This is somewhat true, only a few of the neutral and good gods embrace technology. Brigh is one of them and she is TN, and unfortunately many of the people who would worship her are too engrossed in their own studies of technology to give time to worship. On the other hand there is the daemonic harbringer Cixyron the Furious Thunder. Not much is given on him but as a divine entity living in the realm of the four horsemen you can assume that the technology he represents (divine entity of electricity, gunpowder, and poisonous metals) the furthering of technology for destructive purposes.

okay cool, now that technology is thousands of years old even though it is high tech for us, now on to the story. Rakdon has nothing more to do.

Don't know yet. Hasn't posted for a while, so I thought I'd just post for him. Push the story forward a little, and give you guys something to do.

It's fairly easy to check on someone's posting history, you check their main profile then their current campaigns and just go through the aliases listed above current campaigns. I post just about every day in each of the games I play in, weekends are a special exception.

Still here, just a ridiculously busy weekend and similar Monday (first day of a new course at uni, always busy)

And posting history doesn't say that much. I'm one of those people who does not post, at least not IC, just for the sake of posting when there is nothing to add (wasn't the case now, but it happens often enough).

Okay... can I have picked up a spell component pouch in town? Apparently the Hunter's kit which I bought (which is supposed to have everything necessary to run your character aside from a weapon) doesn't come with a spell component pouch or divine focus :(

Note: I can see where this was a small problem, there were a lot of editing mistakes and misses in the ACG.

Thank you oh gracious and merciful gm. That being said, if these beetles have a natural armor as thick as Tetsuda we might be in trouble... granted he's got +8 (6 from being a beetle + 2 from the verminous aspect making his AC 20)


GM is the sickness permanent or temp, dos she get other rolls I ask as -2 for a 1st level PC on all "Lots" of rolls is a real hard it.

The sickness from the water lasts for about an hour. You guys can always take a break, or it will disappear after a few rooms. About 50 minutes left, I'd say.

20 minutes is kind of long, we don't know if anything is watching us or worse waiting for us. We can wait for 20, but Linpul and anybody else trained in stealth can probably scout ahead.

It's been a weird weekend for me, and going to be a long week. But I will have time during the evenings to make any posts.


GM Rosas fire ball is a V Touch as well, she got 9 on her roll, the Doctor got 8 on his.

Her roll was
Fire Bolt (Sp): 5/6 day 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 2 - 4 = 9 Range Touch attack FIRE DMG 1d6 ⇒ 2

the -4 is for sicked [water] and sicked [Fungus] and she still got 9.

So Doc got RTA 8 and she missed with a RTA 9 errr why???

I had taken the -4 off already when I did her To Hit roll to get to 9, how come Rosa missed??

Also I asked about saving throws? did we get one.
I don't made a GM making a roll for me, but I do like to know when one has been made if affects your PC.


Normal medium sized creatures have a touch defense of 10 (no dex). These were small creatures, so they have a touch defense higher than 10 (they also have some dex, even though they are blobs).

For Rosa I used 11 as your ranged touch, which still misses. The doctor I gave 12, negating the melee penalty, since Rosa moved.

Also I rolled your saving throws as soon as you came into the first cavern. They were fortitude saving throws, unfortunately I rolled a 1 for Rosa which makes 5, and a 5 for Rakdon which makes 7. The saves were Fort DC 10, which I didn't think was too hard.

If it's possible I'll try to let you guys roll your own saves.

Don't worry. I get most of it right. You should have seen what happened to green team, but that's a spoiler. So don't look yet.

We seem to be a bit more combat oriented than the other teams from what I could read (I read up through the robot fight in town on the other teams). We seem to clear out combats quicker with fewer wounds.

Sickened is a condition and conditions are there or not there, they do not stack. They are not specific modifiers. You can be both sickened and nauseated but not sickened twice.

