Sure, it would be great, Kharamell.
We aware thought, as in Torch underground complex we found a lot of hostile robots, and at least one of them working with the agent they sent.


Kharamell fiddles with the access card machine to try to open the door. The color changes from green to gray. The door remains closed and locked.

Seeing it turn gray, Kharamell tries the gray access card. If that doesn't work he tries again to unlock the door.

The door unlocks.

The wall of this chamber are obscured by banks of mechanical devices, flashing lights, and panels displaying messages in an alien script, images, and mysterious markings that shift and change with astonishing speed. The air is warm and smells slightly metallic, while a high-pitched drone emanates from all corners of the room.

Čemifobbar carefully looks into the room to see if there's anything moving before going in.

"I don't really trust any rooms here."


Cemifobbar doesn't see anything of value or interest to him inside the room. There are a lot of flashing lights, control panels and machines, but he has no idea what any of it does.

"If it is safe, I would like to study the room." Kharamell goes into the room (assuming it is 'safe'), holsters his gun, and begins to examine it.

"Just stay alert, Kharamell. These places are riddled with hidden threats."
Nyssa checks the room ever herself then studies the strange machinery on her own.

Kharamell is not quite sure what everything is. His best guess is that it is some kind of control room.

Nyssa seems something moving in the corner of the room. Suddenly, robotic beetles start to skitter towards the party.

Changing doors, key card door is west, other doors are east.

As soon as she sees the metalic beetles, Nyssa calls out a warning.

Tess starts walking over to help Kharamell examine the machines when it's suddenly attack of the bugs! She quickly fires off two arrows into them.

Tessara's first arrow strikes the beetle-thing but can't scratch its armor. The other shot also strikes the creature, making a small scratch on its tiny body.

Alexis believes this room allows someone or something to control the monitors, lights and other functions of the headquarters. She has a rudimentary understanding of what switches, levers and buttons do what.

The beetles take to the air, flying straight for Nyssa and Tessara. They "swarm" them, single eye becoming a red light that tries to burn through the adventurers.

Čemifobbar (who does not bloodrage) swings at the the red "beetle" with Gunshy (the club), figuring that these things are more likely to be damaged by bludgeoning weapons. Using Power Attack and will try cleaving into another one (GM's choice, since they're all together)

Nyssa sways slightly to the side avoiding the first ray attack, but cannot dodge the second. However, the beam is too weak to harm her elemental skin. (Energy resist 5)

Nyssa notes how little effect Tessara's powerful bow attack has. "We really need to get our hands on some adamantine."

Nyssa lets her dagger fall as she draws her sword, studies the target, (blue) then maneuvers for position even as she attacks.

Cem crushes the first beetle with Gunshy. Its metal body is caked with a black ichor and small sparks fizzle from exposed circuitry. The dhampir's
attack misses the second nimble construct.

Kharamell blasts the (green) robot with the electrical pistol. The beetle halts for a moment, then continues to move.

Nyssa, seeing that the (blue) beetle has fallen, studies and slashes at the (yellow) beetle.

Valt studies the mechanical bugs in search of any weak point, while commanding Iophiel to engage the nearest of them.

Tessara sees that they are plated in hard, heavy metal, which reduces all damage (including magic) by a small amount. She and Valt also recognize that they are robots, which tend to have weaknesses against electricity and critical blows.

Tessara also has an action.


Iophiel enters the crowded room, and slams the (red) beetle on top of Tessara with her greatsword.

Kraig enters the room, "Beetle-bots? What are they gonna think of next human-bots...Oh." The bearded brawler glances at Kharamell. "As long as they don't make a metal version of me, I'm good."

He punches at the one near the entrance (yellow). His fist collides with the insect but does no damage.

Tess sighs. "Use electricity if you have it!"

It is called hardness (for creatures). It is what makes robots so powerful, other than their laser weaponry.

Tessara takes a step back from the beetle harassing her, and fires two shots. The first strikes the creature, arrow shattering from the impact. The other arrow stabs in front of the robot's face, into the ground. The beetle-bot's eye laser burns through the wooden shaft.

Okay, passing Alexis.

The two beetles shift into Nyssa and Tessara's spaces, slashing at them with their tiny claws and trying to burn them with their eyes. Nyssa is unaffected by the tiny beetle, but Tessara is not so lucky. The beetle makes two deep scratches into her leg and then sends a lance of fire to the same spot.

Tessara is using a bow, so no opp attack. Nyssa can make an opp. attack.

Čemifobbar moves in and tries cleaving through the remaining metal beetles, without bloodrage again. GM's choice as which get hit in what order; since he wants to help Tess doesn't care beetle is which is which.

Nyssa takes advantage of the opening provided when the beetles move, slashing with her trusty blade.

You could take 20. It would just mean you are staying there for minutes or maybe even an hour.

Valt examines the machinery and figures out which controls toggle the lights and monitors. There is even a switch labeled excavator power.

After retrieving her dagger, Nyssa moves over to the next door. Sword in hand, she triggers the panel that causes the door to slide open, and peers inside.

It looks like a guard post. There are some slits in the wall for arrows or spying, and some dirty cots on the eastern wall. Nyssa does not find anyone here, however.

"Might as well finish exploring this level, don't you think?" Nyssa heads around the corner of the passageway to the closed door.

What time is it getting to be? Nyssa is still kind of low on Hp. A nights rest would do her good.

"Yes. We should be thorough. I suggest the door."


Not completely sure when you entered. I think you started in the morning, so it should be lunch?

Opening the door you see:

The air of this large room is warm and stuff, and buzzes with energy. Countless blinking lights, wriggling shapes, and unusual strings of writing scroll and wriggle across glass panels mounted on the walls, amid a dizzying array of buttons, switches, dials, wheels, levers, and other controls, the function of which one can only guess. Six immense pillars lined with glowing panels support the ceiling eleven feet above, and a circular platform to the east sits under a slowly rotating, semitransparent image of a curious contraption with long arms, one of which ends in what appears to be an immense, slowly spinning disk. Beyond this, two windows look out over a metal platform, which in turn looks out over an immense damp lit by brilliant beams of light emanating from unseen sources below and above.

Rubble clutters the room’s floor here and there, as if pieces of furniture were once affixed to the ground but had long since been torn free, while to the northeast, the room’s walls have buckled downward in to a crumbled mass of devastation.

A half dozen orcs and a strange pale creature in rotten robes stares at you. One of the orcs roars, and in the next room you can hear the revving of some kind of reverberating noise.
