Matrim's background is easy. The best thing about thieves is that their early skill-sets mesh with all SORTS of different jobs. All you really have to do is take a look at Desna's Obedience, then change one thing on your character: from Perform (Act) to Perform (Dance), and move one of his background points over there. (I'd personally move the one in Gambling, but that's me.) He becomes a dancer, perhaps a festival dancer, with a family troupe that uses a lot of props (stage magic, perhaps, to help you out with the Disable Device skill) and which for the past X years has performed at the Swallowtail festival. Last year (or two or three or four years ago), he felt an unmistakeable need to stay in the town, to be educated in Desna's ways; his family has adjusted their schedule so they could arrive early and he could do a couple or three days of intense training with them, to learn any new dances they would be putting on for the festival.
Expand from there. :) Just because you're a rogue, doesn't mean you have to be a thief. Just because Ularik is a monk doesn't mean he has to count prayer beads and go 'om' all the time... ;) (Yes, I have in fact thought about Brawler.)

^ TWO has a great point, don't limit yourself based on the name of your class; a rogue can have all manner of backgrounds! Same as a slayer, really - despite the name, it doesn't mean that they all have to be down-and-dirty assassins. In fact, Sal would likely be extremely offended if you called her an assassin!

Ah, I have inspiriation!
So a kobald gemcutter and magic crafter. She makes magic items and totems, usually from gems and stone. Her specialty though are "Stonescales" small stone or gem pendants that are shaped like a dragonscale, often with engravings, but sometimes just plain yet to bring out the grand color of the stone.
She originally learned the trade from a dwarf mason, Marthik, doing work on a nobles mansion. A Shelyn priest discovered her and offered to take her to the temple upon seeing the kobalds work, a small set of scale armor made from stonescales each of a different type of stone, that she had made for Marthik.
She was a young child when some adventurers wiped out her clan. She and a clutchmate were missed by the adventurers and ran away till they were lost and separated. Young enough to not understand the danger, she tried to find food in a caravan at camp. She was found by a young girl there who wanted her for a pet. Didn't work out as a pet, but it did keep the adults from killing her at first, and realizing the kobald was far too young yet to be a menace they decided to take her in. It was with them that she learned spellcraft and lived with.
I imagine her as not being much of a fighter, at least not at first. Eventually she discovers it is a bit of an unexpected talent for her, though tactics would be deception and smarts more than anything else.

Yep. Doesn't end there either. Lia, as Arcanist, will pick up IUS to fetch Deflect Arrows and Snake Style(Sense Motive class-skilled via trait and Skill Focused by Focused Study)...because she "sees" the world differently.
Flavorwise, she won't go Jackie-Chan on punching arrows out of the sky and catching blades with bare hands. But she will see what will happen in her own strangely visionary way, and slightly shift so the attack misses.(incidentally fits very nicely fluffwise with Combat Precognition of her Dreamspun Bloodline).
I think it's a lot more fun if you just take a look at mechanics and make them serve the fluff you want, rather than the other way round.

Ularik is up-to-date!! Ularik had to redo his background - twice, because stupid computer lost it first time. Stupid bigfingers.
As a side note, since he won't need Fiendish Sorcery anyhow, I added on 'Prehensile Tail'. Ularik now has very large hands as well as large/long arms and big shoulders; his three-'fingered' tail doesn't have the strength to even wield a dagger, but it can use a pen, needle, and shaving razor just fine. ;)

