Guilty as charged! Anyway those are only meant to separate the scenes, not really to make whatever we do in secrecy, right?
Anyway, the main goal I believe IS to chase the trail, but we cannot do that if the citizens want to arrest us. So we lose a few minutes making sure we will remain free and then we go for the trail. We've lost a whole night, but we could not follow it yesterday night, right? Let's chat with everyone and be on your way.

I think it's fine as long as you don't use any of the information gained in a spoiler in your own encounter. Until we get a chance to meet back up, our characters have no knowledge of anything within the spoilers, which is the important distinction.
I read the spoilers all the time.

It's new stuff and all, but I made a Shaman and it's simply underpowered. There's not a single spirit with two good hexes. And you get three of a single one, which will make you even worst at the later levels.
For example, this is the "Greater spirit" ability you gain at 8th level if you select the Life Spirit:
Healer’s Touch (Su): With a touch of her hand, a shaman
can touch a dying creature to stabilize it without the need
of a Heal check. She can affect up to 6 people as standard
action. Furthermore, a shaman gains a +4 bonus on Heal
checks.
At 8th level? Really? What the F~$$ I'm going to do with that at level 8, where we have Mass CLW??

The Shaman looks just awful. It has no idea what it wants to be. The Hunter looks severely lacking, too. But there are a couple (Investigator, Brawler, Bloodrager) that actually seem pretty great.

I've only skimmed most of the classes myself. But I have to admit I have a ridiculous level of love for the swashbuckler. I had an old character back in 3.x who I have always thought about bringing back at some point but never could quite figure out how I would build him. He was a fighter but just way too full of himself and a big show off. I had considered making him as a gunslinger even though he never used firearms and the swashbuckler just fits it so much better.
The arcanist seems like it could have alot of potential too. I have a friend who likes the ultimate magus style of character and that will let him have that without weakening himself greatly to manage it.

Agreed on the Swashbuckler, I'm really digging the sound of it. Not sure when I'll get a chance to make one, but it sounds loads of fun.
The Arcanist is getting a pretty large rewrite, from what I've heard, to make it a bit more different from the Wizard/Sorcerer.

Right now my in person group is doing Shadowrun so I'm not sure when I'll get to test any of this stuff out either, not to mention I'm normally the one running things anyway, but I enjoy the concept they have presented anyway. Its cool having they look for ways to fill various classic roles that might have been too much of a stretch for just an archetype to cover.

Are you playing 4th or 5th edition of Shadowrun? Some friends are aching for me to run a game of 5th, but I'm antsy. It's been a very long time since I've DM'd, and I'm not very familiar with the system. If it's 5th, I'd like to know how you're enjoying it.
With regards to the DM not getting to play, you could also take a page from my buddy Duboris- He's running a Single Player campaign on the boards here (just me as a player), so the game is going pretty quickly, and since my character can't do it all, I'm frequently having to find 'companions', Baldur's Gate style, to join up with me for various missions. I'm not sure if he intended it that way or not, but it's giving him a ton of freedom to play all manner of various classes, and at different levels.

I'm running 5th edition. Shadowrun is probably my favorite setting for a system, but we have a bad habit of our games getting out of hand in terms of scope so we don't play it as often as I'd like. I've started things off as a more gang level game and its working great. I feel like the alterations to the matrix make sense in setting while also helping to keep hacking more as part of the team and the limit system works pretty great in giving everything a uniform set of rules. We aren't real far into things, but have been having a lot of fun with it.
In my real world situation, the other guy who would alternate DMing with me moved away for a couple years and just has recently returned, but his current schedule isn't allowing him to play much. We've had one of the other guys run something but it didn't work out real well. I'm sure I could have NPCs give me a bit of a feel of things, but I don't really mind being the DM. It just means I don't get to try out a lot of the ideas I come up with.

Great... we have had one battle with shadow goblins, and now the next battle is going to be the Drow and the Dwarf attacking the mayor. I want my share of shweet lootz if you get any! lol

Nah, It's crap Vorik. The Protection minor gives enhancement bonus to armor, which do not stack with the armor enchantment, while the major gives a +1 deflection bonus at 10th level, where we would all have rings of protection, at least.
The major ability of nobility is a good one tough. There are several good blessings, but we lack a healer (although we barely made a combat), and the caster power the warpriest lacks is just too much, making of him not an effective healer, but a powerful combatant, and that's just not Aetherni, he's not good at that.
I hope Tarlane is alright, cause he is gone for a couple days now.

Yeah that's a bit silly. I think the real perk of the Major for Aura of Protection is supposed to be the resistances, but neither of them seem to actually give bonus armour, which is silly.
However, as far as healing goes, don't forget that Vorik and I will be able to do a bit, too. Play what you're interested in!

Thanks for your support folks, but that was the plan since the beginning.... I can help with the offensive, but I'm not a dedicated damage dealer. I had thought about the Holy Vindicator prestige class, but that would be around level 9, and we've been pretty much stuck here, so I won't plan it much further.
Besides, I WANT to have the Aura of Menace ability. Hear me Roar! ^_^

My apologies guys, I slightly dropped off the face of the world here for a few days as well. As most of you guessed, Thanksgiving did a number, but I am back and am ready to roll.

I'm very sorry everyone for having disappeared on you all without properly keeping in touch. I don't really really want to get into details on the boards, but my RL has sort of imploded on me in unforeseeable ways. In the near future, I don't know if I am going to have any sort of regular internet access or much ability to get on the boards.
At the moment I am not entirely sure if it is going to be something of a short delay or if I could be mostly quiet for a bit longer term. I've really been loving this game and I hate that I am having these sort of interruptions and can't even tell you whether I just am asking for a pause in things or if I am going to end up dropping off the face of the earth for a while.
You all have been great players and I hope that no matter what we can stay in touch, if I start to get things under control again before you all drift off I will let you know, but I do want to thank you for the game we've had. Hopefully I will get to see you all again soon and I want to apologize again.

Well, take care of your business Tarlane, it comes first, and I hope you manage to get a hold over everything off.
Since you do not know when (and if) you will be coming back, I'm focusing on studies on the first half of January, so I might be away when that happens, but you can bot me if things coincide.
Otherwise I'll also be waiting.
| Brutus Tarsi |
As everyone else has said, do what you need to do to take care of stuff on your end. If things settle down and you can get back here, I would love to see this game pick back up!

I know we are hibernating, but I wanted to, while I was thinking about it, wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. I enjoyed this game probably more than was healthy, and hope that the new year might bring new life back into this.
Also, I probably won't be checking this for a week or more, so if something happens, I will be back! Just letting you all know.
