Female Helmet Cat

Some of us are crazy indeed. I think even I am only posting moderately often compared to some of you people!

Still a construct but may have a soul?

If I'm posting too much, I apologize and just let me know. This is my first play-by-post. Honestly, I'm just trying to keep up most of the time at this point!

Female Helmet Cat

I feel like I might be posting and ranting too much, myself. This is my second time playing any games on this forum at all, so I'm not terribly experienced either.

Ice Cream Man

I know my head is spinning from the acitivty here, and I spend ALOT of time in front of my computer.

Dance-oholic Minx

Well it's partially the weekend. I am sure come Monday morn.... crickets chirp.

EDIT: Hopefully that won't be because of my death ;p

Female Helmet Cat

Or mine. :( I might not speak as often as some others, but I can rant a storm.

Daughter of Gods. Gods! or possibly of aliens.

I'll say! :P I'll slow it down. Between being bored at work and rather hyper, I'm an offender. Sorry!

No don't slow down, this is building my ego to a whole new level!

Female Helmet Cat

I spend so much time thinking of this and trying to consider strategies that work, so I always come back to throw out ideas whenever they occur to me. And yeah, work's slow sometimes.

Still a construct but may have a soul?

I'm pretty sure I was talking about my first round gambits in my sleep.

And to whoever bugged my bedroom: it counts as ooc so don't you dare use it

?????

This game has gone crazy! In the Wolves game Simon had 56 posts total, Sir Jiminy in the Mutants game had 40 posts total, Ingilstadt is already at 24 posts and we haven't lynched the first person yet! I don't have the freedom to post during work hours, so I'll fall behind somewhat at this current pace, but by all means keep it up folks, it's been great fun so far.

Dance-oholic Minx

It's just the weekend & the large numbers of people still around.

Daughter of Gods. Gods! or possibly of aliens.

I awoke at 0500 with a really long message already composed in my head. Had to get up and write it down so I could go back to sleep.

Insufferable Lout

I am just glad I am not the only who is a mad poster, lol. It's really astounding how many roleplaying posts I have made between all of the PMs and the game posts.

Thanks for the great game everyone!

Female Helmet Cat

Yeah, I've sent so many PMs in this one, and Meowmails take a special kind of effort to compose.

Daughter of Gods. Gods! or possibly of aliens.

And to read. :P

Thanks for that. I have heard about the paizo chat when occassionally skimming through the FAWLTY threads.

Glad you had a good time today. Did you keep a transcript? I was feeling so rotten when I left work that I completely forgot. IC only. I don't think there is anything important, but just in case.

Yes, I'll need some editing. (removing time stamps, etc..) Hope your feeling better now.

Daughter of Gods. Gods! or possibly of aliens.

Not so much. Posting to get a vote in while I'm vertical. Votes must be public, correct?

Dance-oholic Minx

Votes for Lynching yes. Role things, No

Daughter of Gods. Gods! or possibly of aliens.

Thank you

*shakes fist*

Cassie quirks an expressive eyebrow; "Would that work Lord Ryuko?" she calls up to the man on the balcony.

I think its a little late to post a reply in the Play thread.

Yes, Meowlesworth's suggestion could technically work based on one of the Lovers win conditions.

Still a construct but may have a soul?

Boo on feeling rotten. Get to feeling better and come back soon.

I've only been in a few Mafia irc and irl games before, but I've read a lot of play-by-post ones, and I don't think I've ever run across one this convoluted. I mean, no lynchings, no assassinations, all the backroom soft networking, the power trips.

Seriously, if any of you haven't gone back and re-read the thread in its entirety, do it when you get a chance. It is awesome.

Edit: Morning coffee = obtained. Cleaned out the parts that made no sense. Posting prior to coffee bad.

Female Helmet Cat

I'm actually pretty surprised how much plotting and scheming has happened before even the first proper death. I'm not super familiar with these types of games, but I don't think that's typical!

The Exchange

traditionally I post mostly monday-friday....

Insufferable Lout

Dangit! Get back from dinner, two new PMs waiting for me, but the voting is already closed...bah! Live my friends, live!

Daughter of Gods. Gods! or possibly of aliens.

The waiting is the worst... augh.

Female Helmet Cat

Wow, that is pretty unusual. Two no-kill rounds in a row?

Insufferable Lout

Wait...what?!? Doug, level with us....are there really assassins in this game, or did you set this up so we would just accuse each other and roleplay until we caught on? :P

Seriously, I am amazed. Despite Taraz's antics, I guess he hasn't insulted any of the assassins yet, lol.

All results thus far have been completely circumstantial. The end game list Rashida has requested I compile will spell everything out in detail. I cant say anything because as GM I must remain a completely neutral party. I've never seen a game quite like this myself either. I can assure you there are Assassins however.

If you want people to die I might suggest actually voting to lynch somebody.

Insufferable Lout

I was totally kidding of course. That was a completely rhetorical accusation, lol.

Well, the rules say the protectors would know if they foiled the assassins, so hopefully somebody knows the assassins are out there. Cuz otherwise they are meeting up one after another, and that's no good. :S

Dance-oholic Minx

Well done Eldon, surviving into the second round. First time in 3 games. :)

I think we smooshed the crickets with a wall of posts. Poor crickets.

Ice Cream Man

I know, right? I was sure I was going to be dead again somehow. Now to go catch up on the thread quick again.

?????

How did I end up in So You Think You Can Dance: The RPG, I thought this was a Murder Mystery Tour?

Totally not a Werewolf

Nope, there was a coup. It's the murder mystery hoedown now, take it or leave it :P

I hope he has time to catch up on 600+ posts....

The next one will be set in a bowling alley. People will be switching team shirts and gathering in little huddles at the bar and at the claw machine. When in Rome...

In no way can that be taken a few different ways. (And that's what she said)

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Insufferable Lout

Cheap and prurient play-on-words:

Rejected Draft #1:
Taraz stroked the warm and noble kitty. He tried to do so firmly but with a gentle touch.

"Duchess, I truly admire the way you purr."

Rejected Draft #2:
The wastrel approached the noble kitty and rubbed her softly and vigorously. He scratched her, and she purred. Taraz enjoyed the vibration under his hands.

Rejected Draft #3:
Taraz knew exactly where to scratch the soft and noble kitty to bring forth the purr. The release of tension from him was almost audible.

Rejected Draft #4:
Taraz glanced at Rashida while he rubbed the kitty. Rashida was watching as Taraz made the Duchess purr with satisfaction, and Taraz smiled. It was obvious Taraz knew right where to scratch.

?????

Hilarious! Seriously, those are without trying? Man, there's a job at Harlequin Novels just waiting for you.

Still a construct but may have a soul?

So . . . we're now in DougFungus' Dark Romantic Comedy Movie Mystery Tour, right?

Heads Up

Round 3 will probably end Thursday or Friday.

Get your votes in! Maybe just maybe, somebody will actually die this round.

Gentleman Adventurer

It's going to be hard to see some of you pass on. It's so easy to get attached to these characters when they aren't dying left and right.

Still a construct but may have a soul?

Yeah, the deaths are gonna be tough.

The Exchange

Like a holiday, it is a tempting idea to have time before the game officially starts for the characters to develop.

cheap romance novels indeed!

Her names Cassie, don't forget it ;p

Who is also played by a dude. Its hard to mix that kind of imagery.

The Exchange

What round are we in?
It seems like 3rd.....
