Amarthecthel gets a minor boon of assurance.
Guido feels himself pumped up after chugging the red elixir!
Recap:
G1 moves up and hits Amarthecthel
G3 follows up
Pelkin misses wildly.
Two more goblins move up
Amarthecthel, then Horgrym, take out a goblin each.
Another goblin moves up, hitting Horgrym twice!
Something seems to be directing the goblins; the octo-goblin heads south and the other two dog-legged ones appear to be ready to move.
Twigg and Mexel prepare for the flankers.
Dyn buffs Amarthecthel
Guido buffs himself!
Round 2!

Pelkin's up first!
Pelkin Norwind
|
Pelkin will move behind Mexel and prepare to fire an arrow at any of the goblins that may come around the corner and into the western hallway. I'd rather not enter the hallway and be color-sprayed. However, if my back was to Twigg, would I be affected? If not I would change my action.
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Pelkin: Pathfinder technically doesn't use facings if most things so the Color Spray would affect you. However, you can choose to "blind yourself" by closing your eyes, giving you a bonus on your saving throw at the cost of giving your target the effect of total concealment from your attacks.
Pelkin Norwind
|
Nah, I'll stay here and hold to the mechanic of how it works.
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Twigg: Waiting in position, you barely see one of the goblins about to round the corner. However, given the amount of noise, there's at least one other right behind him.
Amar/Horgrym, to you!
Pelkin Norwind
|
As soon as the first goblin makes himself a target (with no cover) my attack will go off.
Bow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 for Arrow: 1d8 ⇒ 1
Oh wow, crit?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 for Arrow: 2d8 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10
BAH! What a waste. 1 whole point!
Horgrym
|
Horgrym takes a moment to size up G2's movements (Favored Target) before attempting to cleave him in twain with a swing of his greatsword.
Greatsword: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 191d10 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Amarthecthel
|
I'm a little confused by the map. Is Horgrym standing on a kobold? Where is G4?
Assuming that Horgrym has just de-kobold-ified G2...
Pelkin Norwind
|
The goblin you are standing on is dead/unconscious/otherwise prone.
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Amarthecthel: You can assume G5 and G6 are flanking. However, if you do turn around, you can see Twigg is some magic prepared...
Amar Spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
And it is a Color Spray! You also see Pelkin with an arrow at the ready and Mexel aimed to pounce on anything that gets close enough.
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Amarthecthel: Basically, need to know if you still want to get them in the hallway or ready into position like Twigg/Pelkin? Finally, if you wish to delay down to after Horgrym... here's there result of his action.
@Horgrym: Your blade slams into the scaly goblin... but its unusual tough hide prevents your blade from causing real harm!
The scaly goblin is bruised, but otherwise unharmed!
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Pelkin: A third goblin rounds the corner and you shoot it immediately. However, your arrow only grazes one of the tentacles.
@Twigg: Do you cast your color spray or wait for the other two?
The goblin who just wounded Horgry continues his assault on the halfling.
G2 claw @ Horgrym: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage on hit: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
G2 claw @ Horgrym: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage on hit: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
With deadly accurate blows, Horgrym is nearly brought to his knees by the scaly goblin's frenzy!
Horgrym, another 7 to you! He's a determined little fella.
@Horgrym: You see a little pixie like thing dart out from around the corner looking at the horde of non-goblins on the other side and move back.
Amarthecthel, Dyn, Twigg/Mexel/Guido, Pelkin, you guys are up! Again, Twigg, do you launch your color spray or wait?
_Twigg
|
If it isn't too late and they get within melee he will defensive cast
Concentration 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
if he can't defensively cast he will cast the spell before they get within melee, I guess only hitting the one.
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Twigg: Only 1 is within range right now; if you want to hold the spell for the other two, then it'll be the concentration check do to G4 getting in melee distance; your above roll is good enough for it, though, so it's a matter of if you want the spell to go off for just the one or wait til the other two come into range. Sounds like the latter.
Pelkin Norwind
|
Will wait for the result of the Color Spray before acting.
Guido Sansone
|
Guido will take a 5' step and lay into Octo-legs.
Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Dmg: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Flurry: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Dmg: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Guido: With the grazing shot from Pelkin, Guido's punch is enough to knock out the tentacled goblin!
Waiting for Dyn or Monday morning, then continuing.
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Recap:
Pelkin moves into position.
Other goblins head across.
Amarthecthel moves into position.
Horgrym swings and misses.
Horgrym is counter attacked and is further wounded.
Horgrym sees a strange pixie thing supposedly giving order.
The tentacled goblin is wounded by Pelkin and rendered unconscious by Guido.
Dyn heals Horgrym.
Twigg is still holding a color spray charge.

