Rolling around on her belly resting on her elbow she points her finger at Jimmy's face she demands "Admit it! You mean that they are of different color."
"They are different colors, but that's not a bad thing" Jimmy stammers out, unsure why she responded like she did, "Your eyes are amazing, I have never seen anything like them. They are breathtaking"
Retracting her finger she says "Well, I believe you." Turning around on her side trying to find a more comfortable position for her head to rest on Jimmy.
"You know, not everyone thought it to be amazing. More like 'Haha you look like our Husky'." Gwenhwyfar explains.
"Well that is just mean." Jimmy says, moving a bit to let Gwen rest her head on his stomach so it's more comfortable
"Yes it is. But if you are the one who is different you will get used to it." Gwenhyfar tells with a sad voice.
"Different is good, especially when you are different because you are more beautiful than anyone else"
"Ok, I give up. You may continue to praise my beauty." Gwenhyfar jokes.
"And I shall. Until I run out of words to describe it." Jimmy smiles at the top of her head. "I was wondering why your eyes are different colors though?
Sighing Gwenhwyfar replies "I'll tell you. If you answer me a question first. Why are your eyes the same color?"
"Because If both of mine were different your's wouldn't be half as amazing to behold." Jimmy jokes, "Well anyway, would you like something else to eat? Some grapes perhaps?" Jimmy says after retrieving a bundle out of the basket, and dangling it above her face
"No thank you. I've had enough. And my eyes are different for you to admire." she replies her eyes following the movement of the grapes.
"Well then, if you don't want to eat more, what do you suggest we do now?" Jimmy says placing the grapes back in the basket
Plucking one of the grapes and putting it in her mouth Gwenhwyfar asks "So you were planning to fatten me and now that I don't play along, you don't know what to do?" she jokes.
"Well of course, that way you could never run away from me to a better man" Jimmy says sticking his tongue out at her
Taking a look at the basket she mocks Jimmy "For me to be unable to run would need a lot more food."
Musing about what to do she says "If you solve that riddle I will give you a kiss.
"You are a traveling merchant and have a wolf, a sheep and a cabbage with you. You come to a river. There is a boat. The boat can carry you and one of your goods. If you leave the sheep and the cabbage alone together the sheep will eat the cabbage. If you leave the wolf and the sheep alone the wolf will eat the sheep. How do you get everything to the other side. You have time to solve it until I have counted down from 100."
"100, 99, 98,..."
"...,5, 4, 3, 2, 1, sorry you're too slow."
Getting up and straigthening her dress she suggests "Let's go to the town again. I'd like to buy a few things for my mum, before the evening."
"Ah, you're here." Sheila Heidmarch says to Abomentolor as she comes into the Rusty Dragon again. "Please come with me so we can talk in private."
Leading him to her room and closing the door behind him she continues. "A business contact of mine has recently fallen on hard times. I offered him my assistance, and since then he has been... all too eager to try and pay back the favor with a single item from his collection. A few hundred years ago, one of his ancestors rose rather high in the hierarchy of Aroden—high enough to be granted a shepherd's crosier, a two-foot-long mithral rod covered in gold leaf and gems."
"The only problem is that the item is hidden in a fault and he doesn't dare to retrieve it. A street gang, the 'Bloody Knuckles' are on his heels as they got wind of this. Some of them just arrived in town, and we can't risk them finding the out where it is."
Pulling out a crumpled note, she hands it to Abomentolor. "This map will show you how to reach the vault. From there, you're on your own. You have to search for it."
"As always time is essential here. Please hurry before some evil forces steal away this valuable item. The payment will be generous as always."
Abomentolor replies "I'll see to it, that we start immediately. I just have to call together the group."
He turns on his heels to start with it immediately. Going down in the taproom he approaches Niamh. "We have a new assignment. We need to call the group together. Do you know where they all went?"
"Tauriell went into the forest and Jimmy went with fancy clothes and a basket to the same baker we bought our breadsticks. If that helps you..." Niamh answers.
As Tauriell finishes her meal she thinks about what to do next. Looking at the sky she sees quite some clouds coming her direction from the sea.
"Fluffy Puff. I don't think, this will be the night we start sleeping outside again. Let's head back to Sandpoint."
She puts out the fire and packs up her stuff. Sending the bird into the air again she is on her way walking back to town.
"Hmmm, that's a tough one." Jimmy says at the riddle, thinking about it. Once Gwen finishes her count down Jimmy smiles at her and says "You take the sheep across, then come back and take the wolf across. You then take the sheep back across to the first side and collect the cabbage and take it to the wolf. You then go collect the sheep and take it to the wolf and cabbage. Did that make any sense?" Jimmy sticks his tongue out at her, "But I have heard it before, so it isn't fair for me to win a kiss with a riddle I already know"
Jimmy stands up, packs up the blanket and the basket and offers Gwen his arm before walking back towards the cliffs to town.
"I'm not sure if I should be flattered by your honesty or disappointed, that you didn't go for the prize."
