Yes, I recently moved and am switching to a new schedule and handling things. So my posts might be a little slow.
Aren Starlight
Heh, Kezra posted while i was typing up my post and getting ready for work.
Aren Starlight
Yay, I hope everything is good.
Zashier
Hey all. TSP and I have discussed my joining this game as Zashier. Not much in the stat block atm, as I do not know the exact character creation rules.
The concept is a mortal herald type of Io, the king of all dragons and father of Tiamat and Bahamut, placing dragonkind before all others. He is TN because he will kill good adventurers if he must in order to protect young dragons or eggs. On the flip side, he has no problems being 100% diplomatic, working in a more or less good manner to avoid problems or attacks on them.

Still haven't heard from Ferun and Kommander. I'm giving them until tomorrow and, if they do not post, we will continue events. If they don't show in a few weeks, we'll decide what to do regarding their absence. Sound good, everyone?
And welcome, Zashier! This reminds me, have you read Van Graff's Guide to Dragons? Got some really cool dragon-only spells and such.
Aren Starlight
Pardon me if I'm trying to figure out the whole father of dragons thing when we have dragons and such.
And It looks like you are Lvl equivalent to 21 with 18 lvls in a classes. Two of those look like prestige classes which you can't gestalt together as far as I remember.
We are only 17. With 3 Mythic Tiers.
GM Eternity's Steward
Zashier, she is correct, 17th level is the gestalt, with 3 mythic levels. Template CRs count as class levels on a 1-1 basis.
Aren, he is referring to Io, from the old 3.X pantheon. Basically THE dragon god! Also, you can double up on PrCs, I just said people can't split the levels from one PrC on both sides of the gestalt.
Aren Starlight
I know who IO is. As a LONG TIME Fan of dragons I know. Also the different iterations of him.
I figured we were more using Pathfinder. But I can understand that. A mortal Herald should be interesting. Especially with that mentality.
Zashier
I have no idea why I thought 18. No biggie. Not like there's an actual CS yet that would need to be modified.
Bout to head to bed, so I will fix it tomorrow.
I am mortal btw. I am in no way some sort of divine offspring or anything like that. Think of like a Chosen from Forgotten Realms, without the mechanical benefits of the various templates.
Aren Starlight
Yeah I edited that slightly. I just woke up myself. See above.
Yeah in Pathfinder, they have the two dragon gods. Aspu and Tiamat. (Bahamut copyrighted) And they are said to have created the first gods and one of the original creators of the universe. Just so you can know where pathfinder has taken then.
No mention of the father Io.
Kezra Tern
TSP, you said "Template CRs count as class levels on a 1-1 basis". Do you mean 1 CR counts as one level on one side of the gestalt (like one monster level does)? Or like it takes one level on both sides (or two on one side)?
The build rules we got from RVT were the latter. (Monster levels exchange 1:1, but templates exchange 2:1.)
So as an example, Kezra is a CR 5 elemental with +6 CR of templates (mighty, advanced). the 5 CR took up 5 levels on the left side of his gestalt, and his six templates took up the next 12 levels on that side of the gestalt. I could have instead had the 6 CR of templates take up 6 levels on each side, if I'd wanted to.
(Obviously it's your game now so if you want different rules that's cool, I just want to make sure I understand!)
Also, Io raises the question: are you using any one cosmology as the basis for yours? Or is the cosmology homebrewed, but might take elements (like Io) from various established settings?
Aren Starlight
Dragonsoul mage and Dragon Prophet are Prestige classes correct.
If so you could only do this. Prestige classes CAN NOT Be gestalted at the same time. Only with a regular class.
1--Half Dragon 1 / Half Dragon 1
2--Sorcerer 1 / Oracle 1
3--Sorcerer 2 / Oracle 2
4--Sorcerer 3 / Oracle 3
5--Sorcerer 4 / Oracle 4
6--Sorcerer 5 / Oracle 5
7--Sorcerer 6 / Oracle 6
8--Dragon Soul Mage 1 / Oracle 7
9--Sorcerer 7/ Dragon Prophet 1
10-Dragon Soul Mage 2 / Oracle 8
11-Sorcerer 8/ Dragon Prophet 2
12-Dragon Soul Mage 3 / Oracle 9
13-Sorcerer 8/ Dragon Prophet 3
14-Dragon Soul Mage 4 / Oracle 10
15-Sorcerer 8/ Dragon Prophet 4
16-Dragon Soul Mage 5 / Oracle 11
17-Sorcerer 8/ Dragon Prophet 5
Aren Starlight
Oh, I see. I was going off the rules of gestalting.
Sorry, If I came off as rude. I was trying to help. I didn't realized you had ruled you could do two prestige classes at the same time.
Aren Starlight
Can we know about the Dieties and such then. I thought we were using Pathfinder set but now knowing its homebrew it would be good to know the standing of who the gods are.
Aren Starlight
Only problem with that is all the conflicting stories and overlap of deities. Aspu and Tiamat from Pathfinder are different from Bahamet and Tiamat from 3.5 ect.
It could get muddy quick and means when we become dieties it isn't that big a deal because there are so many already. That is a concern I would have.
As for suggestions for gods I can't really give any without knowing your direction in going with the story. Pathfinder already had an extensive list. And 3.5's is even bigger. I personally like the story between Aspu and Tiamat in Pathfinder but that is me.
I think Io is a good god, but he wasn't always dragon were always right. He would harm dragons that disturbed the lesser races enough to cause dragon hunts and such. He was much more standoffish and let things go while the active movers and shakers were his kids.

