Ed is a little clumsy with the grenade, but luck is with him.
1d20 - 3 ⇒ (19) - 3 = 16

Both grenades land plumb where Ed's antennae sense pinpoints they should have.

The electric blast elicits a gurgling scream from the creature that you identify as a skinny, scaled down version of the Garaggakal faced on Drift Rock.

It's rubbery skin, sparking in electricity, looks more translucent than the brutish hunter you encountered. As the shock fades, the lanky creature jerks involuntarily towards your assembled group with a hungry hiss...

Paeon, your up - creature is effectively flat-footed and badly wounded. Have at it everyone...

Apolgies for the confusion. I wrote Paeon you're up when I was contemplating a initiative order, then figured I'd let you all get a shot in so opened season on the poor defenceless baby Gurgly. Forgot to change the initial thinking (that's what I get for doing stuff between starting and finishing a post! Soz for any confusion.

Standing his ground and using a full round to cast his recently recalled spell Noah blasts the creature with 3 magic missiles.

Magic Missiles: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3, 4) + 3 = 13

Paeon slices at the newborn, but in the flickering emergency lighting his solar blade finds only shadow.

Nipper has better luck, his keen eyes allowing him to nick the creature with a laser shot.

It's reactant bubbling hiss suddenly cut short as Noah's trio of arcane bullets slam home causing the lanky Gurglekill to pop like a boil that decorates the corner of the bay in sickly yellow ichor!

COMBAT OVER.

As Paeon stands sprayed in Gurgleguts a deathly quiet decends upon the ship... before D.A.W.N.s soft voice hails you all over comms:

Ed takes another plug of tobacco leaves to calm his nerves and heads for the captains chair. Take us back to Absalom Station, ship.

As Captain Ed issues his orders Clara cocks a eyebrow, and pipes up;

Paeon flops down as the goop covers him. He turns to his crew mates having the conversation with Clara,

'A deals a deal, record what you have to say, provide us with the proof and I will make sure you are free. You looking for work? I know a guy that might just have need for your skill set... ever heard of King Kurney?'

Inferring about dropping her off at Kurney's for safekeeping / future contact.

'Cap'n Ed, does this ship have record of its owners? Is there a way to uhhh, change it so we are the owners.. you know.. star-port authority and what not.''

At Noah's interjection, the assassin smiles wryly;

"Huh. Knew i'd forgotten something. So glad you reminded me Noah.Two. No grudges nor retribution will be carried."

When Paeon speaks Clara eyes the big solution intensely;

"I'm impressed Tel'domah. Didn't think the likes of you lot would know King Kurney, let alone name drop him. I'm all for more work... but to be honest might head for the edge of Pact Space or beyond in Near Space..."

She leans back, shaking her head wistfully;

"Listen my brave Starfinders. Once this blows up, I'll have the death mark in 12 systems. AE won't let that slide, so I'll ply my trade beyond their reach for as long as I can. As the cygob says they are indeed mean. So just drop me at AB-STAT and I'll snag a frontier ticket it from there."

The sniper produces a simple digi-key from her pocket and hands it to Paeon;

"Bay 94. Locker Number: Sigma 111 Echo. Inside it is my insurance against AE. Now your evidence."

Please don't be an Eoxian, Ed unintentionally transmits to his nearby companions. Er, thank you, ship. Connect.

Boards ate my long post... Grrr.

As D.A.W.N. alerts everyone to the presence of another vessel, Paeon conducts a stock inventory of Maiden's cargo holds.

His search yields the payload onboard as:

- 1 Crates of Cybernetic Prosthetic Limbs (total of 9 assorted arms and legs). The crate is unopened and labelled PROPERTY OF THE SUSKILLON DEFENCE FORCE.

- 3 Cases of long-life "NOODLE DOODLE DANDY" snack bars of assorted flavours, which bear the SnAkitonian Inc manufacturers logo.

- 2 Boxes containing cut wood marked as SENTINEL TREE LUMBER.

A successful DC15 Culture (or other relevant skill) check will reveal more insight about the eclectic cargo items.

When Ed agrees the hear the transmission from the identified vessel, the Maiden's AI complies;

<OF COURSE CAPTAIN SKZZRRR'ED'KL. OPENING CHANNEL CHANNEL DELTA-2-2-7.>

The comms hisses with stellar static for a second, before framing a hoarse flat voice;

”Üdvözlet utazóknak. Én vagyok Kul-Ancs kapitány a Vas-Rictusból. Úgy döntöttünk, hogy kikötünk az Acreonnal, hogy tranzit rakományt gyűjtsünk. Most szellemhajónak és minden szállítmánynak hiányzik. Csak hiányzó rakományt kívánunk megtalálni. Nagyon értékes. Tudna segíteni a helyét? A hajó fedélzetén van…”

Noah:

You recognise the language as Eoxian. It translates as:

”Greetings Travellers. I am Captain Kul-Ancs of the Iron Rictus. We had arranged to dock with the Acreon to collect a transit cargo. Now we find it ghost ship and all consignment absent. We only wish to locate missing cargo. It is highly valuable. Can you assist on its location? Is it aboard your vessel…”

Ed shivers in the Captain's chair. Transmit: Nothing Eoxian aboard and that's the way we like it, heh. Apparently the ship was abandoned after an attack by ugly lifeforms. Pirates hit it after that so... hopefully you had insurance? End.

Presuming that our Science Officer sends the response back in Eoxian. We'll deal with the Cargo info after this interplay (and once rest of the gang have chimed in).

Noah keys the response, as per Ed’s wording. It is issued to the Iron Rictus, then all is quiet for several long seconds, before the wheezing voice once again addresses you over the comms channel (As Noah will presumably translate I’ll provide both Eoxian and the accompanying Pact World Common transcription)

”A legszerencsétlenebb. Túl késünk. Szokás, hogy a kapitány megfelelően bemutatja magát, és hajói nem? Kihez fordulok?”

Translation: ”Most unfortunate. We are too late. It is customary for Captain’s to properly introduce themselves and their vessels is it not? Who am I addressing?”

Captain Kul-Ancs pauses, the rattle of his voice accentuated by the inter-ship communications static;

”Ami a biztosítási tanácsadást illeti. Valóban, nagyon bölcs. Nyugodtan nyugodj meg, hogy valamilyen rendkívüli eseményünk van ... Miközben nevekről beszélünk, a Hebiza Eskolar jelent valamit neked?”

The tobacco has worn off and Ed's fear turns to annoyance as the deadites keep pushing him. This is Acolyte ED, Captain of the SUNRISE MAIDEN **emphasize that, Noahtoo**. and though I'd love to stop and gossip about who or whatever, as you may have noticed, Acreon had a full on Akata infestation and we've got infected crew. By chance or canny insight you are correct in your assertion that the cybernetic arms and legs were created on Verces. You recall from your upbringing that Fullbright Limbonomics were a supplier of mass-produced prosthetic cyber limbs to military forces.

As for the Sentinel Tree lumber. It is sought after by wealthy furniture manufacturers, however the Xenowardens would see this as illegal trade in a sentient plant-life.