“Those who die in their sleep die with one foot already on the path to Desna. You’ll always see him when you stare at the night sky.”
--------------------
Zache was born on the open road, under the brilliant tapestry of the night sky, and was quickly welcomed as the newest member of his large Varisian family. Youngest of five, he was a handsome boy, with thick black hair and glittering chestnut-brown eyes. He had straight teeth and clear skin, with one exception – a dark birthmark, in the uncanny shape of a butterfly, marked his cheekbone, one wingtip stretching to the outer corner of his right eye.
”It’s a sign!” his grandfather would proclaim, but his father laughed it off.
”It’s just a birthmark, dad. It means about as much as your liver spots!”
”Watch your tongue, boy!” his grandfather snapped, before winking at Zache. ”Don’t listen to him, alright? It’s a sign from the Song of the Spheres!”
Intrigued, young Zache took every opportunity he could to stay near his grandfather. He was the caravan’s storyteller, spinning tales accumulated over a lifetime of travels. He told the stories of the Celestial Caravan, pointing out the stars as he did so. He told tales of legendary heroes, of great battles, of Desna and her battle against Lamashtu.
”Is Desna lonely up there?” Zache asked him one night, laying in the grass and staring at the stars.
”Of course not, boy! Look at all those stars! Each one is another faithful soul, travelling the skies with her,” his grandfather smiled. ”One day, I’ll join her. And so will you – but not for a long while yet,” he added with a chuckle.
Zache grinned, staring up at Cynosure. ”She guides us, doesn’t she?” he asked. ”That’s why we travel, isn’t it – because there’s someplace she wants us to be?”
”That’s right, boy,” his grandfather smiled. ”And when you dream, it’s a sign of what she wants of you. Speaking of dreams, you should get some sleep.”
--------------------
His grandfather died when he was fourteen, leaving a hole in his heart that no amount of daydreaming could fill. He was buried under the open sky he’d so loved, and in a surprising show of tenderness, Zache’s father was there to comfort him. “Those who die in their sleep die with one foot already on the path to Desna,” he said quietly. “You’ll always see him when you stare at the night sky.”
Zache stared at the stars, certain he could see a new one twinkling among them.
--------------------
The dreams began when he was fifteen, on the anniversary of his grandfather’s death.
He was flying, his scarves and silks streaming out behind him, dancing in the wind. The moon was full, the stars were out in full force, and the night air was cool on his face. He passed over a beach of white sand, and an ocean as smooth as glass, swooping so low he could see his face in it. With a flutter, the dark birthmark detached from his cheek, becoming a royal blue butterfly that flitted around his head, before its wings covered his eyes and the dream ended.
It came back, every week, without fail.
--------------------
Time passed, and Zache grew from a smiling child to a handsome young man. His hair grew long, his voice became resonant and commanding, and the twinkle in his eyes ensured he had no lack of young women throwing themselves at him in towns they passed through. He began telling stories on around the campfire at night, continuing the same tales he’d grown up with. He spun poetry as easily as his mother spun silk, and he learned to fight, spinning his starknife in a dizzying display. He gained his first tattoos, which soon became an obsession for him.
But something was missing. The dream still came back, every Starday, as regular as the cycles of the moon. Desna wanted him to be somewhere.
When the caravan came to Sandpoint, Zache froze at the gates. “Welcome to Sandpoint!” the sign proclaimed merrily. “Please take a moment to see yourself as we see you.” Hanging beneath it was a mirror.
He stared for a long time at the dusty mirror, before polishing it with his scarf and following the caravan. For a moment, the mirror had been a smooth, glassy ocean.
--------------------
”I’m staying.” His voice was firm, his chin held high. His mother and father exchanged worried glances.
”Here?” his mother asked. ”But why?”
”It feels right,” Zache shrugged, shifting the weight of his pack. ”Someone at the Cathedral might be able to teach me more. That dream I’ve had, the sense of drifting… it’s all led me here, and I’m staying until I figure out what it is.”
His mother opened her mouth to protest, but his father’s hand on her shoulder silenced her. ”Alright, son,” he said firmly. ”But promise you’ll look after yourself, alright?”
Zache smiled in relief. ”Of course.”
--------------------
It took some convincing, but Father Zantus allowed the boy to stay at the Cathedral, and Zache was content there. He honed his religious knowledge and his martial abilities, and pored over star charts, learning the names and positions of each. And at night, he’d climb out the window and carefully pick his way up the side of the cathedral itself, sometimes all the way to the top of the spire, to stare up at Cynosure and breathe in the fresh night air.
The recurring dream ended. He no longer felt his birthmark itching as he stared at the stars. He was in the right place, he knew it.
But plans always change.

