Seren is being her usual intrusive self, and as soon as Varuna starts going through his alchemical collecting she grabs up a few vials and beakers. While he's talking Bukog she is casually mixing various liquids and powders together behind his back until the obvious occurs.

With a loud bang one of the vials shatters on the table in a flash and she falls to the floor on her back, a finger held up high without her getting to her feet to gain attention. "I don't think I'm good at this alchemy, but I do believe I've discovered explosions, which I think would be useful for heating stuff up you need to hammer."

The group continues their unusual social intently with the orc community. They are so focused they don't let the disappearance of a few of their party members, mainly Torrel and Kitajo slow them down. It seems that Torrel and Kitajo had some unfinished business in Belkzen and will return at the end of the day to join the group.

Much like the rest of time here, they approach Bukog in a friendly manner and attempt to assist in his current problem difficulty.

Liliana presents him with an peculiar method to utilize magic, and he follows her step by step and replicates the magic perfectly. He is stunned at his new found skill.

He finds a little much harder to follow the wayang's instruction as he has a much more unusual way with words, and barely learns how to make some alchemist fire.

Seren, as eccentric as usual, attempts to teach him something even more bizarre, creating loud noises using colourful liquid concoctions. He is completely lost and confused and does not understand a single thing Seren did. However the skills that Liliana and Varuna have provided him is enough for him to be impressed and in return, like the rest, provides the group with another orc token, this time a funny silver colour, decorated with an anvil.

Benefit:
Each PC gains a +5 bonus on any Day Job checks performed at the end of this adventure.

The day has nearly come to a close and the Orcs have started to call it. There is enough time for likely only one more orc to meet. Towards the end of the town, the orc Blenta of the Strom-Screamers of Rull catch your attention. She finds herself towards the outskirts of town as she requires to work in the beast pits. She seems to be trying to train a particularly independent gorthek, a massive quadruped with thick, wrinkled hide, curving horns, and shaggy hair that frames its leonine face. And she seems to be having a difficult time doing so.

Torrel returns, just in time to catch up to the rest of the team as they near the beast pits. "My apologies, friends. Maldris asked for my assistance in town helping out in the temple. A few families had been attacked by raiders, and we had hoped that by offering assistance we might earn more trust in the area." I apologize for my absence, I got off and passed out.

As the group begins to work their magic, Torrel tries to assist, using his bladed scarf to whirl it around in a distracting manner to try to keep the beast's attention on him rather than the rest of the party getting in closer to it. Night's Star helps out as well, flying in small circles around it's head, just out of reach, "squeeking" at odd times.

Seren sticks her tongue out at Varuna. "I don't blame them for nothing, you rockhead! They told me not to do it, I'm just bad at listening, so hah!" She jumps up at his final shout and hightails it away from the agitated alchemist while he collects his slightly damaged equipment.

Her course eventually takes her over to where the others are talking with Blenta about her animal, and distracting it for their strong Halfling friend. As difficult as ever she takes advantage of everyone's distractions to enact the new idea floating in her head. With quick movements she finds a wobbly perch on the edge of the pen and as the beast is lured nearby she makes a flying leap to land on its back. "Woohoo!" She'll land on its back and get ahold of its horns to find a good grip before she's knocked away. "If I don't get tossed I get to keep it, right!?"

Regarding a stunning fist, If you roleplay how you used that to the full extent, I would probably lean towards a yes!

Varuna knows little about the beast at hand, which isn't enough to know how to tame it. Torrel and his little companion start off creating a diversion for the party, waving his scarf like a trained bull fighter.
Kitajo is alongside ready to give Hangust the hand to quell the beast.

Of course, while all this is happening, Seren sees an opportunity for something else. Taking advantage of the disctraction, she does something out of the ordinary, and completely whack. She jumps right on the beast, the gorthek jumps around, and Seren extraordinarily is able to maintain her balance perfectly. The orcs look on in awe at what Seren has just accomplished. But in that moment of spontaneity, the gorthek runs around in a frenzy, attempting to knock everything in his sight. All eyes now fall on Hangust as the group eagerly waits his signal to start manoeuvring to hold the beast down!