But instead of becoming pouty she starts turning around herself and leaping, dancing the way to the cliffs with a bright smile on her face.
"And where is Gwen?" Abomentolor asks. Starting on his way outside he orders "Come along, we have to find them." leading to the temple.
"I guess she's with Jimmy" Niamh says following Abomentolor.
"Who would have thought it."
Once across town Abomentolor enters the Cathedral and with determination approaches Abstalar Zantus. "Good Afternoon High Priest Zantus. Would you know by chance, where I could find Gwenhwyfar. I need to find her for a most urgent mission." Abomentolor asks charming as ever.
"Sorry Abomentolor, I don't know. But you may ask Fiona Samsley over there, AFTER she finishes her service at the shrine. It will only take a few more minutes. You could use the time to pray to your god if you like." Abstalar smiles at the gnome.
Then he turns back to what he did before Abomentolor interrupted.
Impatiently the gnome waits for Mrs. Samsley to finish. "Yeah right like I ever did. And I'm not going to start now with this praying." he mutters to himself.
As soon as she gets up Abomentolor is there to adress her with his question "Hello Mrs. Samsley, could you tell me were to find Gwenhwyfar? It is most urgent."
Fiona gets a worried look on her face "She went to a picnic with Jimmy. Did something happen?"
"Yes, we have another mission and must start immediately. Where did they go for picnic?" Abomentolor insists, still not having his answer.
"No you don't. These two are at my house this evening. I don't care for your mission. It has to wait until tomorrow." Fiona states, leaving Abomentolor to move to her next assignment.
"But it is important! Maybe someone steal it if we are not fast " Niamh tries to change Mrs.Samsley' mind.
Abomentolor's jaw drops. He is aghast. With desperation he looks at Niamh "Have you seen that?"
Abomentolor stands there and doesn't know what to do.
"I am not blind. We could search Gwenhwyfar and Jimmy and ask them to talk to Mrs.Samsley?" Niamh suggests.
"Sure. Where would you like to start searching?" Abomentolor asks really interested in the answer.
"Where do you think is a beautiful place for a picnic?" Niamh replies.
"How should I know? I prefer my meals in civilised environments with tables and tablecloths. Maybe in the woods? Or do they have different tastes tan Tauriell?" he replies being really annoyed.
"I think it could be difficult to sit with a picnic blanket on a tree. But maybe we could search Tauriell first, maybe she knows where to search first." Niamh answers.
"Your ideas get better by the minute. You know where she went to hug trees?" he asks his arms crossed before his chest.
"Do you have better ideas? Do you know if she has her bird with her? Maybe we could see it." Niamh tries to suggest an other idea.
As they reach the cliffs Gwenhwyfar stops with her dancing and climbs up, waiting for Jimmy to arrive. Offering her arm she leads him up the road. "I want to buy 'The Birth of Light and Truth.' as a book with gilt edging for my mum. She'd totally freak out about that. But I may need a distraction and your basket to hide it. She will propably be at the temple and I don't want her to see it before dinner this evening."
As they reach the temple Gwenhwyfar says "I will sneak in to find Abstalar Zantus. You wait for me and if you see my mom, you either hide, or you have to distract her so I could evade unnoticed."
With that she enters as casually as possible into the cathedral approaching the Desna Shrine to check if Abstalar could be found there.
"Ok, you lead for the bird spotting. I bet as a result we will also be lost." Abomentolor replies resignated.
"First we have to go outside of the temple to see the bird, if we see it." Niamh goes out and stops in surprise. "Oh, hello Jimmy. We searched you and Gwen. Is she here?" Niamh asks looking around for Gwenhwyfar.
Not really willing, but not having a better idea he follows Niamh outside. "Wow, I'm impressed. Not the bird and not Tauriell, but you managed to find someone."
As Gwenhwyfar spots Abstalar she kneels beside him, but stays quiet not wanting to interrupt him.
"You see, my ideas are better than yours!" Niamh says grinning at Abomentolor.
Abstalar notices in the corner of his eye someone beside him and is quite surprised to find Gwenhyfar beside him at the Desna Shrine. Finishing his prayer he turns towards her.
"Hello Gwenhwyfar. What leads you here?" he asks with a pleasant face as always.
Gwenyfar takes a short look to check, that her mum is nowhere to be seen and whispers "Hello Abstalar. I would like to purchase 'The Birth of Light and Truth'. But not a cheap one. One of these beautiful ones like the one placed on the shrine. As a gift for mum."
"Please come with me to my room." he answers leading the way to his vestry. Closing the door behind Gwenhyfar Abstalar asks. "I guess you know they are expensive?"
Getting out her belt pouch she interrupts Abstalar "I have money. Over a hundred gold. I hope it's enough."
"I didn't mean that you don't have the money. I meant something else. You know your mum. She is a very modest person. You think she would be glad if you hand her a golden tome, just as big as the one on the shrine?"