Ok, I'm considering options for my six extra levels.
One option, upgrade to Elder gravity elemental from Large. That gives me stronger gravity powers, and increases BAB, HD, and abilities. One concern, I'd be Huge, ~30' tall. i assume I'd need a way to shrink down to at least large, maybe medium, to get into places... And RAW Reduce Person doesn't work on me because I'm an outsider. TSP, could I have a custom item that let me shrink? Or have that ability included in my mythic scimitar?
Another option that's interesting is the Godling PrC.
... And I'm sure there are a ton of fun options I haven't thought of so if you want to help me Pimp My Cosmic Godling, any of y'all are welcome to suggest stuff.
I'm inclined not to go spellcaster since everyone else in the party is at least half caster... Though it's possible I'll change my mind on that.
TSP, I remember you mentioned some very cosmic classes. Can you remind me where to find them?
Aren Starlight
What fits Kezra. The once swashbuckling adventurer now Gravity elemental.
I would actually Recommend the Swordlord prestige class with your high dex but you don't have the feats for it. Also TSP would have to approve Scimitar over the normal Dueling sword.
Take a look and see if you like it.
Kezra Tern
I found a WotW campaign of yours but not a WotR. The WotW thread has no mention of "stars" or "moonchild". (I searched.)
Anyway, I think it probably doesn't make sense to go with a caster class -- it's not really my vision for him, and everyone else is a caster anyway -- though the book still sounds like fun so I'd love a link whenever convenient.
Aren, thanks for the suggestion of the Swordlord. Definitely considered it!
In the end I decided to:
* become a huge gravity elemental (instead of large, +2 CR) -- assuming we can work out some way for him to shrink when needed for space considerations, or if TSP just says not to worry about it, and then
* take 4 levels of the Godling PrC.
Profile (and stat line) are updated to the new newness!
It plays to my strengths and fits my image of who he is (and is becoming). I considered a spell-less Paladin for a bit because it has so many mechanical benefits for him...but it really doesn't fit flavor-wise.
TSP, let me know your thoughts about a way for a Huge Kezra to shrink when needed. Thanks!!

I have an idea. Are you amenable to losing a level of Godling for a template? Sorry I haven't posted yet. My buddies threw a surprise party for me earlier since I've been feeling like crap, so I've been doing that for a good while. Just got back home and showered recently. Probably going to bed after I sift through my discussions and recruitments.
Kezra Tern
As I've probably said before, this'll be my first time playing Pathfinder at anything near this kind of power level. (I played AD&D at these kind of levels...but it's been a while.)
I just started comparing Kezra to various biggies: Tarrasque, Orcus, Lucifer. Holy Crow! I know I shouldn't get cocky quite yet but....what exactly do you plan to put in front of us that'll challenge us? Assuming a fair fight (we both see each other and then roll for initiative) and average rolls, Kezra can take down a Tarrasque or Orcus by himself in 2 rounds a piece, or 1 if he spends some mythic power. Lucifer would be tougher, taking maybe 4 rounds (or 2, if he spends MP). If Lucifer and Orcus got married, bought a pet Tarrasque, took a few rounds to buff up, and then the three launched a surprise attack on Kezra...he'd be in trouble, but has a reasonable chance to emerge victorious.
...And I suppose this begs the question of character advancement. Are we using an XP track to level up? I know that gestalt characters are always way more powerful than the norm for their level, so XP advancement can go by fast...but it looks to me like (on the medium advancement track) a single challenging encounter will add multiple levels.
BTW, I'm still excited to see your idea for a template for Kezra!
Aren Starlight
There are many things that he can do to challenge us. Especially when you start adding Mythic. Mythic Tiers on those creatures quickly makes them just as powerful. Things you would handle with care I could not. If I am caught by surprise I lose what AC I do have.
Heh, The challenge may be keeping me alive. Though, I should be able to keep you guys alive. Realize I can not carry material components for those healing spells of upper tier. You will have to buy those for yourself. So resurrections and Restorations will need expensive material components.
Aren Starlight
Have you selected your mythic path yet? And added your 3 mythic tiers?
Kezra Tern
Yeah, I don't doubt for a second that TSP will be able to kick our butts. I think my post can be read as "nothing will ever be able to challenge us" but what was going through my brain was more of "I'm totally curious -- and excited -- to see what/how he challenges us".
I'm crystal clear that TSP has played and run a ton of Pathfinder at this level so I'm sure he's got plenty of tricks up his sleeve...but that doesn't mean my mind isn't blown a little bit when I realize what Kezra (or any of us, I suspect) can do. ;-)
Zashier, are you playing in RVT's version of this campaign as well? Looking forward to reviewing your character when it's complete...and glad to see an Archmage in the party.
BTW, I made a Google Sheet compiling each god-to-be's domains. I've left the Kommander on it for now in the hopes that he returns...and added columns for Zashier and the GMPC-who-might-or-might-not-be-Khalid-ibn'Ignaaris.
