Sounds damn fine to me.

I will be there closer to 8 than 7 tonight, so the more you guys can have ready to go the better.

Loot and Acquaintances document has been updated after last session.
Also added a map of Zellara's shop.
Just to confirm loot, you were given 5pp, gave 1pp to Dregs at The Godsdive Temple, then gave 3pp to Pilts' guard at The E?

lol that's funny I remember it a little different ;D jk great session

I roll a d20 for every NPC that meets Marius to determine their initial impression - sometimes you roll a 1. Maybe he will warm up to you one day... but probably not ;)

You know the secrets of repairing and restoring firearms.
Benefit: If you have access to a gunsmith’s kit, you can
create and restore firearms, craft bullets, and mix black
powder for all types of firearms. You do not need to make
a Craft check to create firearms and ammunition or to
restore firearms.
Crafting Firearms: You can craft any early firearm for a
cost in raw materials equal to half the price of the firearm.
At your GM’s discretion, you can craft advanced firearms
for a cost in raw materials equal to half the price of the
firearm. Crafting a firearm in this way takes 1 day of
work for every 1,000 gp of the firearm’s price (minimum
1 day).
Crafting Ammunition: You can craft bullets, pellets, and
black powder for a cost in raw materials equal to 10% of the
price. If you have at least 1 rank in Craft (alchemy), you can
craft alchemical cartridges for a cost in raw materials equal
to half the price of the cartridge. At your GM’s discretion,
you can craft metal cartridges for a cost in raw materials
equal to half the cost of the cartridge. Crafting bullets,
black powder, or cartridges takes 1 day of work for every
1,000 gp of ammunition (minimum 1 day).
Restoring a Broken Firearm: Each day, with an hour’s worth
of work, you can use this feat to repair a single firearm
with the broken condition. You can take time during a rest
period to restore a broken firearm with this feat.
Special: If you are a gunslinger, this feat grants the
following additional benefit. You can use this feat to repair
and restore your initial, battered weapon. It costs 300 gp
and 1 day of work to upgrade it to a masterwork firearm of
its type.
So if I am reading this right, it sounds like I need to spend a day minimum if I want to craft ammunition, but based in the cost of said ammunition, the sky is practically the limit from there as I don't intend to mass produce munitions.
BurgyZero
What are the GMs thoughts on Garth crafting ammunition at this time? The tools, time, and money are all available to him, but as the rules technically state the gold cost is for material prices, I would understand if it was ruled that I'm not currently able to obtain the right materials, citing the riot.
GM Azathoth
I think you would have no trouble finding the metal components to craft ammunition at the Ironworks building. Only thought is gunpowder. Maybe make an Alchemy roll for me and we can see what Garth is able to scrounge up on his own.
Von Tri'omfi
And so it begins, who will become the master of reality? Muahahahahaha!

@ Valamyr, I really liked the idea of Markus carving a stone in Doc's likeness.
***
Just FYI, I imagine Dov being a more long-term goal than immediate like Knich, but you can try to get her information on him whenever.
I'm really enjoying the feud between Valamyr and Von. As long as you find a way to stick together, I like a dose of drama. Not everyone would be friends right from the start.
Von Tri'omfi
Yeah the Von/Valamyr feud is nothing to worry about OOC. I mean, how else would go putting a gypsy and a politician on a team together?
My main concern is it being 9pm, late for stores then the riots on top of that... maybe we can "trade" our goods at a closed store? break in, take what we want, leave somethings of value... sounds like fair business to me.

-Thanks :)
-OOC I have been operating under that assumption. In character, trying to stay true to the fiction. Valamyr made a vow and actually kindof likes Marius, and he doesn't like a lot of people. Also, there is a kid on the line, so it won't be far from his mind at any point. He will likely TRY to gather some intel sooner rather than later. It's also crossed his mind to bring it up to the Queen, seeing as she might have the kind of sway to be able to tell the one legit guild in the city to ease off of someone. As long as I brought her up, I just want everyone to know I'm FULLY aware I've got a giant plot hook in my pocket. I have not forgotten!!! Valamyr will likely be casually bringing it up during or shortly after our shopping trip.
-I am enjoying it quite a bit as well. And I agree 100% with Von. Nothing to worry about OOC at all.

Whoa, really sorry, I just saw this post and realize I must have missed it.
Yes, that is precisely what happened to the PP. The last one is still in the pouch the noble gave us, which Valamyr tossed at Von.

