    Then perhaps we should go there and see about Crypt of Fools. says Rhyno, eager to move on with the mission.


    Half an hour later, Sen gets the party arrives to their destination.

    Smoke and steam pour through many openings of this misshapen building. Gears and gizmos can be heard clicking against one another in a rhythmic cadence. A loud “chunkchunk” sounds as several pistons churn up and down, powering some unknown machine. A cacophonous symphony of grinding metal plays on. An enormous sign, nearly the entire width of the building, declares it to be the Hall of Wonders.

    Everyone can make a perception check.

    Understanding finally dawning on Rhyno, he unlimbers his hammer and looks around for an entrance, planning to rush in to aid the person being shanked.

    Ryster hoists hhis loaded musket and chuffs along after the party.


    Rhyno opens the front door.

    Inside the Hall of Wonders, the party can see the outlines of three great structures piercing a thick mist that chokes nearly the entire western half of the building. A brass planetarium rotates in the northeastern corner. Next to the celestial model, a clockwork contraption ticks and tocks as it turns on its axis. Finally, a giant metal crab sits with its claws extended on a southwestern platform. A hatch at one end of the crab provides an entrance into a barrel-like chamber.

    Rhyno steps in and seems dumbfounded over the oddities found inside. "What the... be that a crab? Is that supposed ta be Golarion?" He then looks to Ryster, as giving his flame shooting machine, he would probably have the best answers.

    Rhyno, seeing the gnome in trouble charges forward at the closest foe, bringing his lucerne hammer down with a massive crunch.

    If there's nobody nearby with no concealment or a viable target within 30 feet, Sen will be moving forward stealthily. Half speed, keeping behind stuff from the voices, etc. etc.

    Alexia sighs. "Nothing like a fair fight, eh, boys?" With that, she takes a handful of sand and, letting it slip through her fingers, casts a sleep on the thugs (and the gnome, unfortunately). The DC is 15.


    Rhyno’s hammer smashes into one of the ill-prepared thugs to the shock of all three. The man’s ribs are pulverized but the blow but he stays on his feet, powered by will alone. The bloodied gnome looks up with a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

    He’s ferocitying.

    Sen successfully moves behind the displays all ninja-like.

    Alexia your spell will finish next round.

    A woman appears on the catwalk overhead. She bears a striking resemblance to the woman encountered on the slave ship months ago…

    The catwalk is 10 feet up.

    ”Who are these fools? Bah, it doesn’t matter. Kill them!” she screams over the noise of the clockwork machinery.

    She retrieves a familiar holy symbol from beneath her blouse and summons a pulse of negative energy.

    Channel vs Everyone: 1d6 ⇒ 1

    No will save since it’s 1 damage damage regardless.

    The thugs forget the gnome for a time and close on Rhyno. Better prepared now, the lanky ulfen’s hammer bounces off of the thug’s armor as they close.

    Vs Rhyno: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
    Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
    Vs Rhyno: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

    After clubbing the ulfen soundly across the jaw, the injured thug succumbs to his wounds.

    Ryster and Chorister are up, followed by Alexia’s spell (assuming she makes the concentration check), followed by the rest of the party. I’m a bit busy this afternoon so I don’t have time to fiddle with the map. I don’t think it’ll matter much.

    Chorister had been silently communing in order to bless the group, but Rhyno's injured state quickly changed the clerics mind. Stepping up to the larger man Chorister swaps protection from evil for a healing spell and bestows it upon Rhyno.
