"Glad you made it Rayne-- Whoa, what's this you brought with you?"

Shaken Will: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 12 - 2 = 17

Rayne may be late to the party but his arrow arrives just in time to catch the knight battling Mrachni in the chest. Impossibly he refuses to go down but the mighty orc finishes him a moment by driving his blade into his opponent’s belly. The Rovagugian collapses to the ground with a bloody gurgle, the sight of which causes the other two to falter.

They’re both intimidated for 2 rounds.

Seelah is up.

It turns out I'm a liar. Seelah was the first to act.

I'd planned to escape after I learned where it was and report it to my master at the monstary but when I saw how many others they'd captured for sacrifice, I knew I couldn't leave these poor souls to that fate."

Suddenly additional voices can be heard from behind the door, tired and haggard but alive.

"Fortunately I'd brought a trinket with me for protection just in case - a trinket that grew into the enchanted fortress we're inside now. I activated it and brought all the prisoners inside protecting everyone but effectively trapping us in this mine. I was worried we'd all starve in here! Is the way clear? Leaving the fortress for now, the party further explores discovering a tunnel that leads away from the chamber. It gradually descends over the course of several hundred feet, occasionally branching out into short side passages and smaller unoccupied chambers. There's a few tight spots that requires squeezing but minutes later, the party emerges into large open space.

Greenish filaments crisscross this flooded chamber, whose pools of murky water release strange, foul-smelling fumes. Large boulders protrude from the water, many covered in profane markings and bloodstains. Bass chanting can be heard from around the corner.
