The prison guards rush in, followed by the palace guard. there follows (unless you attack them) a barrage of questions, most along the lines of "what the hell has been going on? did you find the shaeshifter? are you the shapeshifter? can you cure the plague without Tom? or Should we be arresting or knighting you?

Knighting, certainly! We have apprehended the culprit of the plague. I...I can't say I fully understand what happened or why, but suffice to say there is no longer a demon portal. Roshan can explain more, thank you.

Roshan shifts uncomfortably. "I can say with certainty that we have apprehended a major conspirator in the unsettling goings-on in Eloen. Two other demonic conspirators are dead, and any of the nobility who succumbed to their temptations are turned or dead as well. When we hear more from our companion, Sir Ron, we will know if the powers assaulting your fair city are routed, deterred, or merely hindered by our efforts. I submit fully to your scrutiny and the justice system of Eloen. A chirurgeon swears to do no harm as she handles a heated blade. So too have I crossed lines to bring you this small victory."

Sara... or seprahime or whatever she chooses to call herself is responsible for a certain amount of the skulldugery, and Urisatra's death... what of the plague, have you four some recourse for that? and what of the duchy's other enemies, these "Aboleths", what shall we do about them?

The plague and the Aboleths are connected somehow. The cultists that trapped me seemed intent on freeing the beasts and they have some connection with the shapeshifters. We should interrogate and eliminate these cultists.

But I needs rest before we go, and I would ask yer leave to borrow a suit of armor. He looks down at his filthy underclothes. Mine be missing.

Roshan suddenly realizes she debriefed the wRong Ron. "Lady Jodithas has been worshiping fraudulent gods and propping up a plot to use Briben's Wealth and the late Urisatra's clout to infiltrate court, and fill the city with incendiaries. She called them the ancient ones. They came in dreams and through a medium. We should locate Jodithas and her heretic medium."

I flinch when Roshan says “fraudulent.” I remember what happened the last time...

Could I possibly recover the armor from Wrong? Was it in the room where he died? Could I retcon having put it back on? My shield was destroyed pre-Wrong in one fight or another. Maybe the Manticore?

She’s an elf that kills demons. Roshan might be right...the demonic corruption is shielded from elves, substantial and eradicated. There’d be a lot of senseless loss of life if we told her. She’ll move along on her own.

I would like to rest too. I have no idea how Ron can help find Jodithas and this oracle, so I've been sitting back.

Since March, I think. Haven't even looked into what I would pick for an advancement, and I'd need more than an End of Session to level up.

Your best hope to capture the orace would be with information from Lady Jodiathas... just don't bring any drinks.

Arriving in Lady Jodiathas' chambers you find her awake, wiht a half-dozen loose-boud tomes beside her, and another in her hand. she does not look like she slept.

Godslayers. She says by way of greeting Went over my journals, made a list of other servants. She says in a single breath.

Sarah and Cassie were left in the care of Lady Ralorelei's medics. She was told "this is the creature who raised me. I'd ask you not kill her, though she certainly deserves it."

Roshan smiles and takes Orilanae by the shoulders. "You have done well. Your sins may weigh on your soul in perpetuity, but rest now. There is no more I can ask of you at this time."

Belym points to Zandil's name. "That's who we're looking for, most likely.". She also points at Briamar. " If I remember what Tom said correctly, it's possible this alchemist might be of use to us as well."

"All guards and servants are suspect, yes, but we needn't alert the whole court to the fact that we know. I've agreed to defer to the Duchess and keep her informed, I ought to at least act as though that agreement was made in earnest. I can inquire after guards and courtiers alike... Does anyone have a better idea?" The tone of this last comment suggested Roshan really hoped someone did.

I look at my magic sword, start to open my mouth, than think better of it.

Perhaps we can start investigating this list on our own. Ask around and find where they are and then deal with them ourselves?
