Oooh I need to put the weapons on there, my apologies!
And... yes I apologize for that. Your next immediate pilot check will be a success in order to compensate for my mistake. Forgot to add that bonus.
EDIT: Okay weapons are added to the walker and exo-suit. Had to remove a mod from the exo-suit because I forgot to total up the mod count, oopsies!

I had an idea, but not sure if its possible given the nature of FTL in Savage Worlds.
Would it be possible, if enough energy was burned, to calculate a microjump hyperspace jump that would put us a few hundred meters from the base, but past all of the planetary defenses.
Thinking along the lines of how the Galactica did an FTL jump to save humans that were planetside, then FTLed away in the Edward James Almos series.

See now that's inventive! The thing I like doing is that I'm not a setting clinger. I like improvising a ton of stuff, so I think it would be possible.
I would say that of course it's incredibly dangerous. So in order to do it, you will need to make a pilot check and I want to say a knowledge check. The AI could handle that for you, but I think the knowledge check is to know how to tell the AI what you want to do. (A related skill check to speaking will also work. Or something related to computer use)
Then I have the fate die roll, due to constant chaos of the battle, you need a clear line of shot to where you will land. So you don't FTL into a passing ship.

Hmmm...I can't think of a better way to get the Sunrunners noticed than to try it. However, with the risk, I'ld like to hear from the others to see what they think.
I have Know:Astrogation d6, so that should cover being able to at least phrase what I'm looking to do to the AI. I'm not sure how Persuasion would really be applicable.

I think that would work with describing the maneuver to the AI. I say go for it. The worst that can happen is that this becomes the shortest game I've ever played.

What? No, that wasn't in the plan. No improvising on the fly like that, Rio! That's dangerous! We didn't go over that! It's in NONE OF THE STRATEGIES YOU FOOL
But actually, it's pretty cool, so I'd say go for it...
Brintak |
I really hope that 'crash course' is just a phrase, and you don't mean that literally...
Brintak |
Glad to hear from you, hope everything goes well with the family emergency. Hopefully the game will pick back up when everything is resolved.

Okay, I'm alive, I've survived, but to be fair I just want to let everyone know that everything will be okay.
More things unfolded, pretty my a snowball affect in the last month or so. But things are settling down and now that I have my head on straight I can come back to GMing.
I may be a little slow to start with, but things will ramp back up. I'm still dealing with a few things, plus a move that's happening in about two months from now. So it might get a little spotty here and there.
In regards to the campaign here. Things will shift into a more Roleplay focus. It started off with a large combat to help familiarize everyone with the system before settling down into a more Roleplay attitude.
I apologize for the absence, but here's to hoping things will get back to normal now.

No problem, Vinsomner, just great to hear that you're doing okay! Whenever/however the game gets back going again, it's fine with me.
Brintak |
Glad to hear that things are now going well. Looking forward to seeing the game coming back.

Is it just me or does Rio's avatar look kinda like Nicolas Cage?
