Dark Archive

The door opens to reveal a stone cavern beyond. In the darkness a flicker of dim light is visible around the corner in a small alcove.

Knowledge (dungeoneering) or Spellcraft, DC 15:
This cavern appears natural, but was actually formed using a stone shape spell.

Several desks are arranged along the northern and eastern edges of this small stone alcove. Whereas the stonework leading to this chamber is rough, the walls in the alcove are polished. A single gem rests among the neatly filed papers on the desk, emitting a soft luminescence that brightens the small room.

The stone is a piece of cut alexandrite which glows as bright as a torch.

The papers on the desk are a collection of Eylysia's findings, though none of you can read them. They're written in some obscure dialect of Azlanti, and probably encrypted at that.

As you leave the hidden tunnel, two figures in black masks and robes step out from behind the pillars. Gribbl and Steward pick up on the threat quickly and are immediately ready as the newcomers draw their weapons.

From behind the pillar, a black-robed halfling tosses a small sack at Crixus which bursts into sticky resin, holding him fast to the floor.

The half-orc narrows her eyes at Abdul, and he can feel evil spirits holding him back.

The woman in yellow shouts in unintelligible gibberish and gestures as a multicolored field of light swirls around her.

Red throws a tanglefoot bag at Crixus, who is affected for 3 rounds.