Pelkin's up first!
Pelkin Norwind
|
Pelkin will ready another arrow and hit the next thing that comes into full view! Pelkin will then drop his bow and ready his weapon.
Bow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 for Arrow: 1d8 ⇒ 5
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
The other two goblins move up from around the corner! G5 is shot at immediately by Pelkin, but the arrow is dejected by the tougher hide of these mutated goblins!
The feral greenskin immediately makes an attack on Mexel.
G5 claw @ Mexel: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Damage on hit: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
However, the cuddly bear doesn't take too kindly and growls out, causing the goblin to flinch and miss.
The other turns the corner and just as it's about to approach Twigg... a blast of color shoots out from the gnome's hands!
G5 will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
G6 will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Duration: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
G5, too panicked by Mexel to pay attention, resists the blast, but the oncoming goblin hits the ground face first, drool coming out of its mouth.
Amarthecthel, since you delayed to your initiative, your last round's action is lost, but you are up. Horgrym, you're up as well!
Pelkin Norwind
|
Move back, Twigg! Move back! Pelkin tries to encourage the little guy to make room so that either he or someone else could step up into his place and take the front line.
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Posting G2's action assuming it is still around to make it.
The goblin continues its successful rending of Horgrym.
G2 claw @ Horgrym: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage on hit: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
G2 claw @ Horgrym: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage on hit: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Finally, some misses!
Twigg/Mexel, Guido, and Dyn can make their round actions.
Horgrym
|
Horgrym glances over his shoulder to see if there is room to move back. Seeing Amarthecthel he turns back to the scaly goblin and drops his greatsword. He draws the battleaxe from the sometimes invisible goblin and swings cautiously at the scaled monstrosity (G2).
"There's a pixie over here as well, take caution!"
Fighting defensively (+2 dodge to AC). Not taking into account any magic on the axe (still not sure what it is).
Battleaxe: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 121d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Amarthecthel
|
Seeing no physical way to get at the pixie past Horgrym, Amarthecthel enlists the aid of his familiar, Glosrofel the hawk. Imbuing his familiar with the power of the storm, he directs it to find and attack the pixie.
Glosrofel flies over the heads of Horgrym and the mutant goblin to attack the pixie. Deliver touch attack through familiar. Shocking graps.
Glosrofel Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3) = 13
_Twigg
|
Twigg withdraws around the pool. Mexel attacks the goblin in front of him.
Mexel's attack
Claw 1 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
damage 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Claw 2 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
damage 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Bite 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
damage 1d3 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Amarthecthel: Glosrofel moves over to the pixie thing, but it misses it entirely. Charge still on Glosrofel, though!
@Horgrym: Your attack misses, but you're extra defended for next round.
@Twigg: Mexel attacks the goblin several times, but his paw finally connects with the goblin's oversized head and knocks him unconscious!
@Guido: Your action is sort of invalidated unless you want to attack the unconscious goblin, who will easily go down with your powerful blows. Otherwise, you may do something else.
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Recap:
Pelkin readies another shot, which narrowly misses the oncoming goblin.
Oncoming goblin misses Mexel
The other goblin comes up, both goblins are color sprayed; newest one goes down.
Horgrym takes a defensive stance.
Amarthecthel sends Glosrafel to deliver a shocking grasp to the pixie think, but Glosrafel misses.
Dyn delays.
Mexel mows down the other goblin.
Guido runs to flank the scaly goblin.
Final round? Fight!

Posting Pixie-thing's action; also note that G6 is unconscious, but due to spell so noting in case you guys decide to leave him be or not.
The pixie-thing shakes its tiny fists and lunges to bite Glasrofel!
??? bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Damage on hit: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
However, the raven easily avoids the attempted attack.
Pelkin, Amarthecthel, Horgrym, you guys are up!
Pelkin Norwind
|
Pelkin will cast (as a swift action) Litany of Sloth and then attempt to overrun the remaining goblin!
Overrun!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 vs. his CMD, if I beat it by 5 or more he is knocked prone. During my move I will draw my shield so my AC is 19 again. Due to the spell he does not get an AoO nor can he cast defensively. I don't know if the pixie gets an AoO due to its size.
Assuming the move is successful we now have the creature flanked.
Horgrym
|
Assuming the move is successful and it is flanked, Horgrym will defensively attack the goblin. If Amarthecthel hasn't acted at that point he will then move back allowing any attacks of opportunity to let the healthier combatant get involved.
Axe (defensively, flanking, favored target): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 251d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 81d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
lol @ the confirm dice
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
That's been everyone's confirmation dice!
@Pelkin: You manage to get past the pesky goblin, although it's strong enough to resist getting knocked down in the process.
@Horgrym: With Pelkin distracting the scaly menace, you finally send it to unconsciousness with your blow!
Only the pixie thing remains as a potential threat. Just waiting on the successful attack from Amarthecthel!
Pelkin Norwind
|
May I try a knowledge check on the pixie now that I can see it?
Know Nature/Planes: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

I assume everyone is tied up by the PbPGD?
_Twigg

"Oooh another creature of magic! I'm like that guy... without the wings anyway... well at least yet! I don't have wings yet. Hmmm let me think... what do I know about them?"
Knowledge - Nature 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Actually, just waiting for Amarthecthel to give an attack/damage roll for Glosrafel. I should put that. I'll wait til tomorrow morning, then continue.
@Twigg: Looking at it... you realize it's not a natural creature. It doesn't speak, and the only noise it makes is its fluttering wings.
Amarthecthel
|
I assume everyone is tied up by the PbPGD?
Only if that's how you spell "weekend".
Glosrofel Touch Attack w/shocking grasp: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 3) = 11
| GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Everyone here's a bzzap! from the formerly goblin infested room and with a plop, the strange creature lands on the ground motionless.
Combat over!