@nate lange:
Ah, I see where I went wrong. Here's the write up for the Alternate Racial Trait Heroic:
Some humans are born heroes. In campaigns that use the optional hero point system, each time these humans gain a level, they gain 2 hero points instead of 1. If they take the Blood of Heroes feat, they gain 3 hero points each level instead of 2. This racial trait replaces the bonus feat trait.
I misunderstood and thought that meant I could take Blood of Heroes directly. I'll go ahead and downgrade that to Heroe's Fortune instead. Thanks!

Another Question I Should Have Answered Sooner
This is (obviously) not a society game, but we're going to follow the PFS conventions for HP... So, PCs get mad at first and average rounded up after that; companions get average at every level including first (round down at odd levels and round up at even levels).

Coalhouse Porter |

Powerful build comes off the variant tiefling ability 'Use Large Weapons' found in 'Blood of Fiends', which replaces the (also found in 'Blood of Fiends') qlippoth-spawn 'Blur', which itself replaces tiefling 'Darkness'.
Variant abilities can be found on the Advanced Race Guide Tiefling build page, a little more than halfway down the page; 'Use large weapons' is #16 on the list.

nate lange RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32 |

"Use large weapons" and "powerful build" are two different things (the mechanical benefit you had in your crunch was much bigger than use large weapons). 'Blood of Fiends' also requires that you spend a feat on fiendish heritage if you want to be a qlippoth-spawn, and that you roll on the chart if you want unusual characteristics. I was willing to let the fiendish heritage feat slide since Aasimar don't have to spend one but we're not going to get into hand-picking variant abilities (in, fact, we're not going to use that chart at all).

Roakkad Shrikkir-tsha |

Here is my sample post. It's also in my alias. Is this what you had in mind?
The western sun sets fire to the gulf, its reflection igniting the waters as the two elements converge. Together they form a dazzling display of light. As the sun kisses the horizon, their union is complete.
Roakkad closes his eyes, momentarily blinded. Colors swirl in the darkness--raging red-orange, placid blue, sorrowed gray. These are the colors of the Varisian plains, the mountains, the rivers, and, of course, the sky. He remembers his journey from Kaer Maga. Has it only been six months? It feels so long ago I left the city.
Then, beyond these thoughts, a face begins to surface. Of course, it is her again.
Galjit, will you guide me?
The troll wise-woman gives no response. She is nothing now but a memory.
Yet memories can be so haunting.
The chimes hanging nearby sound softly as a gentle breeze flows in from the water, interrupting his ruminations. Roakkad inhales the salty air and opens his eyes. From the large conch shell before him he pours a handful of water and touches it to his lips. He pours the rest over his head and recites a verse from The Wind and the Waves. "I am the sundanceer. My leaves, rustling in the wind are my songs. The sun and the moon my eyes. It was not until You found me and acknowledged me that You gave me life. I am the sundancer. I dance in the sun."
His obeyance complete, Roakkad stands and glances up into the trees, searching for Tsharat. The she-hawk, sensing her master's call, glides gracefully down from the treetop and comes to rest on his extended forearm.
"Do you find the answers you seek, out here all alone?" The delicate voice of Sabyl Sorn carries over the echo of the waves below.
"You assume there are answers to seek," he replies, as he turns his head to grin at the monk. "I could also ask you this thing. Does Irori answer your questions in the silence of your meditations?"
"You assume there are questions to ask."
They both chuckle at this.
Roakkad has come to enjoy Sabyl's company. In her quiet, contemplative manner he has found a sister spirit. More than once he has privately lamented the fact that her faith was not chosen for the new cathedral. He might have liked to see her more often.
"Are you prepared for the consecration ceremony tomorrow?," she asks, as if reading his thoughts. Her eyes scan the massive structure washed in the orange glow of the setting sun. "I must say, the new church is awfully impressive."
"I believe that most will not be coming for the church. It is but a...sideshow for this 'swallow's tail' festival, yes?"
"You would be surprised. The locals loved their old church, and Father Tobyn even more. I suspect tomorrow will be a spiritual release for all of them, a new beginning from all these recent problems." She winks. "Of course, Jargie's famous two-pot ale is also sure to draw a crowd."
He laughs again. This is why he likes Sabyl--she is able to put his mind at ease. It has been a while since he has experienced that, and it makes him feel closer to her.
Of course, it also makes him homesick. And that, in turn, brings his thoughts back to Galjit, and he is back where he started. There are so many unanswered questions. And she, his spiritual guide, no longer alive to guide him. His confusion is only compounded by his presence in an unknown town, for an unknown purpose. For a fleeting moment, he fears that he shall never be at peace.
"As you say," he whispers. "And so it shall be. Tomorrow will mark a new beginning for your village. They may lay their troubles to rest."

