1d8 ⇒ 7 for Grym's new HP. Dont forget Con bonus and favored class bonus.

what about money? Can we sell off the loot we didn't equip? There is a lot of MW stuff, especially from Verik. Can we get a consensus on selling it and splitting the cost? Is there a way to RP the sale into a better deal for ourselves?
I'm all for selling off the loot we don't use/need. I'm sure our face man can get us a good price if the auto die roller doesn't totally screw him.
Odric the Stout |
We already divided and sold gear up through Zellara's deck. Everything from there down needs to be sold and divided.
No, I took out the gear that was already sold off. The stash you are thinking of included the succubi statue, the ring, the queen's brooch. Everything left on the list was not sold and remains in the non-existent community bucket.
The text from the gameplay thread:
Dungeon Master, Gaius will sleep in his home and then head out to appraise and/or fence the goods.
-Teak Cigar Case (inlaid jade)
-2 lb gold bar stamped with Chelish royal crest.
-Miniature Gold Crown
-Scrimshaw Kraken with Garnet Eyes
-Silver Ring "For Emmah" (Odric)
-Ivory Succubi Figurine (Gaius)
-MW Shuriken
-Adamantine Arrowhead (Ferox, you're an archer, you want?)
-Abalone Shell Holy Symbol of Shelyn
-Crystaline Vial of Silversheen (will appraise because vial is worth something, but we should keep this for future use)
-Oil of Keen Edge (Odric)
-Obsidian Wand of Magic Missile (Morkeleb)Anyone else want to lay claim to something?
Gaius Lirsiiv |
Nope. Cigar Case SOLD. Gold Bar? SOLD. Mini Crown? SOLD. Scrimshaw SOLD. Silver Ring returned to owner by Odric and Grym. Succubi fig SOLD. Abalone HOly symbol of Shelyn SOLD. All funds distributed to party members at that time.
MW Shuriken... Ok, I'm not sure about that one.
Adamantine Arrowhead went to Ferox.
Silversheen was kept but I don't know who's holding it.
Oil of Keen Edge went to Odric
Wand went to Morkeleb.
Gaius Lirsiiv |
"Gaius fences all goods except for the Silversheen. He pockets it for emergencies.
Then at Zellara's Gaius gives everyone their split of 290 GP, but gives a slightly lighter pouch to Odric (265 GP)."
Okay, I guess I'm carrying the silversheen. Remember? That stupid pissing match we had with the money back then?
Odric the Stout |
Yes! That is what I'm saying! These items were sold or distributed, if you look on the giant list above, none of these particular items are on there. well they are, but they have a disposition marked next to them. To make this easier, new list with ONLY items that have yet to be sold/used/given to someone:
Yargin Loot
Amulet adorned with pale garnet.
3 vials of standard issue acid,
2 tanglefoot bags
1 thunderstone.
Acid splash wand.
Shanks loot:
100 pinch
50 shield
Baldrago and Malder Loot:
2 long swords,
2 light crossbows,
2 heavy steel shields,
40 quarrels, and
40 Gold Sails
First 2 Meat Baddies Loot:
a longsword,
a heavy warhammer,
2 heavy steel shields,
2 light crossbows,
19 bolts, and
40 Gp.
Verik Loot:
masterwork chain mail
MW spear
Curative potion – better than ordinary?
Bottom line, what can we get for all of the above?
Morkeleb the Mighty |
Keep the alchemical stuff, don't sell it. Morkeleb took the wand. If someone wants the chain mail, keep that. Keep the potion, which is a . . .
Spellcraft (using The Deck for Identify): 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 20 = 35
potion of what?
sell the rest.
Thorgrym the Tracker |
Cool. Thanks. Cleric of Calistria, Lust and Thievery domains
Interesting a rogue/cleric. The Calistrian priesthood certainly seems to complement a thief.
Ferox Kerr |
If you pick your favored class when you level up, you get either +1 skill point or +1 hit point. Some of the races provide special favored class bonuses too.
Chris, Ferox will need a d8 HD.

