"Thank you Laurestine, it would seem our former captain's moniker was aptly placed, it would seem we will need to take on more cargo if we are to make it to port."
Delben looks hard at his maps, making some measurements.
"Of course you may look around, thank you for your diligence. Hopefully the others arrive soon with their reports, we will need to capture a prize soon rather than later..."
Delben will try to keep out of Laurestines way while he makes notes and marks on the charts.
I realize we "just" finished with a large battle, I assume we are drained of resources? The crew certainly seems eager to fight again...

Nalgi Wavecrester |

We have enough men and unused weapons to fight a few battles, especially to board a ship. Most importantly the men are eager to prove themselves. If supplies are low, I suggest we board a merchant thip post haste before the thrill wears off.

The crew isn't eager for a fight so much as they are eager to see a prize. They know how little plunder is currently on board and they want to make sure they are going to be paid like they were promised. They are also eager to prove themselves, as they know right after a mutiny is the best time to make new friends to try and rise on the totem pole. While the fight onboard was brutal, it didn't exhaust any munitions or supplies, as they were still locked away. The mutiny succeeded mostly because of it being launched as a total surprise, or so I have assumed.

As far as the plunder goes, altogether it worth 1 plunder point. (+/- 1000gp depending on where you try to sell it.) In the captain's quarters there is a locked chest, and a table with enough navigational maps to provide a +5 circumstance bonus on knowledge: geography checks made to find ports and shipping lanes. There is also a large oaken table that can serve as both map table and dining table, with enough room and cutlery/dishes for five people, all made of silver. The officers quarters are bare, save for a small, unlocked chest that contains two masterwork daggers and a pouch with 500gp, hidden in a panel on the bottom side. All bedding is in the form of hammocks, save the Captain's bed, which is a massive four post down mattress. In the gunner's lock room there are 4 masterwork pistols, 1 +1 pistol, fifteen boarding axes, ten grappling hooks and enough rope for them, and thirty cutlasses, along with the cannonballs and bullets. There is enough rope and ship supplies that you have enough to not worry about it unless something drastic happens more than twice.

*sends out sharks to search as well*
I'm assuming they have done stuff like this before. And Sharkbait, isn't their a range limit on your eidelon?
There is a range limit, but that is 10,000'. As the distance between the eidolon and the summoner grows the max HP goes down. Upon coming back into range its max HP returns to normal, but the current HP does not. It must be healed before returning to full HP.

That's only two miles though

*casts speak with terrifying death machine*
"Wise words Nalgi, ones I intend to follow up on."
Delben stalks from his cabin with grim intent in his eyes. He walks out onto the main deck and climbs the stairs to the aft deck to address the crew.
"Listen well men! It would seem that despite all of our hard work, the Smiling Bastard has squandered it, and left us with nothing to call our own. Nothing of course, but this ship. We are six days from port, and as much as I want to set foot on dry land once more, I would certainly hate to sail into port as a free man without any treasure to show or gold to squander! So before we head for land, what say we make ourselves a bit of plunder!!!"
Delben leaps off of the railing in a flourish, landing to the deck a blowing past the crew to take hold of the wheel.
Besmara guide me and Pharasma take me, let this go well
"To your stations! Let's find us a ship!"

Delben Petch |

Delben will bring the ship to within view of the small island and announce,
"What do we have here? This would seem to be the perfect spot from which to ambush a passing ship, of course it will be more than a little difficult to fit us in there. What say you men? Can you prove to me you lot are up to the challenge!?"
Delben will begin steering towards the cove, periodically beating on his drum to assist the crew with the difficult maneuvering.

Everyone needs to make a profession: sailor check for their various duties to ensure that the ship makes it into the cove safely.

Nalgi Wavecrester |

do I have duties besides yelling at people? I thought I was supposed to kill people lol.
sailor: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
If it's an acceptable substitute to make sure everyone else is doing their jobs:
intimidate: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

Laurestine Valerian |

I'm not sure that I need to make one, seeing as her skills are not being currently used to help the ship to sail in any way.

Think of yourself as the security chief. If you are familiar with Star Trek in any way this is a good place to get the idea. Worf from TNG, Odo from DS9, Tuvok from Voyager, you get the idea. Although, you have expanded duties beyond just security. You are responsible for making sure that each crew member is physically capable of doing their job. This requires constant observation, either by you or someone you assign when you are not able to do so.
Each person has emotions and personality. Some have to be kept in line over others.
The following will give you an idea of what to look for:
I hope this helps with what you are looking for.

Nalgi, you would be making a sailor check to make sure they are working as hard as they can.
Laurestine, you would make a sailor check to aid in various capabilities, perhaps by issuing orders on where to allocate supplies or helping navigate, something like that I would guess.

![]() |

Ok, everyone but Nalgi passed, so you are able to get the ship into the cove, and are now well hidden. In daytime, a ship would have a hard time seeing you, and if it's the cover of night you'll be nigh invisible, as long as you don't have any torches lit. Judging by the notes The Bastard left, a ship usually comes by here every three days. Chances are pretty good you won't be waiting long. That's verified as dusk begins to settle, and your lookout spots sails on the horizon, coming from behind the island.

Nalgi Wavecrester |

hope you put ranks in stealth lol
Sharkbait, time to prove your worth. Me, you, and your monster will flank the ship while waiting for the rest of the crew to attack to take them unawares. Remember, go for anyone in authority first. I'll send the sharks to scout. I'm assuming your riding your eidalon

Antal "Sharkbait" Borimgram |

this will be so much win and yes
also no I didn't :P
Luckily, Chomps is an underwater bro. We'll work on destroying the hull from the bottom.
Antal picks up his lucky sling staff and his greatclub.
"Haha, let's go, Chomps!"
He also uses his scroll to cast Underwater Breath on himself.

Delben Petch |

"Be careful, wait for our attack to begin, and if you can be sure to disable their rudder before boarding."
Delben walk to the top of the aft deck and will ready a scroll before battle.
"Harvey, get your gunners ready on our starboard side, we'll make sure they can't even limp away."