Love it! Everything flows so oddly perfect.

★★★OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT★★★

Having traveled for more than a week through the harsh lands of Belkzen, the Twinhorn warriors grow excited as they come within a few days’ travel of their homeland.

As the sun dips behind the Smokespur mountains, the sound of drums start to echo off the rocky canyon walls, starting slowly at first, but quickly increasing in pace. Medda turns from her lead position in the caravan and shouts “Look out! Ambush!”

The drumming continues as a boulder hurtles from the mountain and lands on the lead wagon, sending splinters flying in all directions. Clouds of dust billow off the mountainside as dozens of orcs surge from the foothills and chant to the beat of the drums. Arrows and boulders begin to rain from the slopes.

Medda calls out, “Pathfinders, someone is willing to risk Uldeth’s ire by attacking us! I need some of you to meet their vanguard, others to guard the caravan, and a third group to take out their archers.”

@Table GMs: You have 11 days to run Up the Flood Road on page 22. Encounters D, E, F, and G are now accessible, but please stop before reaching Part 3.

And eventually the strength of Hangust and Kitajo is able to tame the beast! There is a loud applause of cheers! Everyone rushes in to celebrate, pathfinders and orcs alike at the unprecedented spectacle of raw bravery altogether from the group. A truly amazing sight, and you all leave merrily after recalling how it all happened, forgetting to collect a last token.

Since we really exceeded the time limit for that last orc, we forgo the benefit. But you would have got a +1 to attack vs animals for the remainder of the scenario had we got the benefit.

The most vulnerable part of the caravan travels near the base of a cliff where the sounds of ever-louder chanting echo from a shadowy cave.

The group is torn apart towards taking out the archers or protecting the convoy. As they await their decision, they already find themselves being taken on by some orc thieves from the East, they look ready to raid the caravan. Down the path, nearby to a cave, two more orcs with a mercenary look ready to take on the convoy.

Liliana being her usual self seeks forth the blessing of her deity, while Kitajo backs up Seren at the back of the wagon taking out the last bandit attempting to sneak up from the back.

One of the orcs move up to the cliff to get a good look at Kitajo and attempts to cast a trance upon him! He speaks some words in Orc, but recognizably are the words that come out in common. "Kill! Kill!"
Kitajo DC12 Will save or Murderous Command takes hold of you.

More orc bandits seem to have appeared towards the end of the path by the same cliff!

On one of her spins Seren catches Kitajo's attention with a white-eyed stare of blank eyes. There's a look on her face as if she or the spirit knows what he almost decided to do, and how much she would have regretted that fist in her face. She makes a rather rude expression at her companion before letting the motion of her dance shuffle her closer to the cliff edge in a cloud of dust kicked up by her fancy footwork.

She continues to flit about, blades ready to lash out at any passing orc, calling out in her spirit's deep, Tien voice. "More orcs are coming from the rear, we shall guard it. But we have a problem up on the cliff!"

Seren's weapons find nothing but air as the orcs skirt around her into Kitajo's fists. But her spiraling momentum wastes nothing, and as she rolls forward to the still standing blue orc both of her blade come around from behind. Since this is likely the last round for this combat, think about where we want to go next in your next post. You have the option of heading straight on into the vanguards, or taking out the archers. There is an alternate option of Orc leadership open to you after your first encounter, at this moment enough tables has secured victory at the orc leadership. i.e. Additional victories at orc leadership does not count towards successes so it is best if you keep that for last if you want the extra challenge.

We'll assume travel time in between encounters is d6+4, so buffs that last more than 10 minutes will be still active. I've not been keeping a good track of individual buffs. I believe only Varuna has buffed (individual) with long arm and mutagen.
