Seren's in a good position to battle with the red carpet thanks Hangust's aid. She continues to whirl like a dervish, every pulse of her dance sending out a surge of strength to her allies, and bolstering their combat power.

She takes advantage Lilianna's magic and flicks her wrists as she goes, first one and then the other blade snapping out in lethal strikes. As lethal as you can get when your target is made of string. "Hah, give her my thanks!" Her altered voice quips to the cleric as she fights.

Kitajo would have to provoke AoO since it has 10ft reach.

AoO slam vs Kitajo: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 131d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Consistently the banners, being clothe, are only able to flail aimlessly at whatever is thrown in their direction. Kitajo makes his way with ease and punches a nice hole right through the old rotting fabric.

Seren makes full use of Hangust position, delivering some quick, precise, and sharp cuts into the banner. After she is done with it, there is almost nothing left of the banner but thin strings hanging from the rod that once held a full clothe. It is at exactly 0hp!

Varuna's rapier at first stabbed right through the banner, it looked like it did not do anything. But upon withdrawing his rapier, it seemed to have pull a lot of thread along with it.

Torrel, I've 5 foot step you so you can gain the flank.

Torrel uses another piece of cloth, and does it gracefully. He proves a point to the animated objects that not all cloth are useless.

The torn apart banners again attempt to subdue Torrel and Seren. But consistently prove a point that they are absolutely useless. To a point that the banner with the red highlights falls apart as it attempts to subdue Seren. Only one more very badly torn banner remains.

Moved it back, again. I'd already moved 5 ft forward, I just wasn't sure if Varuna would move up into Flanking with me, so I didn't include it. :)

This time, however, Torrel does inch a bit closer and tries his Bladed scarf again, use Varuna as a distraction just as the Wayang may.

Noted Torrel, so the first bladed scarf strike would not have hit.

With one banner out if the picture, the pathfinders gang up to remove the last threat of flying banners. Kitajo, Torrel, and Hangust are not so used to fighting cloth that they miss a few strikes here and there but do enough to restrain it completely.

All the battle confidence she had a moment ago has disappeared into the wind with the end of her performance. "Why were the curtains attacking us, anyways?"

She pokes at one with the pointy end of a sword, then jumps back a bit as if expecting it to react. She nearly stumbles over herself in the process when she overbalances. With a cough she glances to the guard. "I just need about a minute, I'm still a bit lightheaded Mr. Bossy." Some gratitude.

She shushes the air and then looks to Lilianna. "Zela says she can burn a swarm right good once I can handle another turn on the dance floor. Going to move us to the animal encounter since it is leaning that way, do let me know if we are moving too fast. We're not the pack leaders, but we are making good timing in comparison to the rest of the tables.

The group somewhat decides that the animals seem like the least threatening of the havoc that is in the museum and work their way there. The guards do inform you additionally that the dogs are hired by Nigel himself, and that they have been unsuccessful in calming them down, should you think there is no other choice... you should decide what is best for survival. They are totally clueless as to why the dogs are wrecking anybody on sight.

Into the adjacent hall, long shadows cast by ruined displays and broken furniture litter the floor. A humanoid-shaped figure made of shattered clockwork lies slumped over a bench. Above, an elaborately painted sign reads “Crusader’s Chronicles.” Three mean looking dogs, much larger than your average dog, growl loudly towards the party.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've checked and no one in the group has wild empathy or handle animal to bypass this encounter.

Torrel hasn't checked in for a bit over 24 hours so we'll bot him for now.

Seren's fancy footwork is alluring and distracting, enough so that the dog with the red collar is mesmerized and is caught off guard when Seren comes in for the attack. The dog whimpers loudly as the Seren cuts deep.

Hangust enters the room to recognize the kind of dogs they are, and recalls that they are somewhat skilled in combat. They have been trained in the art of biting the legs and pulling their opponent down to the ground.

Torrel moves in with the rest of the group to tend the unattended wild dog. However along the way, he fumbles as he attempts to use his scarf to subdue the dog. It's been a reoccurring theme that cloths are not an effective choice of weaponry.

bladed scarf,bless,spirit aura: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 = 101d6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 2 = 7

The dogs all lash back at the first opponent that attacked them, and they do so without any sign of remorse. They each attempt to bite low at the legs and upon contact, pull their opponent down to the ground just as Hangust had recalled.

The red collared dog seems to go in quick and strong, but is no match for Varuna's swordmanship as Varuna retaliates. Varuna's swordplay cuts the already wounded dog badly enough causing to fall unconscious likely due to loss of blood.

Kitajo's punching partner runs around him and does not land solid bite on him. Maybe Kitajo's softness has grown on to him after all, or maybe this dog is confused, or just not that good at it's job, but no one is sure at this moment.

Torrel is unlucky as when he fumbles the dog gets a good bite at his leg, pulling him down shortly after towards the ground. The bite must have hurt as well as there is lots of blood gushing out of his legs.

Seren moves with Varuna, breaking off from the bleeding dog. But where he tries to flank she opts to skirt just around its jaws. The spinning dance she uses to fight never stops. As she comes into the fray at Hangust's side she rolls her own blade through an arc just above his shorter blow, trying to use the halfling's attack to distract it from her lighter, flickering style.

