Before first gameplay posts, will everyone please create a separate alias / character on the website that uses their character name and picture for the gameplay thread? Character sheets should be posted under that alias's profile for quick reference.
When the campaign begins, everyone should end up having a profile account and a character they can post as.

I've been thinking about how we are gong to transition between online PbP and in person sessions. My plan is to do a write-up of our in person sessions and post it into the PbP thread after each session so we can reference it. It will be trial and error, since we've never tried this before.

Thoughts on when this week we'll do gameplay introductions?
I'll probably make the first gameplay post middle of this week to prompt pre-session individual RP posts. Not mandatory, but suggested if you want to start getting into your characters before our first in person session to kick it off.
I'm also working on a detailed list of common people and places throughout Korvosa for everyone to reference. Since all of you have spent at least a good part of your life in the city, you are bound to know many of the more common landmarks, hangouts, and people of interest.
Also just an FYI, though Joel hasn't posted on the forum yet, we have been working on his character pretty extensively.

Everyone, I just posted an extensive list of all the well-known sites of interest throughout Korvosa in the Campaign Info tab. Shops, temples, government buildings, inns and taverns.
If you haven't checked out that tab yet, you should. There's maps and a ton of info on the campaign setting.

Oh, that's fine. I will read it over whenever you get a chance to complete it, then send a few suggestions or whatever to help you tie it in to the setting.
Once everyone's characters are created I will probably do a soft audit of the mechanical bits, making sure your numbers are correct, you have the right amount of feats, etc. It can be very easy to miss something or forget to apply bonuses on your first character, so I will make sure everything is in order over the next few days.
Does halflings leaf or something similar exist in our campaign?
and does a grappling hook include a rope? or is that sold separate?
I always thought it was just the hook without a rope.
GM, I think the Gameplay thread is broken. I tried dotting in it but the message never showed up. This has happened to me before, I'm guessing you made an initial post and deleted it?
@McBugman: No, grappling hook does not include rope.
The very first post that I created for the discussion tab was initially posted to Gameplay, so I copy>pasted it to Discussion then deleted the post in Gameplay.
I will post in Gameplay to see if that fixes it. If not, let me know.

@Zcakes: Flayleaf is a wiry shrub with reddish-brown leaves that grows in almost any temperate environment. Leaves are harvested and dried, and when smoked produce a powerful sedative and hallucinogenic effect similar to drunkenness. It is also a powerful analgesic and muscle relaxant, rendering the user immune to most pain for up to four hours. It also causes the user to become very susceptible to suggestion. Flayleaf is mildly addictive. Cost varies across regions, with a full pouch of it going for around 12 gp.

I just submitted a help request to resolve the Gameplay thread issue. Looks like a very common issue. I'll let everyone know once it's fixed and put up the first post/prompt.
There is a source book from paizo called Ultimate Campaign that I don't believe was in the drive you provided... It has many, many interesting traits, can these be considered or should I avoid them?
I'm not familiar with the book, but just run the trait by me first. I just want to be sure that it's not highly specific to an alternative campaign. I don't expect any issues.
I know I sent it in my email, but one trait that's always relevant is Reactionary (+2 initiative).

Is everyone still up for an in-person session this Saturday to kick off the campaign? If so, what time would you prefer? I'm thinking we should set aside 1 hour before the session to go over last minute items and chill, then 3 hours for the session.

Yeah, there are a LOT is the issue lol. As far as I can tell they are all pretty generic in lore/background terms, and some of them are fairly specific to gunslingers (as far as what I'm interested in). I'll give you a list of examples xD

I think those are all the primary ones that caught my eye because they're all pretty relevant to my character.
@BurgyZero: I just read up on the traits you listed and they are all fair game.
Some really good options there. Unblemished Barrel is great for a Gunslinger. I've never seen Bruising Intellect or Tireless Logic before, but they are awesome too.