The Wyrm Ouroboros |

Ah. The 'powerful build' portion came into it through Hero Lab; sorry. Unfortunately, much of the character, at least at the moment, is defined by the oversized-limbs 'use large weapons' ability / appearance; I'll withdraw Ularik from application, at least for now. (I personally don't understand why PF would have a player roll anyhow, but that's me.)

nate lange RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32 |

@Roakkad- yes. It doesn't need to be that long but it gives me an idea of how you write and what you're posts might be like, and it gives everyone a little insight into your character. Those are the things I'm looking for.
@TWO- sorry to throw a wrench in your plans. There's still 5 days left in recruitment if you think of a way to tweak him, or another concept you like.

Marcelano Alazario |

Finally, have the sample post ready along with a small change to the character sheet because I forgot a crucial item
He had just learned that since he was coming of age, he would be free to make his own decision whether to stay at the newly finished Sandpoint Cathedral, after the dedication ceremony on the day of the Swallowtail Release. Excitedly he had gone to visit his parents to tell them the news, but their reaction was, to him, strangely nonchalant. "Oh, is that so? Well I'm sure you have a lot to think about over the coming days and we don't need a distracted worker so off you go." his father had said brusquely. His mother, Ileosa, had been quiet the entire time and would not even look at him. Little did Marcelano suspect that this was in truth, just a facade his parents were putting on so that he didn't feel obligated to stay with them.
"It's nothing serious Miss Corwin. I'm just trying to figure out what it is I truly wish to do from now on." replied Marcelano; attempting to mask his sadness with an air of lightheartedness.
1d20 + 1 (Cha) - 10 (far-fetched lie)
Bluff: 1d20 + 1 - 10 ⇒ (17) + 1 - 10 = 8
Sensing that the young man was trying to ease her concern, Bethana responded gently "well, don't think overmuch dearie. I'm sure the answer will come to you if you keep moving forward. Speaking of which, you really should finish that before it all melts." Laughing at this, Marcelano began to eat the remainder of the creamy confection. The old woman's right. It isn't like me to get into such a funk. Maybe it's best if I go on a journey? With this in mind, the young chosen of Abadar made preparations for the coming day, unaware of what lay in store...
Subtracting a gold for the "meal" from my character's total, before I forget.