"Strike hard, little warrior, we shall draw its attention." The Tien accent has returned to her voice with the combat.

Move to new position, standard to strike, free action to keep dancing.

From earlier: Torrel bends down to take a better look at the now inanimate banners, disappointed they had to be ruined. Doing what he can to fold them up appropriately and take them from their pole, Perhaps magic and skill can repair these later, and stuffing them into his pack. Before proceeding onwards, he will attempt to patch up any of the ex-Ulfen Guard if they need, and also utilize his wand of Comprehend Languages, also remembering to pick up his dropped sling from earlier before moving on.

"Well, that was unexpected" he thinks from the flat of his back, thankful for the small amount of healing he received in such a short time.

Standing back up <AoO>, he tries to strike with his sacred implement against the attacking dog, but holds back, not wishing to kill it.

And soon after Liliana's call to aid, the pathfinders quickly rush to Torrel's side. They each attempt to surround the last wild dog to take it down. Seren deals a damaging blow to the dog, but not enough to put it into an unconscious state, leaving it a real threat against Torrel still.

As Torrel attempts to rise up, the dog again attempts to put him down. And surely enough, the green collared dog prove to be the real deal, immediately pulling Torrel back down to the ground.

Nonetheless, 4 dmg crit is enough to put it unconscious, and not dead. So maybe you actually meant it :)

The dizzying distraction from the pathfinders all round is enough to give Hangust a clear moment of opportunity. Swinging both his Kukri's swiping the dog off his feet. The dog knocks his head on the wall, the same wall that Varuna nicks his rapier with. And the blow to the head is enough to put it unconscious.

Out of combat.

The guards peek in to watch the group apprehend the dogs, and a sigh of relief falls upon their faces. In the last hour, the pathfinders have been able to secure more of the museum than the city guards were able to, and they seem grateful for that. Although, the threat is clearly not over, Clockwork creatures still wreck havoc on the upper floor, and outside the castle grounds, menacing swarms of flying rune stones are disturbing the peace.

Seren lets out a heavy sigh, more a huff and stops dancing. She sets her hands on her hips, weapons still grasped, and catches her breath while looking down at the now unconscious dog they're gathered around. "Well, that wasn't so bad. Nice move, Hangust." She tries to elbow him approvingly, then watches Lilianna start marching off.

She makes a silent, gagging expression and takes a few steps after her. "Hang on, hang on. I need a minute here to catch my breath. All that footwork is tiring." She does still seem a bit pale, but if given a brief minute to rest her color will return and she'll stretch noisily. "Right, okay, I'm good. We can go hit some clocks now."

Before anyone is able to say anything, Liliana makes her way halfway up the stairs. Thus inevitably everyone follows suit to meet the Clockwork creatures.

The upper floors are full of smaller exhibits and relics. This is also where the museum has several offices and classrooms for holding lectures.

Gears, glass, and chunks of wax litter the polished wood floor under a sign that proclaims “Scars of the Lich.” The corpse of a Kellid warrior lies in a pool of blood, her furs soaked through. A constant ticking and whirring sound echoes in this area. Around the corner in an enclosed area, three creatures seem to be aimlessly walking about. An extremely odd contraption of sort, this creature. It is humaned sized but has four-arms, and balances on three legs that rise into a central body. It looks very mechanical in nature.

Kn. Arcana DC12:
This creatures are known as Clockwork servants, typically created by magic to fix, clean, and do many other useful things. As usual, for every +5 above you may ask a question.

Together, Varuna and Torrel know a lot about constructs, and their traits. A typical construct does not breath, eat, or sleep, making them the perfect worker! They are Immune to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, morale effects, patterns, and phantasms). Also they are immune to to disease, death effects, necromancy effects, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning (Or things that are constitution based). And they likely cannot repair themselves.

No DR, or other special immunities. Seems like you both asked the same thing with resistances, so you can ask one more if you like.

A typical clockwork is capable of reasoning, or even shutting down with a special phrase, however these clockworks look like they have some sort of malfunction, manufacturing defect maybe? Torrel is quite certain these creatures cannot be stopped other than through brute force.

If no one is stealth-ing, I'll assume combat initiates as soon as you are in their field of vision.

"Looks like they're working fine to me, they sure cleaned his clock." Seren whistles lowly while peering over the top of Varuna's head, then she hops around him and fails entirely at creeping closer to the trio of constructs, peering rather obviously around the corner to look at them. "Hey guys, I think we're just going to have to hit them until they stop cleaning. It works really well, I do that a lot with all the gizmos they have at the Lodge." It might explain the commonly incorrect time most of the public clocks in the Grand Lodge experienced.

She's ready for a fight, weapons held up in her best attempt at a menacing stance.

I'm instigating a fight for you!

These clockwork creatures are vulnerable to electricity.

The clockwork servants are quick to react as Seren and Hangust enter their line of vision.. "Clang, Whizz, Whoop!" They turn menancingly with their mechanical arms flailing, as if to hit anything in their path.

Varuna is quicker to react than the clockwork.