I agree that we should hang on to the alchemical stuff

Allow me.
Keeping:
3 vials acid (M will take 1--I have a very nasty idea)
2 tanglefoot bags
1 thunderstone
Acid splash wand (M)
From Verik: Curative potion – better than ordinary? (my spellcraft was 35)
coin:
80 GP
50 sp
Definitely selling:
From Yargin:
Amulet adorned with pale garnet (appraise first)
3 long swords, 22.5 gp
2 light crossbows, 70 gp
4 heavy steel shields, 40 gp
59 quarrels, and 3 gp
1 heavy warhammer, 6 gp
1 MW spear, 150 gp
Total resale: 291.5 gp
Question on:
MW chainmail, 150 gp
So we need an answer
* from the DM on the vaule of the amulet
* from the party on whether to keep the chainmail. I'm fine with either; I'll vote "sell"
Oh, and Rich--roll your own damned hp dice, you pussy!! :-)
HP +7 (roll of 5, +1 con, +1 fav class)
BAB, Will +1
Skills: Know (history), Know (arcana), Know (Planes), Craft (alchemy), Spellcraft, Linguistics, UMD
Spells: magic Missile, Unprepared Combatant
I think that's everything.

Yes. Yes I am. You konw wizards are squishy by design. At least I make my own rolls!! And getting 1 less than max roll doesn't suck, so there.
Howzabout busting out that superior appraise skill and determining the value of that amulet rather than b1tching about my hp ya great git???

7HP a level isn't squishy. You're a pussy because you're not playing a real wizard. Real wizards have 4 HP or less and can cast one spell. They survive by using their brains.
You pussy.
Chris Marsh |
Who's the best Appraiser? Otherwise you can get it appraised.

Aahh. Um, I can't really argue that. Except with this:
DM, I think Tony is arguing to go back to 1e. :-)

Tony, I've got every Basic product ever released. If you and Rich didn't live in MA, You'd be upgrading your elf to level D right now.

Hell yeah.
Have you checked out Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG? I'd love to get you in a game.

My smart phone is dead. I'm on my dads tablet right now. My posting will be spotty at best this week. If I'm not posting don't wait for me. I'm fine with Chris auto piloting me or Adam has authority to post for me.

FYI, Tony has been on vacation this week in Maine. He should be back and posting by Monday at the latest, if not sooner sometime this weekend.

So Paizo announced a bunch of new things for next year and late this year, some of which affects us:
Gamespace. They're going to redesign the messageboards to better handle PbP. The new version is a free web-based virtual tabletop. What that means is when you go to Paizo.com, I'll have the map up and the relevent game information. Then YOU click and move your character to the new square etc. They're still planning the scope, but they mentioned things like individualized fog of war.
Ultimate Campaign manager. This is more for me, but they're making a massive hardcover book that includes stronghold, kingdom building, guild management, mass combat, and inter-adventure rules. It's what I've asked them to write at pretty much every Gencon for the last 5 years.;-)
Chris Marsh |
Hmmmmm I'll check that out today. Paizo says that their tool will be up and running this summer. If it's super easy to use I'll do that. Otherwise I'll just get an update on when Paizo is going to release theirs.
Chris Marsh |
What are people using for browsers. I've got a great option for the map that lets me upload and move baddies, and you move your character (no software needed) but it doesn't support IE.
Chris Marsh |
roll20.net recommends Chrome. Paizo hasn't announced what they're going to require on their own site yet.
Bucho, IE is Internet Explorer .
Sandor Stouthammer |
I have IE, I also have Chrome, and Firefox(aka Mozilla) because of the fact that Roll20 only works with those 2 browsers.
I have been beta testing Roll20. The mapping is easy, and I like the multiple auras that you can put around people to denote many things, like move/threatened area, visible area, holy aura.. ect, and you can give each character control over their own tokens.
As a GM roll 20 is nice since you can preload multiple maps and easily switch maps to those that the characters see.
The one detractor I have from it, is that the voice/video program they use is horrid. It is flash based, and has random spots of delaying voice/video. I have tracked that it delays some convo's 20 seconds.
Ferox Kerr |
I primarily use Firefox, but sometimes switch it up with Chrome for fun.