Lia Tani |

Sample post will be coming tomorrow(still have to decide on what situation I want played out). Crunch and Fluff mostly done, and any kind of Feedback would be appreciated.(I know I was not brought to the Temple BECAUSE of the birthmark, but I'd say it's still plenty important...)
Lia was born to a family of farmers, in a village outside of Nybor. Little more than a hamlet, less than a 100 souls lived there, and no other kids of Lia's age. So when, as a small child, she started talking to animals and inanimate objects as if they could understand her, people thought it was a lack of friends that led her to do this. Her parents worked hard, as did her 2 significantly older siblings, and had no time to spend the day playing with her.
However, when her habit of speaking to things that could not answer continued into puberty, it was considered somewhat strange...especially when she seemed to not only speak with them, but rather hold a conversation, laughing, asking questions...now, farmers in such outlying villages tend to be superstitious folk, and they worried. Not only the neighbours, but her own family as well, even if their reasons differed.
Lia's family had little money, but all the same, after the harvest was done, there was little to do for them while waiting for winter. In Lia's 12th year, they decided to travel to Sandpoint, and have the clergy take a look at her. Her older brother wanted to learn a trade in a larger city, anyway, so they gave their herds over to a neighbour for keeping, and travelled to the City.
When they arrived at the Sandpoint Cathedral, Lia was brought before a Cleric, when she grew angry:"No, he's not the one. He's all wrong!" Not knowing why the girl was so agitated, Father Hammond asked:"Why am I wrong, child? You do not know me, do you?" Lia hesitated shortly, then put on a pout:"You are wrong because Flutter told me. He knows these things!".
When Father Hammond looked at her parents with a questioning look in his eyes, Lia's father explained:"Flutter is an...imaginary friend of Lia that only she sees and hears."
Hammond asked:"And this...Flutter, he told you that I'm wrong? Did he tell you why?"
Lia looked intently at a spot next to Hammond, nodded, then replied:"He told me your cloak is the wrong color and thats why you would not understand me!"
Hammond tugged on his beard with one hand: "Aha, is that so...and Flutter is here right now? What does he look like?"
Lia shrugged:"The same as always, I guess. Like a purple butterfly, kind off, only larger."
Lia's father tried to interject:"A talking butterfly, no le...", but was cut short when Hammond motioned for silence with his hand, before he took a step back and cast Detect Magic. Looking first at Lia, then following her gaze, he cleared his throat:"I understand. You were right, I am the wrong priest. You will want to talk with Father Creeg, over the...", letting his voice trail off when he saw Lia was already heading towards Creeg.
When Desna's cleric had spoken a bit with her, he came up to Lia's parents, and explained them that their daughter has been picked by Desna, to serve in a way that mere mortals could not begin to understand, lacking the foresight of the gods. He offered to keep Lia in the temple and train her in the way of the clergy. It had not been what Lia's family came to do, but they were wise enough not to contest the plans of a god...and being a priestess would be a very respectable occupation for a simple farmers daughter...they agreed, and Lia was to stay. She was assigned a sleeping room with some other acolytes, and begin her training in the morning.
The first night after her parents left Sandpoint, however, she came down with a heavy fever over night. She seemed very ill, and 2 of the other girls were eventually tasked with bathing her, to cool her down. They stripped Lia down before placing her in the water, and found a sort of pulsing tumor on her back, a hand broad above her buttocks. One of the Acolytes quickly went to fetch a superior, while the other washed Lia with a sponge. Before the first one returned, though, the tumor opened, like a cocoon, and a purple butterfly emerged. Seconds later, the tumor crumbled into dust and nothingness, leaving only the birthmark Lia had always borne there, in the shape of Desna's holy symbol.
When the acolyte returned with Creeg, the butterfly cut into his path towards Lia, and a voice emerged from it:"Some privacy, if you please? At least let her get dressed!" Both the acolytes and Creeg stood there with mouths open, staring at the fluttering talking being before them.
Lia recovered quickly, but from that day onward, exhibited magical talent...sounds, shadows, wind...she seemed to be able to make them do her bidding. But as she drifted into the world of magic, she drifted ever so slightly further away from sanity...and with her, always, was that little butterfly...when she slept, he was gone, when she woke, it was back. And where she saw things that were not there, it seemed "Flutter" had become her voice of reason.
Either way, with her magical potential awakened, training as a priestess was suspended. She was still an acolyte, and a choosen by Desna, so she stayed in the temple, and trained as a temple maiden, until such time as Desna would send a sign that Lia was needed elsewhere.
Lia understands OTHERS perfectly. Sometimes better than they understand themselves. But others may have a hard time understanding HER. She permanently does not only see what does happen, but what could happen, or could have happened. It is a blur that is all one to her. She may see a dog bite you, and claim that the dog is dangerous, only for you to take note of the dog, causing it to back down and not bite. For Lia however, it happened, the dog bit you, even if a different timeline was travelled, because that was just an evasion that took part because she was aware of the alternative.
Seeing different strands of fate, different possibilities, ideas and motivations of people, paths open, travelled, or closed, takes a great toll on a persons mind. Where our conscious mind only ever focuses on a small aspect of what our brain thinks about, for Lia, the floodgates of the unconscious are open. She dreams permanently, while awake, and that is more than a sane mind can take.
After her awakening magical potential manifested, Lia had started using Prestidigitation to color her hair blueish. Nobody ever managed to get a satisfactory answer from her as to WHY she did so. She wears light robes, but those are more of an afterthought than a fashion statement. She had been known to forget to undress at night, or, worse, forget to dress in the morning, her mind occupied with other things. For the same reason, she has a very lithe frame. While she is very nimble, and quite healthy, she never ate very much, and often forgets a meal. She never really trained physically, and her strenght is very lacking.
A light breeze usually accompanies her, blowing into her face, and quite likely magical in nature.

