Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric and Z:
Mel grins happily at her fellow conspirators, joy at being able to sidestep the smothering 'help' of the prince's staff clear in her demeanor.

Her eyes light as she remembers something else, <I know you may already have something picked out... but I thought of a present for Lio and Shae's wedding that they may like. Small portrait amulets in the shape of an acorn for each of them.> A pleased if embarrassed smile, <We might even be able to get the pictures done before hand as a surprise... maybe...>

<What do you think?>

Male Human Cleric 10

Sandru:
"What's a drink or three between friends? Anyway, you look like you could use some rest and relaxation after the way you snapped at Hrunndalf the other day." Alaric gestures to Gansukh. "This is Gansukh, our guide."

|Gansukh, this is Sandru, my friend. Now lead on, lad.|

Male Human Cleric 10

Alaric will also attempt to sell a unit of trade goods while he has the time.

Male Human Cleric 10

M&Z:
<Perfect idea. Keeping one's loved ones close is always a good thing.> He pauses. <Zaiobe, you were amazing the other night on stage. Just incredible. Much more than this toad deserves. I was too cranky to say anything about it at the time, but, you know, I was thinking it. Which you probably knew already.>

Alaric Graff wrote:

Alaric's Tradesman check: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 26

Alaric sells a unit of trade goods for 260 gp.

Alaric:
Sandru greets Gansukh and follows along as he and twelve other people lead you through the winding streets.

"Oh, caught that, did you?" Sandru asks. "I suppose once Ameiko shot him down, it was only a matter of time before he was after me again with his charmingly racist wit."

Alaric and Melinda:

<Once again, you can count me in ... although, do you mind if I get Liothonae something on my own recognizances as well? I'm in the bridal party, so I feel that I should give her an individual gift, too.>

Zaiobe blushes prettily.

Mel rolls her eyes at something that the other woman communicates, and then turns a happy green herself. She leans against Alaric, smiles at the other woman.

Zaiobe:
<We both know that you are far more talented than the person who you learned from.> Then the blush, <It's sweet that both you and Alaric feel that way.> A mental grin, <I just hope I do well enough that I don't embarrass us all.>

Myriana:
At some point, Zaiobe tracks you down and offers a hand to you so she can talk.

<Just so you know,> she says. <Jorun, Ulf, and I are planning to take Liothonae out for her bachelorette party after the Feast of the Honored Visitors. Just thought you should know in case you, Tollin, and Ameiko wanted to do the same for Shalelu.>

Zaiobe:
<Is this something that should be a surprise? Because I feel bad having a conversation literally around Alaric not including him.> A smile, <But if it is a secret, well... that's different.>

Mel shakes her head, <Nope. If you have something else in mind, I'm sure she will appreciate it.> A smile, <She asked me to play music at the wedding. It makes sense that she would make the wedding party the people that she likes to be around.> Mel's smile widens, <I'm sure that you will all make sure that her wedding day goes smoothly.>

Z wrote:

Mel just grins, the shadow puppetry replaying itself in her mind.

Sandru:
"I missed his comment," Alaric says, "care to share?" At the bar, Alaric orders some of the local booze, since Sandru seems to prefer that.

M&Z:
"I'm looking forward to when we have a theater for you to..." Alaric blushes, realizing that he's talking about a future with the both Melinda and Zaiobe.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

A&Z:
Mel smiles a little dreamily, "Theater. Library. Nice large yard. Trees. Hot pools and steam bath. Books everywhere."

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Alaric:

"Some b@$&@~+# about how he was happy to handle selling the trade goods, in case my criminal Varisian reputation had preceded me," Sandru grouses. "I don't know how Ameiko puts up with it. I think she thinks he's not serious."

"This is good stuff," he adds, sampling the alcohol.

Sandru has been introduced to Rice Beer. Everyone may increase their Relationship score with Sandru by +1.

Alaric:
Alaric may increase his Relationship score with Sandru by an additional +1 above that.

Sandru:
Alaric laughs. "I'll admit to some racism myself toward Hrunndalf's people. Well, more toward their culture. I don't think they're genetic barbarians." Alaric drinks deeply of the rice beer. "Agreed. We should take some along, introduce it to Rhost and Kalimac."

Another drink. "Anything happen with Uksahkka?"