Ok I can fix it, by changing Rosa, god, to Szuriel Favored Weapon greatsword.
The Cool thing is it fits Rosa better. One of the four horse men, The horse man Woman of war. Down side is she will lose Magic as a Domain, so we only have to retro that one, attack on the robot, we can say she just throw it and hit.

The whip then becomes the family Air-loom, as it all works again.

Oh, it's no biggie, I mean a whip is mainly a touch attack so at -4 to hit it's not so bad. Maybe even dip 1 fighter and use the bonus feat for proficiency. It's not bad as a prop weapon anyway. I don't have my Inner Sea gods on me but I think there are a few archdevils that use whips.

The various non deity specific faiths such as the Green Faith, Diabolism, Animism, Juju, etc don't have a particular weapon of choice. Check out the archives of Nethys and see if Szuriel has any subdomains that might suit her better. I love Rosa's concept but the whip thing was nagging at me since I love divine characters and the flavor they usually bring with them to the table. My society character is a former cultist of Aldinach the demon lord of the desert sun that wants to purge her of evil's embrace so he's a separatist with a terrain domain.


You don't need to be proficient to use a weapon. Maybe Rosa just likes whips.

I figured you were going to use the greatsword most of the time anyway.

No need to change, unless you're planning on using that whip efficiently.

Or, you can give up some benefit for whip proficiency.

It's not that important to go changing your background over.


Humm ok, I will have a think. -4 whip dos seem a simple way to go, she just has a thing for whips, but I did find a better god for her.
A devil who's into war. Moloch Humm, If I can keep magic Domain then no need to change much.

Going to mull this over, seems I may have a nice a nice why to go with her.

Separatist archetype gives you 1 domain of your choice, you only lose the deities favored weapon and the extra domain is advanced at cleric level -2. It's not a bad way to go.


Its ok she's fine now just -4 on the whip, I am thinking she may go diabolist if we get to higher levels :)

well guys the Blue team are upto 500 posts and GM Demonmoose is having lots of fun with what they are doing, mean wile we seem to be slowing down. Any one know why??


They make a lot of knowledge checks. They also had a discussion about sandwiches for several posts. Blue isn't that much farther, like 4 rooms or so.

People go at different paces. It seems that Linpul, Rakdon, Tarphesh and Lendaro are all a little busy at the moment. Or some people don't really post a lot.

We can have a discussion about restructuring, adjusting, adding more players or some leaving, speeding up or slowing down, etc., soon. Probably in a few days.

Send me some comments and suggestions for making this a more enjoyable play by post for you all, whether you think this is the standard pacing for a game or could be improved.


I think a level would help, not a lot Rosa could have done, Sick+sick+Blind. But I think we have lost some players.
Could we have a roll call.

It's partly due to us not having as many people posting as often. I understand that weekends happen but come on. Mid combat at least once per day or something.

in some games I just don't post much, except for the sake of posting. whenever there is a check or combat though I keep active and I try to roll all checks, unless they mean nothing to me. Like when there is a heal check to find out a death in game, I wonder how will this info help us? And then I don't bother to roll if it really doesn't give up us any hints as to what is coming.


Right now we have 4 players, we can carry on with 4 with out a Recrutment, but the posts have to come, 1 a day mine to keep momentum. I suggest if you can't post once a day let every one know now and we can go Recrutment again. To add say new 1 or 2 players

Radon, just posting a roll is ok, if you short on time, but if your doing it because you feel that's all you need to do then your missing out on fun. A dicription of action is always cool. Dos not have to be long, but it really adds to the game for others.

So we"er all looking at the crats.

Hey there! Hope everyone keeps at it. Somethign that might help is to have a 'poker' When combat comes up, just PM people so everyone knows that stuff is going on.

Sometimes people lose their 'dots' that let them know there has been an update, so checking in regularly is important

@ Rakdon: Wizards have cantrips, meaning when you cast a 0 level spell it does not consume the spell slot. Only one wizard archetype loses the cantrip ability and I think that's the Arcane Bomber. It is similar to my Orison ability and how my 0 level spells do not consume spell slots.