@Lia- religion traits are tied to a specific deity; broken mind is for worshippers of Groetus. You can find a list of Desna's here. Now for the bigger problem... Blood Arcanist doesn't qualify for the extra exploit feat until 5th level (when they gain their first exploit). Part of me wants to hand wave that away cause you've got so much flavor there but that could set a poor precedent... There are two 'fixes' I can see; they both require a little hand waiving but in ways I find less troublesome. The easiest one would be to take a bloodline familiar. There's no published bloodline familiar ability for dreamspun, but you don't gain bloodline spells to delay so that seems like a reasonable trade. If you don't like that let me know and we can talk about the more complicated option. Finally, you can't take wildblooded bloodlines with EH: shadow is fine but not umbral, sorry.

MordredofFairy |
Ah. Thanks a lot!
@Broken Mind, it simply fit too well for her, which is why I wanted to inquire if it's ok. Since Will is my strong save anyway, I'm not sad to have to repick, though.
@Familiar...I was under the impression that while the 1st and 3rd level arcanist exploits are "replaced" by Blood arcanist, I would still have the "Arcanist exploit" class feature as a whole starting at level 1.
An honest mistake, there. I am perfectly fine with taking a bloodline familiar...Lullaby is fancy but not absolutely relevant for the idea(unlike Flutter). Just out of curiosity, I would like to know what the other option would have been?(No details needed, just a pointer to sate my curiosity?)
@bloodlines: expected as much...that is NOT set in stone anyway, I'm still torn between Spell Focus(Illusion)+Greater Spell Focus(Illusion)+Solid Shadows, or the 3 Heritage Feats. Umbral's first level ability is simply way more "useful" than Shadows, so intended to ask if you would allow it, but yeah, I know the wildblooded ones are not available by RAW(but often handwaived, unless it's something silly like Sylvan). since that would be far in the future, I just left it open and wrote both to remove the non-choosen later, had not intended to bother you with future build aspects unless picked-
I'll get things fixed before posting my sample post tomorrow.

Teobold Valdemar |

@Teobold- you can put it (the sample post) in a spoiler in your profile.
Done. Could I ask you to have a look at my profile to see if I've made any gross errors I should address before the submission deadline? In particular, I chose a RotRL campaign trait because I thought it suited the character concept so well, but perhaps you made Birthmark a campaign trait to prevent us from taking the RotRL ones?

Nightly list post! Sorry to see you go TWO; I liked Ularik and I hope you can either rework him or find another game that he'll fit.

