Lief quaffs his vial, bringing his barrier up, and easing his worry somewhat. Watching the hall getting destroyed, he takes heart that the attackers aren't going after patrons, for now. This doesn't have to be a bloody affair... does it? The question in his mind is quickly answered, as blood pours from the chest of one of the intruders. That's unfortunate... Seeing Kaylayne readying rocks, Lief stands back for now, yelling at the intruders.
"Leave now, and avoid further bloodshed, blaggards!"

Round 2 - Initiative 9
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Dimitrio is suddenly surrounded by two thugs and his bravado seems to have been ignored. Hoping for the guards to come quick and put and end to this, the bard steps back and starts inspiring his comrades as well as demoralizing the opponents.
Once more, he speaks of Varisian legends where bravery was paramount. In this particular tale, he tells of how a Varisian rogue managed to skewer a couple of werewolves.

Ederin, feeling too far from the fray, charges in to be closer and more effective. Kaylayne targets orange and strikes him, maybe not hard, but hard enough to raise a bloody blister on his skin. Garridan moves into position. Dimitrio steps back and tells a tale, inspiring the group to greater things.
The Tweedles also leap into action,

Also, you need to be able to hear Dimitrio to get his bardic bonus (not also see which I told one of you in error). As you're split in this combat, I'll use the handy perception checks to see if you heard enough of his bellowing to be helpful.

Lief continues to bleed all over the kitchen floor. Well, at least his blood will be easy to clean up later. Samaritha rushes into the kitchen and tries to reduce the problem. She casts a spell, pointing at the large half-orc.
Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 vs DC 14
And suddenly the half-orc is half his size! He looks up at Dimitrio and threatens him with his tiny little fists...
The guards guard the remaining thugs in the main gambling area. They survey the damage they were able to do, and while it certainly could have been worse, they did a decent job with the time they had. ‘course one of their party is dead, and two captured, but still they smile.

Dimitrio Carini |

Dimitrio is quick to dodge both fists from the half-orc before he's reduced in size.
Too much adrenaline and the two thugs continuing to feed the nascent fire make the bard try to end this quickly. And Lief isn;t getting up...
He tries to skewer the reduced half-orc in front of him.
rapier: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Dimitrio's AC is 16 so I don't think the half-orc hit me but let me know if I'm missing something here.

GM_Euan |

Oops. Yellow forgot to go last round. Clearly he was so impressed with the damage that was being dealt, he just lost track of time for a moment...
He steps up on Kaylayne, threatening her. "Quit now, and yield, and I won't smack you."
Do you yield?

"Yield?!" Kaylayne's eyes dart from the goon's blade to the window behind him. She sees her face, bloody and cut from from blade and blade again. Her face, her dead face...it cries and shakes its head.
"NO!" Kaylayne screeches in horror and stepping back, taking the gash across her arm. She wishes she could focus enough to wish she had magical bracers to protect herself. Not willing to die, much less face her mortality awaiting out the door, Kay throws another stone.

Ederin moves silently through the area, keeping his senses as honed as he can. He stops outside the next door he comes to, proceeding only if he think he can make it through unseen. Once through he'll continue skulking until he comes across the source of the noise.
Ederin will give up the stealth and kick the door, while drawing his bow to attack anyone who may come through.Readied attack provided GM is okay with the door kick not interfering

Garridan rushes to the doorway of the kitchen and immediately sees Dimitrio surrounded and out numbered. With a flourish he thrusts forward with his rapier past his opponents guard.

GM_Euan |

Ederin stealthily enters the cages area. Kaylayne refuses to yield, and while she takes a hit, she returns one as well dropping her opponent. Garridan has some trouble with the door, but manages it and attacks the thug beyond - striking deeply and dropping the thug with one blow! Dimitrio cuts another broad slash across the half orcs chest and at long last his greatly reduced form collapses to the floor.
Meanwhile…
The kitchen is indeed filling with smoke. It’s hard to say how much fire there is, but something’s definitely burning.

Like so much dried up spittle at the corner of a sleeper's mouth, Lief's blood starts to congeal enough to prevent further spillage, so long as his body is not jarred heavily to reopen the sword's penetrating wound.

GM_Euan |

Lief finally stabilizes as the fight comes to a close. Samaritha rushes into the kitchen (forgot to move her last round, but no big deal) and starts fighting the fire with a pot of food dumped onto one part of it.

Careful with your reading Garridan. The last remaining thug in the kitchen surrendered. Do you still run him through? :)

Dimitrio Carini |

Dimitrio virtually snarls at the guard that just surrendered. Yeah, the same guy who just tried to kill me!
He then kneels in front of Lief and brings his hand over the big lump on the side of his head. The bard draws arcane symbols in the air while thanking Desna for the healing magic. That's his story and he's sticking with it. :)

I'll figure you're going to rapid shot my poor rogue and go from there. Larur remains tied up for now.
