Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"Be calm now you creature." Abomentolor orders the half-orc.
Turning to the slaver he starts "Let me help you here my friend. Before this monster you brought here hurts someone because you can't keep it under control how about you sell it to me. I know what I do and can have this threat removed from here in no time. And it shall not be to your disadvantage. I'll pay you the full price you paid for him."
Bluff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
(Not that it would matter, he is charmed anyway.)

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"Don't mention it. I won't let you down in that situation." Abomentolor replies and counts out 50 platinum. "Now just go on with your business as usual and I take care of the orc."

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"Who are you? I need a name to put on my accomplishments list once I've burned you to ashes." Abomentolor threatens.

Tauriell |

Tauriell takes a look around to check if that man has support and hands Hector her mace. "Just in case this man decides to not politely move out of the way."
Perception: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (16) + 22 = 38

GM Foxy |
"I'm Black Marin, I'm the leader of the Freemen. You're new to the town and I don't think you have the support of a faction in town to act against us." the man replies, his hand on the pommel of his sword.
To Hector he adds "You can just leave these two here and come with me to become a free man."

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"I'm Abomentolor Goblinburner. And I would really like to know how you compare in power to these Ardocs. Because today I kicked the ass of - what's his name? - in his stupid balcony home. And I got the feeling kicking yours here on the street will be a lot easier." the gnome replies.

GM Foxy |
Black Marin is unsure what to make of this.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
But they seem to be serious. But tries to keep his cool. "It's one thing to kick a single man's ass - and something completely different to get away with it. If you're still here next week, then I'm impressed."
"Now tell me what trick you did there with the slaver."
He gulps visibly. He is much more impressed than he wants to show.

Tauriell |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Tauriell sniffs in direction of the Freeman. "I smell fear." she says with a grin and takes her bow from the shoulder, knocking two Arrows.
"But tell me Hector. What do you think of the offer Mr. Marin made you?"

Tauriell |

"Hector, you're the best. I really like you." Tauriell says with a genuine smile.
And turning to Mr. Marin again. "I don't think you're entitled to know our trade secrets. So you can either get out of our way or find out the hard way, what you're entitled to."

Tauriell |

"You're barking up the wrong tree. Hector here has all the freedom he wants. I'll buy him some new clothes and a big sturdy axe and he is set for his new life." Tauriell explains with a proud gaze at Hector. "Go tell that humanity stuff to that slaver or that old lady who bought those two girls."
With that she simply walks past Marin. "Come Hector, we're done here."

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"If you had been nice I would have talked to my new friend to give you some discount too. But now you're out of luck." Abomentolor replies spitting on the ground near Marin's feet and follows too.

Gav Nahli |

Gav hurries over from the shadows "I'm here. Don't make such a fuss. Some people like to keep a low profile. Come, I'll bring you to a shop where you can get your half-orc dressed up."
He then leads them back to Hospice and into a small shop crammed to the roof with the goods. Normal people can navigate through it if no one comes from the other direction. But Hector can only walk in the main aisle without bringing down the well balanced stacks of goods.
"Hi Jim, I brought you some customers." Gav greets the shop owner who is of cause one of his friends.

Tauriell |

"Hi Jim." Tauriell greets the guy.
Looking over the shelves she states "I need a shirt and a kilt as well as some basic equipment in a backpack. Like a grooming kit and such. And a really large and sturdy axe. Also some armor, but I'm unsure what kind."

GM Foxy |
"Hi Gav. Hello Mylady. Of course I have what you need. I'll fetch you everything and you can choose here at the counter what you like." Jim replies with gold coins in his eyes. He quickly moves through the aisles and grabs stuff from the shelves placing them on the counter.
A master-work backpack. A grooming kit in a noble teak box. A kilt in the colours red, black, white and dark green, a shirt made from fine linen in a matching dark green as well as everything that belongs in a standard adventurer pack.
Also a great-axe with some engravings and some armor- a chainmail, a studded leather and an armored coat.
"Here you are. What would you like of these?"

Tauriell |

"This wooden box you can put away. I want a set rolled up in a cloth. I didn't ask for bathroom accessoires. Also pure linen would fit him better for the shirt. For the armor I'll take the chainmail. Now tell me what's the price of all this." Tauriell demands.

GM Foxy |
"Of yourse, of course. Let me do this." He puts aside the unwanted items and adds the natural white linen shirt and a simple grooming kit. Doing a quick calculation he states.
"All of that together with this masterly made axe and the armor is 470gold but for you as Gav's friends I'll round it down to 450."
Chain Mail
Axe
Kilt
Shirt
The warez are not as high quality as Jim states and his prices are above average.
Chain Mail 150gp
Axe 20gp
Kilt 2sp
Shirt 3sp

Tauriell |

Appraise: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
"You know what, Jim?" Tauriell replies taking out her pendant of the souk. "This here belonged to the prince of the market in Magnimar. The sorry chap no longer resides with the living. And now this nice thing helps me a lot to appraise the value of things. Like the warez you are praising here as masterwork quality."
"Now I give you some time to do your calculation again. And don't forget to give us the Gav's friends discount." she states. Her face clearly showing the 'not amused' expression.

GM Foxy |
Jim takes the axe in his hand and eyes it sceptically. "Oh, you're right. You're an expert aren't you. My bad. Shall I get you the masterwork one? No? Ok then..." He recalculates the items and offers "That's 232 gold and some with the backpack but as Gav's friends you get it for 220. What do you say."

Tauriell |

"That sounds more realistic." Tauriell replies and counts out the coins. "Hector, pack up your stuff and give me my mace back. But you need a bath before you put the new clothes on."
"It was almost a pleasure doing business with you, Jim. But I'm pretty sure that will go much smoother the next time. See you." she tells and is on her way out.

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

Abomentolor follows out of the shop too. "Now that is an interesting concept. It really seems as if we need some allies in this town. If everyone is with everyone either friends or foe it would really help to have someone you know is on your side."

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"I don't want the work. I just want someone who doesn't tell me he's my friend and then stabs me in the back when I turn around." Abomentolor asks with a side glance at Gav.

Tauriell |

"Yes back to the Canary House." Tauriell answers Gav.
"I think the Augurs are such allies now. Who else do you think of? The Ardocs probably won't become our friends and besides that I don't know who is a faction here. Gav, tell me: Who is important here."

Gav Nahli |

"There are a lot of important factions here. Some you have already met. Horus Ilaktya you have met. Black Marin is an important guy of the Freemen. You know - the one who want to free all the slaves. There are some monks - the brothers of the seal but they are useless and they are in clinch with each other. The duskwardens you probably got to know already. Madame Rose, the one who bought the slave girls earlier is an institution. And the Ardocs of course. There are a lot more. I could continue all day about that." Gav replies.