How does June 10th sound to everyone?

Fuuuuck yeah

Okay, time for GM to admit an error. I had been operating under the false impression that Zellara's magic shop was located in Old Korvosa, when in fact it is located in Midland. Just to keep the story consistent, I'm going to continue with the current location. Oops.
There are plenty of places that you could leave Gaedren Lamm's head that would get attention within the city. The final decision, of course, is up to you. Though I will caution that being caught with two severed heads would not look good in the eyes of the law, regardless of one's criminal history.
Von Tri'omfi
Cool with me, I actually like it in the ghetto, seems to fit our group better.
Any of you seen the new D&D 5e campaign coming out? Tomb if Annihilation aka Undead Dinosaur Jungles.

Valamyr would want to leave it someplace that maximizes impact. Any place that would potentially carry with it symbolic significance would be an added bonus (a statue of a city protector or a notorious hangout for child traffickers, etc...anything of particular interest in Midland? We haven't spent any time there yet). Also, he is not planning this unwary of the risk of being seen. He's got 2 vanish spells prepared today, and will almost certainly use one to place it unseen, even in the dead of night.

I read just a little bit about it; sounds pretty interesting. The villain's whole shtick of undoing resurrection magic is pretty awesome, especially for inserting into a game where you've had some characters die and come back. This is happening right now in Chris Perkin's Dice, Camera, Action Twitch show to great effect.
Honestly, there's not a single one of the 5e campaign books I'm not interested in on some level. The Strahd book and the Underdark book looked particularly good from the cursory looks I've taken. I have half a mind to try to run one of them some time.
Von Tri'omfi
So did I find a brick or stone or something? and how much of the task could I reasonable complete before we are trying to move? I tried to look it up but was flustered and confused by super detailed, yet surprisingly vague rules, and I thought to myself... ya know... I know a guy.
I would recommend asking for the alternate crafting rules to be greenlit. Way simpler in my mind.
The whole thing works off gp value and complexity tier. I would guess it'd land between normal/complex/intricate, DCs 15/20/25, and progress 2/4/8 gp. GM's discretion from here though on what you gotta meet on your rolls. Important to note though that with alternate crafting if you exceed the DC by at least 5, your progress doubles that day. If you exceed the DC by at least 10, your progress triples, if you exceed it by at least 15, you quadruple your progress, and so on.

I hear ya, if Starfinder wasn't so close I'd say I was in without question. But still let me know if your looking for people.
I just read about that Twitch show today actually, is it pretty good? I liked Harmonquest though I'm sure they're pretty different.
Lord Valamyr Aldoran
I'll definitely keep you in mind, but honestly I can never seem to find enough enthusiastic people to get a game started. Maybe some day?
Dice, Camera, Action is great, if you're into watching other people play D&D (I am, as I can never seem to get enough roleplaying in my life). Harmonquest, from the one episode I've seen, is tightly edited and highly produced. DCA is a lot closer to an actual D&D experience, with the natural highs and lulls of any typical gaming session. So in that sense, it's not really fair to compare the two. That being said, Chris Perkins is a great DM (he gets to write all of WotC's shit for a reason), and there are some pretty strong characters in that game.
FWIW, all of the Aquisitions Inc stuff (particularly the live shows) and The Adventure Zone (podcast) are both really good too, if you're not familiar.
GM Azathoth
Zcakes and Von, You had no trouble finding a suitable stone, but as for the time it takes to craft and what is required, I'll get back to you ASAP. I will read up on the alternate crafting rules and get back by our session on Saturday. Always interested in simplified rules.
Valamyr, thanks for the suggestions. I've been looking for some good videos or podcasts of that nature. I watched a series 5+ years ago where Chris Perkins DMed for a group and it was really cool. I'll have to check out his more current productions.

