"Kulgara, this is your weapon, and you are less of yourself without it, as I would be without mine." Muga taps the carefully wrapped weapon atop his back.

"My offer is simple, we fight at the time and place of your choosing, no interference. If your faith conquers mine, I have no quarrel with you seeking out your god."

" I offer to make sure both are at full fighting form and as you say, no interference. She will have not only her weapon but ofcourse Armor as well. The deal will be upheld to the winner. "

Kulgara grins.

"You are fools. Honorable fools. Tomorrow then at sunrise, just outside of town. I will slay you and leave this place."

You return Kulgara's weapon and armor. She remains within the cell, stroking the chainsaw's handle. Meyanda stares at her from another cell, silent.

Do you make any preparations before the next day?

Yvell keeps watch over them but thats about it, This is Muga's fight and thats all. I will be visiting Jorum kyte for his Reward and Selling loot however. But really until the fight Yvell is a guard... He also Detects evil on Meyanda to see if she still radiates such from Hellion.

"Faith makes fools of all of us." Muga answers, his own grin to match hers, and heads outside the town to wait.

Do you remember what the reward from Joram Kyte was? A staff or a wand or something? Yvell detects evil from Meyanda. You can sell most things for half price, timeworn objects are 10% i think. Torch has up to +3 magical items (probably).

Yvell brings Kulgara to the meeting place outside of town. She is wearing her armor and the chainsaw is silent in her hands.

The orc addresses Muga. "Anything you want to say before my blade rips you apart, human?"

So that means Hellion somehow still lives. And there was NOTHING we found out that could be keeping him around in the compound? It's likely outside of the book's area or maybe you have something planned. I think the reward was a rod or something.. not that we are particularly needing of one but it was mentioned. Im not sure timeworn is 10% I thought it was 50%.. so more like 25%

Yvell crosses his arms and watches with stern eyes, " The god's of battle will determine the outcome here. Neither side should underestimate the other. "

"Your blade is a better speaker, let it do the talking.." Muga simply lowered himself into the now practically predictable explosive blade draw stance.

I assume you are to both be 10 paces (5-10 squares) away from each other or are you right next to each other?

Kulgara rages. Her eyes turn blood red, and she pulls the trigger on her chainsaw. It growls with a machine voice, the smaller blades whirling along the large red blade.

She walks until she is thirty feet away from Muga.

Muga stands still, fingers tensed.

Eh, sure, yeah, let's do that too. Why not. :P

Kulgara thunders forward, feet slamming against the dry ground. As she runs, the chainsaw is loud and nearly deafening. When she gets close to Muga, she swings the chainsaw downward with all the force she can muster as Muga swings at her stomach.

Muga has the first strike.

Kulgara is using a charging, power attack while raging.

Power Chainsaw: 1d20 + 16 - 2 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (17) + 16 - 2 + 2 - 3 = 303d6 + 11 + 9 ⇒ (4, 6, 4) + 11 + 9 = 34

As Kulgara swings her chainsaw downward, Muga slashes at the charging orc with his large blade. The red blade cuts into Muga's chest, spinning blades digging deeper.

Muga makes another cut, hacking through the orc's arm, then with a final blow, slices through Kulgara's neck.

Kulgara's eyes stare upward, the redness disappearing. The body slumps to the ground, and as soon as the chainsaw strikes the earth it stops its cacophonous roar.

Battle is over.

Yvell shakes his head, " There.. are you satisfied? " His look nothing more than disappointment in the bout, he goes to check the life signs of both combatants.

"Heh... Her blade had spirit and fury... But no grace or intellect. Muga sheaths his blade.

"A hunger such as mine is never satisfied. Only directed, Yvell." Muga nods.

Muga glanced at what he was sure was a corpse. "She was determined to carve her own path. I do not think a quiet imprisonment suited her."

