"So, it seems he left. We must hasten our search for him now, as it appears Miss Koi has forgotten already," Elris grumbles while pulling out his bow, and changing out his cold iron arrows for blunt arrows.
Oooooh, someone made the elf mad! Gonna nonlethal that fox if we find him.

I feel we've figured out how our fugitive fox found freedom...
Marenalia, could I trouble you to ask Mistress Koi whether there was anyone else here? I'm concerned our charming convict may have changed his countenance and so confused her.

The giant fish blinks her eyes twice even though she has no eye lids. "Oh, no I have not, unless you're speaking about yourselves?" she says as she continues bobbing in the air.
You'll have to choose where you want to search for the Fox! :)

I'll end the scenario once you've recaptured the Fox! Just a hint, he's not that hard to find. Was actually very excited that you left him alone with miss Koi :P

Aiden shakes his head. "Oh, little fox, now we don't have to play nice when we find you next time."
"Let's go find him."
It would have been hard for him to be in the understacks with us. Let's try to go back to the lobby. A2.

Sounds good to me unless someone's a ludicrously good tracker? DC 20 for hard ground + whatever penalty for Mistress Koi splashing water everywhere...

As the team scours around the main library of the archives, searching high and searching low, it is evident that the fox is not here. However, your two friends the Owl and the Albatross remain in the area, lounging about, doing what Owls and Albatrosses do best.

My fine feathered fisherman, have you found a furtive fugitive fox fleeing through your foyer?

The two creatures look at each other funnily before answering you. "Hmmm, oh yeah, we did!" They point towards the entrance of the building. "He said something about finishing what he started?"

Going to take it that you guys head straight into the Scriptorium A4, once you find nothing in A1.
The search in the entrance of the place bears no fruit, however as soon as you open the doors into the Scriptorium, the fox is caught red handed, still trying to decipher the books he brought in. Most likely up to no good! But as the door opens and he turns his head to see the pathfinders again. He sulks, and pulls out a white handkerchief from his pocket waving it up in the air. "Mercy.. mercy.. I'll come quietly." He says defeated as he walks towards the pathfinders with his hands up high, showing sign of good will.
As you bring him back to Ms Koi, he explains that he skilfully talked his way to let Ms Koi release him, knowing how to take advantage of her ill mind.
Back at the Mezzanine, Constantin speaks the magic words and a magical wind sweeps through the room, the scroll fragments glow and sew itself back together, pulling the fox named Caught into an abyss. Miss Koi thanks you for your efforts. "Oh thank you so much! As promised, I shall stop the water.", and again it seems that she has forgotten that she has promised to clean up as well.
Need one more diplomacy check to help her remember! It'll be an easier DC as you have reminded her before. Once that is done, the scenario will be wrapped up for good!

Mistress Koi, we would be most grateful if you would see fit to help blot up our bedewed and bedeviled books. After all, Fish are famous for their promises.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Miss Koi agrees to fulfil her promise, and as such, she conjures a few words and creates a magical whirlpool that begins sucking up all the water in the archives. The archives begin to dry in a matter of minutes. Miss Koi follows into the magical whirlpool saying her goodbyes and wishes you all the best.
At the exit, you are greeted by Master Kreighton Shaine, who so pleases to see the archives clean. "Well, what was the source of it?" He enquires. As you explain the events that transpire, his face looks at you in disbelief as you have no proof to show of the feys, but Virml's missing teeth. Nonetheless, Kreighton Shaine cares not so much for the explanation but is relieved that the archives have been cleaned up, and congratulates you on the job.
Congratulations! You've completed the scenario and fulfilled 4 out of 4 of the secondary conditions earning you 2 PP! I'll pass everyone their chronicles on Monday! The below part, is for those holding the Darkland Precepts from the Dark Archives, it won't affect your PP, but it will give the Dark Archive faction a chance for a new boon.
Kreighton Shaine continues his enquiry, "so what did you recover?" As he notes a slight bulge in Aiden's back pack."
The book let's you go about this I a couple of ways. But regardless, there is at least one check you need to pass to keep the book. I'll let you decide on your own how you want to do this! If you choose to hide it from him and smuggle it out it is a sleight of hand check, If you lie to him it's a social bluff and if you convince him to let you keep it for Dark Archives it's diplomacy checks. Choose wisely! Each check has a different DC.

Aiden smiles at Shaine for a moment and then shrugs. "The poem was the main source of magic. Each scrap seemed to open doors to other places and summon creatures related to the poem. Worth studying, I would image. Other than that, a few scrolls here and there. Some of them have potent magic, but they're nothing rare. We did find this, however."
The Chelaxian opens his pack and pulls out a book. He hands it to Master Shaine. "It seems to be a dictionary to translate Taldane to Sylvan and back. Useful given that some of the poem were fey-related."
While Kreighton Shaine is looking at the dictionary, Aiden cinches his pack and throws it over his shoulder. "Now, if you excuse me sir, I need to see a cobbler about these boots which are ruined by the water." He nods and departs.
Study Shaine as a move action.
Bluff (ST): 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 1 = 19
Using the dictionary as a distraction to get out of there.

Kreighton Shane does not notice the book Aiden holds in his bag, and Aiden continues forth to seek Zarta to return the book to.
And we're out!