I wasn't able to find any concrete rules for how resting/sleeping works in Pathfinder except for some random cobbled together citations, mostly. Does anyone know where these can be found, or lacking them are we using house rules? I am wondering what kind of effects Garth will be facing for working through the night and not sleeping.
Von Tri'omfi
Without proper rest you're usually fatigued.
GM Azathoth
I am going to adopt the Alternate Crafting Rules going forward for this campaign. Thanks for the suggestion Von.
I'm having trouble finding any sort of decent answer or rules regarding how long it might take you to carve a bust in the likeness of Dov. Most of the Craft rules refer to crafting items of value, and I imagine this carving you intend to make is not meant to be sold.
Just for simplicity sake, we will say it needs to be carved from granite or marble other dense stones, as any sedimentary stone is not suitable or carving fine features. Marble is more expensive and rare and would need to be bought from a merchant, but you could reasonably find granite to carve.
For this bust/statue, we will go with 2 full days of work (16 hours total) of crafting required. So this bust would be something that would take a while to do right. My reasoning is that you could sculpt a stone to look like a human shape quickly, but to give it the detail necessary to reflect the likeness of an individual would take some time. If you want it to be extremely detailed, it will take even more time. I see it being a more long-term goal to carve this bust than just a couple hour rest, I would anticipate about a week of game-time, unless we happen upon ample down time. Stone carving takes a long time. (It took Michelangelo 2 years to carve David).
Craft: Sculptures will take your full focus as well. You can use meditation time (not the same as sleep time) to carve simple items, but nothing more complex than normal value (meaning only "extremely simple" and "simple" items can be carved while meditating).
@ Garth, the new Alternate Crafting Rules will also apply to your early guns and ammunition. They both require a DC 20 Craft check for success. You'll have to find the value of the items your crafting to determine how much progress you are able to make during the time spent working.
@ Marius / everone, I know Marius has a longer-term goal of building a temple within Korvosa. For that reason, I'm also going to implement the Downtime Ruleset. With all the time this campaign will take within Korvosa, I'm sure some of you will have aspirations of building shops or homes, creating merchant companies, or even trying to sneak a new guild past the city's government. This will help as a baseline for those endeavors. Purchasing property is much simpler, for any who wish to go that route.
@ Garth / everone, It seems like the plan is to take an 8 hour rest then make your way into the Vaults with Nahzir's lead, but you could also take two consecutive rests and they would be complete just before dawn. That would help you avoid the Fatigued status. Just an option.

Also good news, cure spells are on my list so we're good with the wand.

The Paizo website has been spotty at best the past few days, so if you are unable to post just send me an email.
Then again, if you can't post you wouldn't be able to see this anyway...
Until the site is fully operational, feel free to make RP posts, ask questions, or whatever else.
GM Azathoth
@ Zcakes, that's correct.
For technical purposes, the clothes you had made were more akin to Entertainer's Outfit (3gp) than Noble's Outfit (75gp). You can list them in your inventory if you'd like.
The Noble's Outfit is exceptional clothing and would required a specialized tailor to create to your exact specifications. Your new outfits were more a way to rid yourselves of the blood, sweat, and forge stains before meeting the Queen than true nobility outfits.

I swear, 80 years under the heal of those pricks and they think they can just slap me on the back like a brother now? All under the bridge?'
This is RP gold.
Von Tri'omfi
Found this, like the flavor of "Got a few pinch ta spare?"
The Bank of Abadar in the North Point district of Korvosa mints coins which are legal tender throughout Varisia. The names for the various coins are:
Copper Pinch
Both the singular and plural term for the Korvosan copper coin is pinch and never pinches.
Silver Shield
The silver coins are always referred to as silver shields, and never simply as silvers.
Gold Sail
Like silver shields, gold coins are never abbreviated, and are always gold sails.
Platinum Crown
The platinum coins are either platinum crowns or just crowns.

Does having the next game on Friday June 30th work for everyone? Otherwise the next Saturday I could do is sadly July 15th.
GM Azathoth
I unfortunately will be out of town from 6/30 - 7/8, so the 15th would be the earliest we could have a session unless we wanted to try for this Saturday night? I might be able to make that work (need to run it by the boss).
Von Tri'omfi
Alas, I'm out of town this weekend.
Lord Valamyr Aldoran
As always, I am happy to play whenever!

My literal reaction to Cressida putting the moves on Valamyr.
I'm a dreadfully slow writer, and the post I'm working on is taking extra time to get right. I may even chuck it in the trash and start over. One way or another, I'll finish it up and post it tomorrow. This was a great twist I did not at all see coming for Valamyr! Fun!
GM Azathoth
Since it will be a while until our next in-person session, we can push through a lot of the RP and strategy leading up to All World's Meats and Verik Vankaskerkin.
This is also a fine point to take a few days for RP reasons if you require them, or we can just push ahead and get to the investigation and bounty.
