"Well, that's annoying," Mohok rumbles, "but at least we haven't been buried. Yet." He begins to study the other doors, helping in looking for any traps or indicators of which is the real way forward.

Auto-aid on Perception for anyone studying the doors. Probably makes sense to have Garam do it, since his bonus is the highest by far.
If he takes ten, four of us automatically aid and we end up with a 46. That oughtta do the trick if there's anything to find.

Garam doesn't let the frustration get to him. Thankfully his insanely keen eyes help locate yet another trap! Indeed each room has a similar wedge to the last room, but this trap is far more insidious. The wedge has a magic trap attached to it...

The good news is, he also finds a secret door in the back of the tiny room... on the other side of the trap.

I'll assume Pip Takes 10 again.

Pip finds this trap to be deadlier, but also easier to disable. To double check, she opens the secret door.

And nothing happens, other than revealing a new passage that works itself behind where the doors would have opened, if they were real.

"Well, thanks," Pip comments, a but sore. "Lot of good it did us, as well. All of the traps just seem to be decoys. Here, it's all smoke and mirrors to draw attention away from that secret passage. I suppose that one is free of traps, it should be safe. Although we have no way of knowing what's behind the door, of course." She's not brave - or stupid - enough to take the lead.

Boom is BOTH. In spades. And hearts, and also diamonds and clubs. With a cheerful cry of energetic verve, she charges for the door. "LET'S WHAT'S BEHIND, SHALL WE!!!"

She allows only the tiniest of pauses for Garam to check over the doorway, then barrels through.

The party watches as Boom walks into a disintegration trap opens the door at the end of the secret hall.

A foot of standing water covers the floor of this forty-bythirty- foot chamber. A marble pedestal stands in a recessed alcove on the south wall, on which rests a rune-encrusted iron lamp. The walls bear intricate mosaics of a terrible water genie tormenting the citizens of a lush river valley in various ways.

A pair of undine are the only inhabitants of the room. They sit facing one another in the center of the room, resting in the cool, still water covering the floor.

The lack of explosions from the room before prevented them from realizing anyone was coming until the door opened. When they see Boom they're startled, and furious.

"INTERLOPERS!" they say in insane unity. The male looks utterly insane, the woman not much less. She matches the description given to you for Zahra.

Garam floats into the room, staying out of the water, he doesn't want to get his feet wet!

I am sorry, but this will simply not do. Zahra, I need to ask you to come with us please. I do not know who this person is but I fear you have been affected by Moukmadeen's madness.

With that Garam gathers his strength and twists the strands of fate to aid the group, bursting into entirely inappropriate fits of giggling afterwards.

Evil eye hex imposing -4 to saves on both of them using split hex. DC24 will save. Failing the save means it lasts for 12 rounds. If they make it then it lasts for 1 round and Garam will Cackle as a swift action to extend it to 2 rounds using his Cackling Hag's Blouse

Remember everyone, we want to bring back Zahra alive.

DM S - it probably won't matter again but, as indicated in Mohok's stat line, underground is one of his favored terrains so he should get an additional +2 to initiative (unless we're somehow not underground). Certainly doesn't make a difference in the case of this fight, given his initiative roll.

Pip rounds the bend after the others. "Well, this isn't entire surprising... Zahra, whatever Maukadeem has promised you is a lie! He corrupts and lies, to get what he wants." She sighs. "Words aren't going to make an impression, I'm afraid." She makes a small gesture to invoke good luck and then casts a spell to make her streak forward suddenly, leaving behind a multi-hued cascade of images behind her. At the end, she materializes next to Zahra and strikes to disable the corrupted woman.

Ah, that's unexpected... In that case the GM will have to do some reshuffling? Bladed Dash allows me to move forward without provoking AoO, so I'll move adjecent to Zahra, preferably in a flanking position. If that's not possible, in such a position as to make it easy for the others to flank next turn.

Boom's swing catches only armor and making a loud ringing sound in the room. The hellknight and Velidor follow behind looking for the best position.

Pip's astonishing fleche attack catches the undine full on, knocking plenty of wind out of her. She begins a song that sounds like waves cashing and her whip immediately begins to crackle with electricity. She steps away, ignoring Boom, and cracks her scorpion whip at Pip's neck. "Leave him alone!"

Boom swings mightily with her elongated, terrifyingly muscular limbs.

GM: I'm unsure who I am taking an AoO against, but Boom does have Long Arm active so she has reach with her freakishly flexible arms (link). Add 4 to the attack roll and make it lethal damage if the AoO is against Moukadeem.

Mohok keeps his words calm but she lashes out with her scorpion whip nonetheless. AoO: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (19) + 17 = 36 and cuts him open for DMG: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 and Elec: 1d6 ⇒ 2

It doesn't stop the half-orc though, he gives her a solid crack upside the head (no crit.)

The Hellion takes a far more lethal approach. It gets a scream from Zahra "DO NOT HURT MOUKADEEM!" Svetlana's first swing cuts him deep though.

The steady *WHOOSH* of her wings floats Boom a little closer to the male, well within the reach of 6-foot arms and 6-foot blade. Following Svetlana's example, she opts for full-on fury with this interloper. "LET GO OF MY FRIEND!!!" she giggles.

Pip watches the man draw on the power of ice. She has a quick flash vision, watching herself nearly encased in ice and crouches low, trusting her instincts. With relief, she feels the cone of frost pass overhead, putting just a bit of rime on her head. She's going to open her mouth when Hellion attacks the undine and Zhara fiercely reacts. "Well, I was going to ask whether that was really Maukadeem, but that answers the question well enough."

The half-orc feels at her neck where Zhara's whip struck her. She feels somewhat numb from the shock and decides not to pull any punches. "Right, you asked for this." She shifts the grip on her longsword and takes two short hacks at the woman.

Boom gives a clear ultimatum and punctuates it with a single hit, albeit a potent one.

Pip makes a pair of VERY real swings I'm reading that as lethal damage? they connect, and her blood begins to cloud the water too. With all the head smacking, she's barely conscious.

Garam continues to weave the strands of fate around the two of them, driving them into the blades of his allies. He keep's giggling, it is a little disconcerting in the circumstances.

Apply the evil eye hex to reduce AC to both of them, DC24 will save or it lasts 12 rounds, if they pass it lasts for one round. He then cackles to extend both the save and AC penalties.
