from his pack and drop it. Kalamardian can then pick it up and fly with it to Lamare's side
Please move my token as appropriate. Thanks.
"Declyn, I would take it as a personal favor if you would kill this sniper before he hurts any more Pathfinders!"

I'll operate under the assumption that I can shoot while being carried by Amarthecthel since it hasn't been answered as of yet.
Declyn nods and then shouts, I'll certainly do my best! before getting ready and firing where he thinks the sniper may be (bottom left corner of the building pointed out and where he tracked the arrow), changing his judgement once again to bring accuracy to his shots.

Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |

@Pelkin: Yeah, the SW missed. Don't know how I missed that part of your post.
[ooc]I think I'll want a Strength check from Amarthecthel to allow him to turn Declyn into a flying artillery piece. This would be to mostly to hold Declyn up appropriately so he could still fire and do so without dropping the shield marshal. I'll say... DC 16 for the check since Declyn isn't too too heavy :P
Amarthecthel Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Amarthecthel, adrenaline rushing through his body, pours all of his strength into his arms, holding up Declyn before the duo goes up into the air.
Declyn fires several times, finally spotting the goggled sniper who is surprised by the pair! Three of the bullets strike him, causing him to finally speak for the first time. "Damn you, Pathfinders! Why don't you just die!"
He draws his bow and fires a slew of arrows at Declyn and his flying buddy!
Arrow @ Declyn: 1d20 + 20 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 20 - 2 + 3 = 41
Damage on hit: 1d8 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 3 = 17
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 20 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 20 - 2 + 3 = 37
Extra damage on crit: 2d8 + 12 + 6 ⇒ (2, 7) + 12 + 6 = 27
The sniper aims and fires, the arrow strike right through the shield marshal's right lung. He falls limp in Amarthecthel's arms, the rifle dropping to the ground below.
He is not going quietly it seems...
Arrow @ Amarthecthel: 1d20 + 20 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 20 - 2 = 21
Damage on hit: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Arrow @ Amarthecthel: 1d20 + 15 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 15 - 2 = 31
Damage on hit: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Arrow @ Amarthecthel: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 10 - 2 = 18
Damage on hit: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
The magus' defenses are compromised, the last image disappearing and another arrow hitting him in the shoulder.
"Hmph... at least that's another rat down.", the sniper mutters audibly.
The sniper made no attempts to hide himself now, so if you have LoS, you can see him... until he goes prone or something to remove that LoS :P
The building his is on is 30' tall.

With the sniper finally revealed, Nadil flies over the balcony and conjures an explosion of glitter on the slayer of Pathfinders.
Move 90 ft closer (haste+fly) and casts Glitterdust (Will DC 17). I'm out of 2nd level slots, so I'll use a 3rd level instead.
The erinyes utilizes her hasted speed and flies across the plaza to charge the sniper.
Attack, charge, haste: 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 17 + 2 + 1 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
The erinyes currently has the following defensive stats that deviate from the standard, due to Charge, Haste and Augment Summoning: AC 22, touch 16, FF 14; HP 122; Fort +13, Ref +13; CMD 33.

Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |

Will: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Hah!
The blast of sparkles seems to be stronger as the goggles focus on the bright glitter!
I'm going to call combat at this point, he can't kill/drop anyone without amazing luck, and certainly not 2 people, and a full attack from either the erinyes, Pelkin, or Amarthecthel the next round will do the trick.
Exposed, blinded, and injured, the sniper nonetheless yells out, "Damn you, damn you all! This should have been a perfect plan... all of it! The attack on the Grand Lodge, the sun orchid thefts, and especially this. For the Agenda!". Kitio defiantly continues to fire arrows towards the party as best he can before he is surrounded, then overwhelmed by the Pathfinders.
Gathering the bodies, everyone is shocked as a single butterfly flies away from Lamare's corpse, Pelkin confirming that somehow, he is still alive despite the horrific injuries. Declyn is stabalized and Rogar is laid down so his unconscious form may rest, too. The wasp swarms are easily dealt with as the conscious members look over the body of the sniper that nearly succeeded in his ventures today.
On the man is a journal with various plans and details, obviously implicating him as the ringleader of the attacks here in Aspenthar to frame Pashow. Most interestingly, there is a golden badge with a coiled serpent, with the initials K.A. on it.
Anything else? Otherwise I'll post the conclusion text and start working on chronicles!

![]() |

Pelkin will make sure that the crowds have been ushered away so that everything can be taken care of properly and without interruption. I count ourselves fortunate that we did not suffer even more losses than we had. Pelkin takes a closer look at the badge, trying to recall what he may now of a K.A., if anything. Because if I do, I don't seem to be able to find it.

Probably that someone will woke up Lamare
Lamare wokes up.
"Hey.."

"Did we win?"

Amarthecthel's faerie dragon familiar, Kalamardian, goes about healing Lamare, Declyn and Rogar until they are least able to sit up and fend for themselves.

