Dragos looks at Tagir skeptically. "Think this through, man. There is no way that this is a one-and-done deal. She'll have you by the short hairs, because all you have is her word that she won't 'let slip' to the Society of this little deal. You take that money, you'll be her stooge; you don't seem like the type to enjoy being a stooge. Ethical dilemmas aside, the gain simply doesn't justify the risk."

Evariel listens to Dragos and Bishop. "Hm... You make a fair point. We don't have any assurance she won't take this to the Society herself, or hold such over our heads hereafter. Setting aside the bit about slaves, of course," he adds with a dismissive wave, "which seems like an emotional but, let's face it, largely irrelevant discussion. I say we turn her down."

Before any more words can be exchanged, the heated argument comes to an abrupt close as Myrosype enters through the same door she left. She eyes you all coldly. "Have you all decided to see reason?"
________
Let her have it ;)

"Yes, we have. We've decided that the only lover who might reasonably enjoy kissing a viper like you is another venomous snake."

"What Tagir means to say is that we agree to your terms. Here are the names you're looking for. We've successfully negotiated the purchase of the other four districts by: your natural mother, your adoptive mother, Ranginori the Duke of Thunder, and a kobold. The Luminous Wharf will be purchased by an especially clever writing-desk. Now about our payment..."

Her eyes close to mere slits and her faces burns brightly, flush with anger. "I offer a deal and you would spit in my face? You are lucky we are all bound by the rules of this country's high society. I have had enough of your disrespect. Get out of my office!" she snaps, pointing severely at the door.

________
You all are now able to continue influencing bidders! Final event everyone!

Ulena silently walks out of the office, not engaging any of her companions in conversation. She's far too wound up, but when she see's Vayde still mingling she tries to win him over.

K. Religion: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 2 = 14 I like my discussion roll way better. Gameplay Dicebot hates me.

"Ah, my dear Prophet, can I speak with your for a moment?" Ulena moves up to Vayde and motions to a quiet corner.

"I have just finished speaking with Myrosype. She tried to bribe me into assisting her secure the other districts and if I'm being entirely honest, it rubbed me the wrong way. That someone so undevout might be winning the Luminous Warf, and exercising her influence here in the good city of Druma makes my skin crawl."

She frowns and looks Vayde directly in the eyes.
"I don't mean to impose upon you, I know you are spending a large portion of your wealth on the Scriptum, but if you have any designs on the Luminous Warf, I implore you to act on them. Do not let that vile woman to secure leadership here in your beautiful city. If I have overstepped, my friend, I apologize, but it seems your prediction from yesterday was true and I felt something needed to be done."

Sovereign Court

Tagir waits several feet behind Ulena, listening to her self-righteous little speech. He waits several minutes after she has finished, then approaches the elderly man. "What we all really want here is to stop Myrorype, yes? That's why I convinced the others to avoid the Luminous Wharf. That female viper is the only one you'd have to beat to take control of the district."

Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 Was he the one that I earned a +2 for?

"I cannot fault her for trying to enlist your services, but I am sorry you are worse off because of it," he offers. His chest swells a little when you tell him about his accurate prediction. "Fear not Ulena, Myrosype shall have the Luminous Wharf torn from her grasp!"

Ulena:

Nice work! Your roll beat the check by at least 10. You have the choice of your roll counting as two successes or one success and one discovery check. You are also acutely aware that you have influenced him to bid on the Luminous Wharf.

"Thank you Tagir, your service has been noted," Vayde responds with a wry smile.

Sense Motive, DC 20:

You don't think Vayde believed what Tagir said, however you are certain that Vayde believes he already has the situation handled.

________
Ulena, your roll in discussion came first, so I am using that roll in place of your gameplay roll. Tagir, you do have a +2 vs Vayde.

Bless you you glorius GM. I'll take two successes.

"Oh thank you darling!" Ulena says, with an authentic smile toward Vayde. "I have been disappointed in people I thought I could count on today, but you and a couple others have renewed my faith in the kindness and righteousness of people. Thank you ever so much."

Glad she has done her part, Ulena moves about trying to keep out from under foot. She shares a drink with Bishop and Dragos when she has the opportunity, but avoids Evariel and Tagir for the entirely of the event.

Lol!

