"I could retrieve it, I think, if it is needed."
If he removes his armor he'll have a +6 to Swim, but that might slow us down a bit.

Mrachni nods and begins to remove his armor, then purses his lips and dives into the acidic pool to retrieve the remains.

DM Feral |

It takes a bit of effort but Mrachni is able to drag the slain Rovagugian's remains out of the acidic water. On the body he finds a few trinkets that are indeed magical and likely valuable to the Society.
Returning to the upper level, the party finds a number of former prisoners filing out of the oddly placed fortress. One of them steps forward and bows gratefully.
"I'm Bertrag. Thank you for clearing the way but I must ask you one more favor, that you see us back to the monastery. Most of these poor souls are travelers snatched off the road by those horrible cultists but my brothers and sisters at the monastery can help get back to where they need to be", the young monk explains.
He looks up at the fortress. "It's a shame we'll have to leave this behind. I'm afraid shrinking it back down might collapse the cavern on top of us."

![]() |

Poor guy. I bet he's one of the ones all over the boards claiming warpriests are underpowered.
Turning back toward the fortress, the orc studies it thoughtfully. "Perhaps there is a way to remove it..." he mutters, glancing up and down its height as if by doing so he'll discover some secret.

"Hmmm, I might be able to reshape enough of the stone in another day or 2, not sure though, I could also summon an elemental for almost a minute if that would do it."

DM Feral |

Through it seems counter intuitive, Rayne rigs up an improvised bracket to secure the weakest section of the roof by using some of the nails and iron railing from the defunct mine cart. The fix works, barely, and gives *whoever* enough time to shrink the fortress down and escape out the mine's entrance. With their prize in hand, the party and the haggard prisoners return to the Tar Kuata monastery.
Though the commonly accepted path toward self-perfection rarely involves revelry, when the Pathfinders make their victorious return, even the stoic Tar Kuata celebrate news of the cultists’ defeat. Bertrag narrates his account of the party's heroic deeds, and Aeotsep warmly congratulates the Pathfinders on overcoming such a trial. Honoring their bargain, Itephta and Menkha formally transfer the Sky Key component to the Pathfinder Society, trusting it to party's care. Itephta also offers a sealed letter to deliver to their leaders, extending his compliments and friendship. Lastly, Itephta offers each member of the party honorary admission to the monastery, should any of them wish to return and someday continue their studies.
All done!
