I hate getting behind. Grr. Was only gone a long weekend but it sorta added to your absece. Did the aura of Menace from the archons effect the fire elementals? Dc 16 Will or take -2 to stuff. If so that could change some of their hits, no? Also I think only energy damage suffers the 50% damage reduction when damaging items. Never heard it applied to ranged or melee damage. And finally it looked like you started to bot the Archons but your post is cut off. So I am unsure where I am in the initiative order and what to do.

@Artemus: My bad on the aura; thought it was a 10' aura, but just reread the ability and I see that it is 20'! But otherwise, the cutoff post ended up as the long post the next day, which Nilfyr posted in the middle for his bit and thus didn't need a botting.

Okay... let's see if the party has learnt their lessons from the big battle!

Nilfyr charges in and...

Nilfyr Will 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Nilfyr Will 2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

his will steeled against the previous battle, he holds his own versus the despair the mummies exude.

He devastates his foe with the powerful blow that nearly splits the undead in twain; the trip and follow-up slice finish the foe, leaving it a mass of unliving flesh and wrappings, although its golden bracers stand out from the debris.

Faeros' arrows fly over the Desnan's shoulders, the quartet of missiles splitting open the other mummy's chest. The second undead abomination falls to the ground, unmoving.

After buffing the party with alacrity, Artemus goes into an intellectual mode, identifying the emerald automaton as the same as several others the party has dealt with during their time in the spire. The only thing of note besides their electrical breakdown is the brown mold that covers the automaton, perhaps to protect the mummy's from errant fireballs.

The lone automaton swings its polearm at Nilfyr with all the power its mechanical shell can muster!

Emerald polearm @ Nilfyr: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage on hit: 2d4 + 13 ⇒ (1, 1) + 13 = 15

Only the burst of speed granted by Artemus allows Nilfyr to avoid the swing that was within an inch of the half-elf's chest!

Thunderstealer up, then everyone else for round 2!

Sorry, computer with all of my PDFs and stuff went kaput. Hoping to get a new one by tomorrow!

Thunderstealer's blow finishes off the automaton at a safe distance as it explodes in violent electricity!

The mummies were ordained with intricate gold linings, although one of them also had an elaborate bracer with avian embellishments.

DC 17 Spellcraft check:

These are bracers of falcon's aim and Faeros will be happy for the rest of the scenario!

Fort Inevitable Map map Gardens map

Yeah, worst problem is that I can't find my Office product key... so yeah, that may be expensive.

Equipping Faeros with the broken bracers, the party makes their way down continuing forward.

This chamber has no floor, only walls and an open pit below. The black and slightly oily walls are riddled with small holes just large enough to fit a hand or arm into—but creatures that resemble eels with leathery wings are nesting in them. A small landing and a door lie on the opposite side of the pit at the same level.

Map updated!

Indeed, Communal airwalk should still be running.

Nilfyr looks down into the pit, then at the eel-like creatures, and says, "I believe we have seen the other side of that door; as such, I see no reason to provoke these creatures. Shall we explore the other door out of the octagonal room?"

Alright! Con done plus anniversary and training for new job. These past few weeks have been a blur and sorry you guys were caught in the middle. It didn't help that I knew this would be an incredibly long post as seen below.

The party, perhaps wisely, skips the room of large worms and backtracks to the last path from the octogonal chamber.

Blue fog fills this room. When shifting air currents thin the mists, they reveal that the walls connect at precise, unnatural angles and are decorated with strange geometric designs.

Almost instantly though, a number of slithering sounds can be heard as a trio of worm-like beings move towards the party, a sword in one tentacle and a wand in the other for each being.

DC 19+ Kn: Dungeoneering @ creatures:

These are seugathi, horrors from the great beyond. Their soft worm-like bodies cushion bludgeoning strikes, and their bites are poisonous. They can use a number of magical affects to confuse and disrupt their foes.

DC 24+ Kn: Dungeoneering @ creatures:

These beings are resistant to magic as well as being immune to effects that target their mental faculties as well as poison. Seugathi seem to radiate madness and confusion. Incredibly, seem to have a telepathic ability to guide those whose brains are muddled.

And I apologize, this is about to get annoying...

You hear thoughts in your head chanting, The shadow flame, burns forever. Give your minds to its burning treasure.

If you have anything for confusion resistance, now is a good time to post it! I took a quick look, but didn't notice anything

The yellow and red aberrations cast a spell and begin floating 10 feet in the air of this large chamber. The blue one stays on the ground, instead casting another spell!

Seems like we are in a tight spot. Thoughts? Ideas? I can cast a Dispel Magic, but am unsure who to target and since its an aura not sure how it will work... Could an area Dispel work on more than one confusion effect? Or I could summon something to help, but whatever I summon may have to make 4 saves - mind fog and three auras. I could also teleport all but Nilfyr away. Don't really want to do that. Hmm. A Vulpinal's aura acts as a Calm Emotions... Doesn't that end confusion?