Small note the confirm was one less but I doubt her AC was higher than 19 base

Yvell smirked, " You speak words now but we both know none of that was true, you were simply lucky and had time to recover and know her strength beforehand. I had not planned on either Meyanda or Kulgara being left here regardless of this match. Your blade and hers were no different. "

"... You presume a lot about others always knowing you're right. You view your path as so irrevocably and obviously just that everyone else must be so stupid or stubborn not to follow." There was no humor in Muga's tone.

Yvell blinked once, " You are not the first to be incorrect on that assumption, or the last. My life and path are two parts. Experience and Faith. I speak what I know of, nothing more. If you feel stupid or assume those stubborn not to follow that is your own mindset. I will only force that which is needed to succeed at the goal and try all others. If I were fervently against your duel for example I would have tried to stop it. Your comment is standard for those who view paladins a certain way but no.. I think a bit more. I am saying to recognize the similarities and differences between yourself and your opponent. "

He closes Kulgara's eyes with a hand.

"You say you speak what you know; did you assume I did otherwise? Because that is what your words before implied."

"As for me feeling stupid, I'd advise you attempt to learn the common tongue more adeptly, so that you are not outdone in it by foreigners." Muga leaves the scene, waving a hand as humor returns to his tone at this last paragraph.

Yvell sighed deeply and went about burial procedures for the Orcess as was fitting for her regardless. Stripping the body with care as when she was alive. " We all have strong desires, some simply overcome others in this world. "

A grave built Yvell gave a frustrated smirk, " He didnt even wait to be healed.. what arrogance. "

Phylla pats Yvell with a tendril. She sends to him, "Do not worry, Yvell-servant. I agree that all of you creatures are stupid and arrogant. It is only natural."

When he finishes burying Kulgara, Phylla messages, "You and Muga-servant are very much alike. Come, let us invite him to drink some of that poison water you meat creatures are so fond of imbibing." The cerebric fungus trudges away back to town.

Yvell chuckles to himself lifting the weaponry over his shoulder. " For once you are quite right Phylla, the similarities can be shocking. " He trudges back to town as well his mind full of future worries, the present set forth by their actions.

Anything else you would like to do before moving on to the next book? Checked the selling again for tech stuff. It is 25%. I thought I saw 10% somewhere, I know it is 1% if there are no charges.

How much does Soothe sell for?

The people of Torch will buy it off you for 100 gp/jar or vial. It does have healing properties.

Release Meyanda perhaps speak once more to her, get the whatever reward from Kyte, Sell and divy loot, re-equip.. Yvell plans on heading back to Scrapwall and establishing as solid foothead there. thats about it.

After Kulgara goes down Valtyra will rush over to Muga casting a spell.

"Men always need to be so proud and arrogant. What would have happened to Mitsu if you had lost? You need to think about that too." She sighs [b]"I'm glad your ok but next time im casting a spell to help kep you alive weather you want it or not."[b] She says looking very relieved.

"My sword alone would be enough to feed him till he was a grown man. And Torch is a safe place. I don't need to fear death any more than my love of life merits."

Probably start the next book July 20th, unless there are no more submissions. Guessing Muga left Kulgara's equipment on the ground. Does Yvell bury it or take it? Also, let's do Meyanda's release scene next.

In the morning, Yvell takes Meyanda from her cell and releases her at the edge of town.

"Are you sure about this, Yvell? Isn't this creature an enemy?" Phylla sends to everyone.

July the 20th sounds fine, likely that way we have everything that is needed to be known, changed around, or adapted for the party to be done. As well as anything you might have going on GM. Yvell had mentioned looting her he just made sure she was clothed and buried respectably.

