Hello everyone. I finally made it on here. Bear with me I've never played by post before and am still trying to figure this infernal interwebs thing out.
For my character I am looking at a human male kensai magus with a very, shall we say, out of the normal background. Still working on him but he is close.
First noob question. How do I make the dice rolls in text?
There will be more noobness to follow...

Jess Door GM |

Hey! Welcome, welcome.
To make purple text (out of character text) type [ ooc]Something something [ /ooc]
Only remove the space after the opening brace.
To make dice rolls, do [ dice]1d50+5[ /dice].
For more hints, look at the "How to format your text (Show)" below the posting box.
I hope Crimson Jester joins!

Hello Worrgrendel. Glad to have you with us.
So Paladin, Ranger, Magus & TOZ..... hmmm, I think I'll rule out wizard.
'I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.'
I like that TOZ is his own class.

Iirc it was a craigslist ad for a topless GM for his bachelor party. The thread about it is still in Gamer Talk forum, full of mocking.
Still having a think on my PC's class, since we may need a touch of healing.
the mockery strikes me as silly. Its a batchelor party. I think I posted as much in that thread.

Yeah, if someone's willing to pay it and do it - well fair enough.

Dude, it's already difficult to DM. Doing it when the point is for everyone at the table to stare at my boobs? And I"m topless? I already have that problem fully clothed at cons.
Yeah. No. :P
I suspect it'd be unusually easy to fudge the dice-rolls. ;)

Oh, and if you change the hair-colour to the one in my icon here - this is kinda what I'd look like if we could have imported outside images to use as our avatars.

Kajehase |

Yep, I've got 10% off at a bookstore. Thus I'm gonna be getting Mythic & Ultimate Equipment, of course no promises that I'll read them :P
*I'm so behind on my RPG reading.
I think I'll do the Mythic one in December, and then get Equipment and the new Bestiary after Christmas. Next month's extra money are taken up by the next module and probably bike-repairs after my little encounter with the asphalt a few weeks back which seems to have messed up the gears.

Nice, if you could put a link in your profile that'd be amazing.
As far as my PC is concerned, here's the alias. I'll change the avatar and possibly the last name.

So, I've taken both Varisian & Taldane languages - they're the associated ones? It's 2+Int 1st level spells that are available in my familiar?
How much would a chipped tea set cost/weigh & the same for some wooden balls?
Then I'm 'nearly' finished. Apologies for taking so long.
Cash: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5) = 7 x10gp
Hey, Kajehase. With our slightly below average gold, it must have been a long journey that we've been on that's eaten into our funds. (either that or tithes or some taxation).

how bad is the damage?

Kajehase |

Luckily it's more annoying than crippling (as long as I get it repaired in time, at least); it seems that if I drop below a certain pedaling-frequency it'll skip into 1st gear (of 3) without warning and make some rather worrying twanging noises. Very annoying when you're going uphill, and this town is built in a river valley, so...
I suspect it's something I should be able to fix on my own, but me and stuff that requires hand-eye coordination is usually a bad mix - I'd probably just make it worse if I tried.

The Eternal Rose shall provide for us.

Willow, you start with all 0 level spells, and 3+Int Modifier 1st level spells.
what size are the wooden balls? Like billiard balls? Bowling balls? Wooden sling bullet sized?
Chipped tea set - porcelain, I'm assuming. is it bone china with intricate painting? Or more rustic?

DSXMachina |

Apologies about the stupid question about the spells, but I couldn't see it in the prd.
Probably an old porcelain set that she's managed to pick up. With a faded flower motif around the rim and saucer. Possibly only a 4 person set, in a case to protect it. (of course, I might have to sacrifice a compass for it).
The balls, I was thinking to be a set of 3 hand-sized wooden balls (like you'd use to play boule). Slightly bigger than pool balls. So you can roll them down corridors, throw them for distractions, fail to juggle with them.

DSXMachina |

Nope, just means that she enjoys the night sky. Spending evnings just watching it with an affinity for the stars*. (Or 'Alluring' is nice, as is Pantheist - to read the tea-leaves giving an idea of the future).
The Noble Scion feat could be intriguing too, especially since the campaign trait could probably be 'Riftwarden Orphan' (mainly for the associated path & slightly for the fluff).
(Otherwise, my 2 feat options may end up Toughness & Evolved Familiar)
*I'm not really keen on all those "turn into a weird-thing" prestige classes.

Although, to be honest, I stopped shopping a bit before I ran out of money so as to keep from ending up with an encumbrance penalty from all the stuff.
...probably should have included a comb and some washing gear, though...
oh, I should buy that shouldn't I? Kipka is an usual gnome in that she focuses on appropriate things at inappropriate times. She doesn't dress like a normal gnome in that she seems to prefer muted, almost normal tones that blend in with the wilderness/whatever the worldwound is. She is a bit obsessed with her hair, and wears styles based on what she has heard of/thinks the whore queens would wear.

Willow Hopgood |

There we go, with the probable addition of a snuffling hedeghog. Willow is finally completed.
However orphans weren't unusual especially with the crusades going on. It was said that her bio-parents were of noble birth, that gave her a sense of pride and responsibility.
Her adoptive parents used to be the head servants to the dead Riftwardens.

I have a background now! Its a bit sparse but the humie I work with tells me it needs to be that way to give Jess Door DM "something to work with." Humies are so obtuse and lacking in details, its a wonder they get anything done!
case in point, I don't have any "feats" yet!