Declyn groans as he wakes up, feeling his chest where the arrow had embedded itself and taking stock of the situation. Sorry Amarthecthel, I didn't finish him off. Looks like you all were able to handle him in my absence though, congratulations. Now, I think we all deserve a nap once the paperwork is over...
GM, I don't remember if you asked for it before, but I would like Declyn to be slow tracked for this chronicle. TOZ and I are gonna go for one last rodeo on this guy before he reaches 12th and the torture begins :-P

Nadil lands among his wounded fellows and banishes the devil back to Hell.
"Well, that went horribly. Lets finish up what we need and leg it back to Absalom."

Seeing that a lot of his companions are in a danger. Lamare channel all of his magical energy to his companion.
"Well, I suppose we could wait a day before I speak with the dead. If you want. He could know more."

![]() |

Nixkamich breathes a sigh of relief.
"Glad I am to see that we have survived the encounter with that sniper. Truly, I was concerned that we would all be seeing the Boneyard before long..."
A troubled frown crosses his brow.
"...that brush with death was a little too close for comfort for these old bones; I think I will retire, whilst I still have some wisdom and advice to impart to my clan."
Thanks for a great game, with a definitely nail-biting finish!
@GM BPC: Please report this character as 'Dead', as he has reached the end of his usefulness.

Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |

@Nix: Are you sure? You could just leave him on the back burner... then wait for a scenario that is perfect for Nix as a grudging pull from retirement for 'one last job'. If that is truly your wish, though, I'll report it as such.
I have to admit is a shame; I told some of my local players about your PC and I think of them wants to take the challenge to make a single dip into so many classes work :P
And thank you all for bearing with me as I sorta bogged down into the end. I was worried about properly challenging a large and well built group of PCs, but I think I had you all at least concerned with each combat, and of course the hot dice on this last battle definitely kept things tense!
I'll try to have Chronicles out by tomorrow, if not later today!
Is anyone besides Declyn going slow track?

![]() |

"Somewhat concerned," says he.
"Soiling my pants," says I. I think only "King of the Storval Stairs" was closer to a TPK for me.

Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |

The rest of the day in Aspenthar is a sordid affair. The populace is still shaken by the day's events, even with the fact that Prince Zinlo remains. Unfortunately, there's still just enough degree of separation from Kitio and Prince Zinlo that instead of a public ousting, it will take Princess Ziralia's quiet pressure to at least surrender his military aspirations. However, what the party found is enough that Ziralia can begin consolidating her gains and improve relations with local allies against the current rule and the current unrest in Thuvia at large.
Nonetheless, without the heroic intervention of the Pathfinder Society, today's events would have been far more tragic, and the ensuing civil war taking even more lives.
Congratulations! Full rewards for the party since you defeated Kitio Aspenthi (primary) and found the incriminating evidence in the prison warden's office (secondary).

"Somewhat concerned," says he.
"Soiling my pants," says I. I think only "King of the Storval Stairs" was closer to a TPK for me.
High praise, that. 4-04 was the first time in 11 levels that my Life Oracle came close to breaking her streak of bringing everyone back alive. Second time was Eyes of the Ten.

I don't know, we've been in a lot of tight spots with BPC running the show, Amar.
Which brings me to the question... what's next? We can't stop now. I've been in a BPC game for literally years now. :)

Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |

There is a new 7-11 that came out last month. If you guys are willing, I'd be happy to run that, although it sounds like Declyn would be leaving (which would leave it at a 6 person party, so it should still be ok).

If it's #8-04: Wardens of Sulfur Gulch we'd be playing next, then I'm in!

Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |

@Declyn: I understand, but I hope you find greener pastures with ToZ :P
@Rogar: I'll try! Gotta see more of what your character can do since I knocked you out of two fights practically :/
@Nix: Do you have another high level PC you'd like to use if you are going to retire Nix?
Everyone else: Sounds like we should be in agreement with a game. And yes, I was thinkin 8-04. If there are no objections, we'll start that after November 7th as I'll be out of town from the 29th-6th

@Declyn: I understand, but I hope you find greener pastures with ToZ :P
Hopefully I'll handle the final battle better than this last weekend. Read that thing carefully, it's a doozy! I'd offer to jump in on your run, but I don't know how well I would keep up with everything on my plate. Plus, seven PCs is too much.

Your GM, Black Powder Chocobo |

@ToZ: Actually.. we're only at 5, unless Nix does have another PC. Declyn is occupied with whatever you two have planned, unless 8-04 would be the final game for you guys, which would make it 6-7 depending on Nix.

I have a 10th level Paladin, 10th level Oracle, 9th level Druid, and a 10th level Alchemist available. Not sure just who I would bring. Oh, and my 11th level Magus, but he's more GM credit than anything else. My sorcerer is also 11th, and I guess I have an 8th level Fighter, who would be hilariously bad for that.

And the boon roll. I am tempt about the new adventure. It will be a revenge for an other fail adventure. I just hope that all of you have adamantine.

Pelkin will now be 11.1 after this one so 2 more scenarios until 12th.
I've already played EooT so I don't have to be on 12.0 exactly with him for anything that I'm aware of.