Re: Erastil - I actually went Erastil because I've already got one or more active characters tied to the other deities; 2 Shelyn, 1 Gozreh, 1 Desna, and 1 Sarenrae. If Sal didn't work, my backup idea was for a paladin of Abadar :3

@bluemoose- as long as you can make decisions based on character knowledge instead of player knowledge, that's fine. I know there are other applicants who have played and/or run it before too.
@Teobold- i'll try to get a chance to look it over this afternoon. regarding the traits, Birthmark counts as your campaign trait and you can only have one trait from any category, so no additional campaign traits, no.

Arimna Tressen |

This looked like a very interesting recruitment, so I worked up a character.
Here's Arimna Tressen, Shelynite summoner, and Ursella, his eidolon.
For convenience, here's his background and personality. I will make a sample post later.
-Arimna was the only child of two Varisians who had settled in Sandpoint, his father a farmer and his mother an artist who frequented the local Cathedral to worship Shelyn.
-At 6, his mother died in a tragic accident.
-His father took to drinking out of grief, and became violent towards Arimna.
-At 8, the local Shelynite clergy discovered this, and convinced his father to turn over his care to them. His father later fled Sandpoint.
-He subsequently was inducted into the faith of Shelyn, proving skilled at both dance and the arcane arts.
-At 13, his mark manifested on his wrist, leading the clergy to declare him blessed by Shelyn. Around this time, he began dreaming of a woman with his mother's voice, who reaffirmed her love for him and praised his accomplishments.
-Around his 20th birthday, he was able to use arcane formulas that he had discovered in the temple's library to manifest an eidolon, who he named Ursella.
Arimna is a friendly young man and enjoys meeting new people. He embraces Shelyn's teachings, and is usually optimistic about his circumstances. He enjoys dancing, and often has Ursella accompany his performances by playing a drum. He has been known to instruct others in Sandpoint in dance, and does so for free. He is on good terms with the other clergy and residents of Sandpoint Cathedral, appreciating the good deeds that they do for the town, though he tends to stick to the Shelynites as he feels like the other faiths have little to offer him personally. He prefers to view people for their personality rather than physical appearance or gender, and is (effectively) pansexual. Nonetheless, he can be vain, and prefers to keep himself well groomed as often as possible.
Ursella is protective of Arimna, but generally light-hearted. She communicates with him by a telepathic link, and he notes that she sounds just like his mother. To others, she communicates by gestures, as she is effectively mute.

But yeah, as said, I'm perfectly happy with the bloodline familiar variant anyway, so there's that.
Yep, I think it will be though to choose.
But if everybody who IS choosen then sticks with the game, it will be a high-quality party, too, so all the more reason to hope-

@ Nate: Working on Feats and I have a question regarding Catch-off guard, would it be possible to use that feat to allow a character to use the haft of their weapon as an improvised weapon? So attack with the head of the glaive then smack them with the haft once they closed? I know I can just punch them with a Gauntlet, but 1d3+3 for damage is going to make for a long fight.
Anyway, once I have that done, I think all I have left is gear and the crunch will be done.

@Adam- I have no objection to using catch off guard to use the shaft of a polearm as an improvised quarterstaff. Please note, however, that I won't let you use it both ways in a single round... If you attack with it as a glaive you can't use it as a quarterstaff until your next turn, and vice versa (including AoOs).

Teobold Valdemar |

@Teobold- i'll try to get a chance to look it over this afternoon. regarding the traits, Birthmark counts as your campaign trait and you can only have one trait from any category, so no additional campaign traits, no.
OK, I'll pick another trait. Can my character's background include that he is related to the sea merchants of Sandpoint without the mechanical advantage of that campaign trait?

Just as a short note, I wanted to post the sample post today, but got caught up in a lot of work I'll need to have ready tomorrow. I did start writing something, but I neither want to rush it, nor post something incomplete. So, either tomorrow or the day after, sample post will come.
Just wanted to let you know-(mostly because I stated I would post today, and it kind of would seem rude to simply not post anything, then.)