Yeah Saturday, whatever time is good, I've left it open - sort of. I don't want to be a bummer, but there is at least a slight chance I'll have to cancel last minute if my mom needs anything. My grandpa passed away last weekend and although the services aren't until next week, my mom still may need help with the arrangements without knowing it yet. I'm not anticipating it coming up on Saturday, I just want to raise the possibility.
I would also say in addition to the possibly wanting to bring your own portable chairs if you have something more comfortable (we have plenty of seating, but some of it can get rough after long bouts of sitting), anyone with a laptop that can get on the wifi I would say is encouraged to bring it so we can have access to sources better as needed. I can print out some character sheets so that part isn't an issue necessarily, but any books or whatever else.
Also a question for putting our character sheet on our alias for the gameplay thread. Do you want us to list out what are skill total is for every skill, just for the skills we have ranks in, or other?

I will bring my laptop and I have 3 padded folding chairs I can bring too. I'll also bring all my minis so we can pick out our pieces, and will see about pre-made maps.

For the Classes/Levels section, post it as a spoiler, then list the main weapons your use and their information. Also list your main skills (abbreviated) and modifiers. You can add additional information to either section, like class abilities/day or whatever.
That information is a super helpful quick reference for me and for you guys when making a post. If you ever forget your attack or skill modifier, when writing a post you can hit "Preview" then check the information in the header on your post.
Please post a test in this Discussion thread to make sure it's formatted correctly. When finished it should look like my header on this post.

I was hoping to be able to help with bedtime at 7 on Sat and starting at 1 coincided with nap starting. What were you thinking for evening/night-time times?
Another example of how the Tagline looks. Added my senses, aka perception and low-light, to it as well as Spell tracking and my major skill DC.
What time do the bedtime rituals end, like 7:30-8? A late session could work well.
I could leave the house at 8, but people still don't sleep through the night over here. Something popped up for you at 1?
Okay, how does everyone feel about meeting at your house at 4PM, start our game session between 4:30-5:PM, finish at 8PM?
We can order pizza delivery and have a break in the middle to avoid down time for people leaving for dinner.
I am also going to prep a one-shot adventure called We Be Goblins! just in case not everyone can make it. I don't want anyone to miss our first Curse of the Crimson Throne session (some very important things happen), so if anyone is absent we will play the alternative. It would give everyone a chance to learn the Pathfinder rules etc.
We Be Goblins uses premade goblin characters and is supposed to be three hours of light-hearted chaotic evil goodness.
OK, so my paizo character stuff is mostly filled out now, including the 10-minute background. There are just a few things that I'll have to add in later on but it's as much as I could do at this point. I will still be writing a full backstory that will go into more detail about a few of the things that you will see on there but it is still a work in progress and taking quite a bit longer than I had hoped. Hopefully you will have enough to go on to get started. Let me know if you have any questions.

@Nahzir: Character profile is great. Fantastic 10 Minute Background. Only thing I noticed that was missing was your Missing Sibling trait bonus (Diplomacy and Sense Motive are class skills). If you just didn't put points in those skills yet that's fine, just wanted to point it out.

I am going to put up a link to our Google Drive with a map of the building, and will do my best to uncover it room by room as we progress through.
I will also make a spreadsheet list of all the loot we find throughout the campaign. It will be up to you guys to divide it among yourselves, decide what you want to take/leave. Goods like used weapons and armor sell for 1/2 listed price at most vendors.

So I can't do impressions, maybe I'll work on it, but I envision Von being a character at home in Lock Stock or Snatch. Street slag and flow of concsiousness. He's an intelligent product of Korvpsa's getto but lacks the wisdom to see he sucks at his day job and could do much better somewhere else with his potential. Such is his arch, taking smart risks for the easy payout to only work hard to cover his ass when he loses big.

@Everyone: I added url links to our shared Google Drive, a "Local and Battle Maps" slides document, and a "Loot and Acquaintances" document to the top of the forum page.
The Local and Battle Maps document will be where you can find maps while in combat. I also added your images, so you should be able to move them about the map during your turns, and freely out of combat. Anything on the map that is covered by white squares has not been discovered yet, so don't peek.
There is also a link to the Local and Battle Maps document in my profile tagline so you don't have to scroll to the top of the page each time.
If any of you have trouble accessing the links let me know.