Ulena appears to be actively avoiding making eye contact, though Evariel is unable to ask her about it. She was fine until our meeting. Was it something I said? He decides not to torpedo her conversation with Vayde; trusting her to finish the job, he speaks to Tagir instead. "Telling Myrosype 'no' was not enough, it seems."

Confident in their accomplishments, the party spends the rest of their night enjoying their rival's hospitality. Eating prodigious amounts of food, drinking plenty of fancy wine, and otherwise laying waste to Myrosype's wallet, they live it up until Hegio's bell cuts all festivities short.

For the final time, Hegio hikes himself up onto a podium and clears his throat. "The final results for the Bid for Alabastrine are in!" The silence of anticipation is staggering, everyone hangs on his words. Your heartbeat pounds in your ears.

"The top bidder for the Courts of Abstinence is... TEMEL PASSAD!

The top bidder for the Luminous Wharf is... VAYDE PETRONAX!

The top bidder for the Prophet's Burg is... MYROSYPE!

The top bidder for the Scriptum is... VAYDE PETRONAX!

The top bidder for the Working End is... CYRAN ANDROTUS!"

The crowd claps vigorously as each district's new owner is announced and they stand by the podium to receive and sign their contracts. Notably missing from the roster is none other than Irith Nomazamo. Catching sight of her, you see her face set in steel. Not a flicker of emotion passing through, save the incredible tension in her jaw muscles. Myrosype, on the other hand, is visibly furious. At the conclusion to Hegio's announcement, she storms back into her office and slams the door. The sounds of breaking furniture can be heard.

As the throngs of people revel in the festivities, Temel Passad makes his way to find you all. "I don't know how you managed to do it, but you've done it! Looking back, I suppose it would be near impossible to prevent Myrosype from owning any district. Only one district in her hands is a huge success! She easily could have swept the roster if it wasn't for your efforts. It will be very difficult for her to expand her influence with what I am sure she spent on the Prophet's Burg. Thank you for your hard work, your Society will be proud of your work here this week. Please, stay at my estate for a few ore days before returning, we have much to celebrate!"

Cyran approaches Evariel, pulling him aside for a moment. "Should you wish it, whenever you and your friends want to return to... wherever it is you are from, I can make it so instantly," he offers, tapping his spellbook lightly. Mechanically, he is offering to Greater Teleport you all back to Absalom.

"You helped of course, Passad, so we should thank you as well! And congratulations on the Courts of Abstinence. I would love a quick trip back home, but if you don't mind I'd love to say some goodbyes first. I assume we have time to gather our things first anyway, yes?"

Ulena excitedly approaches Vayde after he signs his contracts and smiles at him.

"Well done Prophet, I'm so excited to see what you do with your influence here in Druma, and I hope to see you again. Thank you for all your help!"

She makes a few more rounds, saying farewells to anyone who spoke with or assisted her that she can find. When she and the others are ready to go she stands proudly in her armor, ready to return to the Lodge and make her report.

Watching both Irith and Myrosype Bishop has no remorse. Myrosype was vile enough being a pawn of the Consortium and Irith clearly felt she knew better than anyone. 'If she had listened to me when I first approached here she likely would have been able to retain some of her power. Now she was worse off than that asp, Myrsosype.'

When told of the immediate transport Bishop feels completely relieved. He had taken too many boats to reach here in the first place. "When do we leave?"

"Thank you, Passad, both for your hospitality and your tenacity. I have no doubt that you will be able to make use of the Courts of Abstinence in a much more admirable way than Myrosype ever would have. Good luck in your endeavors, sir."

On hearing about the offer of magical transportation, Dragos is similarly relieved. "As much as I enjoy travel, it was quite a long journey, and hard to tell what became of those bandits. Better to be done with the whole deal. I'm ready whenever the others are."

Sovereign Court

I never should have opened my mouth. Next time, I'm just making the deal in secret, and they can all thank me when they spend their gold.

"Indeed, this fish is fried. Let's go catch some more."

After another night spent in Passad's manor, you all meet up with Cyran. As promised, he whisks you all away to Absalom and into the middle of the Grand Lodge to boot! Pathfinder Agents and other seasoned individuals replace the swarm of servants you have grown accustom to, most likely to your growing disappointment.

Locating the Venture Captain is an easy matter since he manages to find you first! You all (presumably...) divulge all the important parts of your little foray into Druman High Society, embellishing your accomplishments and omitting any shortcomings. Finally, you are all sent away with small sack of gold and the warmth in your heart of a job well done.