A&M:

<Maybe tomorrow while I'm finishing up the palace tour?> She shrugs, <I know it's silly, but I don't like to exclude Alaric from conversation when he is around.>

Male Human Cleric 10

M&Z:
"Bed big enough for three. Giant closet full of lacy things in two sizes." Alaric's grin has grown now that he realizes all three are on the same page.

After a moment, he clears his throat, yet instead of speaking, he merely projects through the link. <I was thinking about the three of us. Right now, Zaiobe, you're sort of in a bad position, but I had an idea to help with that. I was thinking that whenever two of us have sex without the third, in the next encounter, the third has the option of deciding what we do. A to Z:
Mel laughs, her hands slipping to said belly. "Bedrooms. A number of bedrooms for when they are bigger." A smile, "Lots of windows and skylights. A garden."

Shalelu looks touched.

Alaric:
Please spend 1 gold to pay for the round of drinks.

"I've had rich people I know tell me that eventually you stop noticing them, they just kind of fade into the background," Sandru comments in Halfling. "I'm rather hoping I never find out if that's true."

A&M&Z:

Morning of Gozran 30

You are still far north enough that the last day of the month is cool, but the weather is definitely getting warmer as the days progress.

Just before Melinda is about to embark on her second morning tour of the Palace, a pretty Tian servant with fine features, whom you might have noted as being a part of Ameiko's retinue, curtsies to Melinda as she is passing by.

|Have you ever been to a masquerade ball?| the woman asks, apparently apropos of nothing.

Mel looks at the woman with a smile her head cocking to one side, |No, ma'am. I have not, why do you ask?|

Kyrademon:
Why do I think this may be Ameiko?

Or someone who is going to try to kill me... one of the two... :)

Evening of Gozran 29 / Early Morning of Gozran 30

Again Rhost sits down in a heated bath and falls immediately to sleep. When he awakens, he sets back off toward the kitchen. |Kitchen?|

When he arrives, he starts pointing to those unrecognizable things from the previous evening. |What?| and |How work?|

GM:
My thought is that the last 2 points of Crafting could be done immediately after shopping. If this is not the case, then the kitchen expedition will be much shorter -- but still occurs.

In the evening, as people begin to trickle in, returning from various ventures around and about, Ameiko gathers the Caravan together prior to that night's feast.

"Niisiis, ükskõik teil õnnestub leida midagi poliitilise olukorra Minkai?" she asks. "Mul õnnestus teha mõned paludes umbes täna hommikul, kuid ma püüdsin hoida seda peent koos ... saatjaskond rippus ümber."

Halfling:
"So, any of you manage to find out anything about the political situation in Minkai? I managed to do some asking around this morning, but I was trying to keep it subtle with the ... entourage hanging around."

"No Sama asi. ma teada, et Forest of Spirits on iidne koht, mis jääb Hongal ja Minkai. mets on teada, et kummitab, nii et tee Minkai nimega Spirit Road, seelikud metsa lõunas ja läänes. Lojaalne samurai of Minkai s Jade Regent patrull Spirit Road suurel hulgal, et hoida seda avatud ja turvaline."

Halfling:
"No. Same thing. I did learn that the Forest of Spirits is an ancient place that lies between Hongal and Minkai. The forest is known to be haunted, so the road to Minkai, called the Spirit Road, skirts the forest to the south and west. Loyal samurai of Minkai's Jade Regent patrol the Spirit Road in great numbers to keep it open and safe."

Myri shrugs, not thinking this to be overly helpful.

There are tears in the Prince's eyes by the time the story is completed. He applauds for a solid five minutes, as do all 300 of the other guests present, not stopping until the Prince does.

"That was lovely, simply lovely," the Prince finally says, overcome. "The simple elegance of the story, the surpassing loveliness of the music of far away - you have a particularly lovely voice, I could not help but notice," he adds to Myriana. "You show how decrepit and moribund the arts are in this land," he continues, shaking his head sadly.
...

A slight flush once again has found it's way to Myri's cheeks. She does not meet the Prince's gaze. |"We are humbled by your approbation, your Eminence. We know that our raw, untrained talent was only a small note in the ballad of Lady Ameiko's song. And truly the styles are so different the two cannot be compared. Until just recently I had never even heard of throat singing, but now I find it...absolutely fascinating.|" She glances briefly at Uksahkka before looking admiringly at the performers that went before. |"I am truly excited and full of wonder at what other forms of art and music might reveal themselves as we travel in this vast new world we have come to."|