Yvell looks to Phylla and the Rest then back to Meyanda. " She can remain an enemy if she wants or seek a different route. We have tried to convince her with logic, faith, understanding and mercy but beyond that she has stayed relatively docile and orderly. She was held because of the act of her 'God'. It has been long enough for the act and the main source has been punished. There is no point in keeping her here. Meyanda.. I simply wish you the best and to avoid the Technic league if you can, they value your kind in the most nefarious of ways. "

" If we meet again it may be as enemies again.. though I hope it not to be. Hellion left a message of another, who is far worse... Regardless I plan on pursuing whatever that may be. "

Meyanda begins walking northeast away from Torch. She turns back and looks at Yvell, opens her mouth to say something, then thinks better of it. Her eyes are cold, but more unfeeling. They are not filled with malice.

Doing the loot list Im already counting that.. the gold amount was different. Also we didnt get loot for 12 orcs, whatever that tattered guy was and 4 Smilers.. but I assume its basically what Muga had gotten that one time we split.

Yvell looks to Meyanda with what you assume is Yvell's softest stern face. Watching her hesitate intrigued him. He spoke first, " Is there something you would like to say Meyanda? I have told you, as of right now we are not enemies. If you wish to stay, you can stay.. and have some place to call home. Or if you have any advice I would also appreciate it. Regardless you are a free woman, you can freely choose what you wish. I do not value your existence or faith as an object, but as a person. Hellion might have been fighting a Greater Evil.. but his methods did not value you or any of us. We will stop that evil as well. "

Not trying to persuade her more giving her a genuine feeling

Yvell gave her a basic set or armor and some gold, food disks from his own share when he figures that out. And basic weapons.. the original gear she had was gone.

Meyanda laughs for a moment, then her features become neutral. She shakes her head and continues to walk away. It seems like she doesn't care for your kindness, or doesn't believe your ability to stop this evil.

Yvell waves her goodbye but doesnt stop her. he could see nothing to stop her and his words seemed not convince her otherwise.

That was quick, she didnt even try too hard. I would have liked to interact with he more but she isnt willing Oh well. On to figuring out Loot and getting whatever rod Jorum was talking about?

"Don't worry, Yvell, I believe in you." Muga puts a hand on Yvell's shoulder.

Lawl

Yvell doesnt change his expression or position and continues to stare forward. " Some things cannot be changed or change with time. I will note... she laughed.. I believe that is uncommon with Androids. There is hope. " He said a-matter-of-factly.

" Muga, stop fooling around. "

"No, I'm being serious. You have the lady who makes everyone around her immortal in your pocket. I'm pretty sure we can take anything with her on the team."

Yvell's expression breaks swiftly. " .... What do you mean Muga? Are you trying to infer something more than what exists? If you are speaking of Valtyra, she is her own identity. I.. only recently knew of her feelings. In no way is she 'in my pocket' nor does she make us...immortal. She assists us in our pursuits but it isnt something to get reckless with. "

"Uh? Does the term 'pocket' mean more than I expected? I considered saying 'bed' but then decided I liked being alive."

Yvell goes wide-eyed and coughed, " *cough* Yes Muga those are very distinct things! You assume too much. She hasnt forgiven me quite yet. And there is courtship that must be done if this is.. an event. "

"It will be and you both know it. Might as well start upgrading your house and furniture."

Beat.

"You do have a house right? It's pretty non romantic to invite a gal back to your friend's house."

Yvell's face slowly starts to normalize as he notices what Muga seemed to be getting at. He sighed.

" I have a barracks but no personal abode I would go back to. It would be inconvenient to have one when my lifestyle requires fits of travel. Such things shouldnt be the topic at this moment regardless. There is also Phylla, this unknown Evil, Scrapwall and a plethora of other things to think on. "

"Yikes. Well. Huh. Guess you're going to hope that Valtyra's ability to make everyone aaaaalmost immortal works on both of you for however long the crisis works."

" I have abilities of my own to supplement hers, yes. In general I will be making sure we move forward. Muga, while we are at it, what of you and your Ward? How about your own life, it seems you similar issues. "

"Pssh, simple. Sell my sword when I die and give the money to him. He can take care of himself, as long as Torch is safe. I don't plan on dying, but I have no need to shrink from valor.... Or fun."
