The party heads back up through the arena and to Dinvaya's Clockwork Chapel. There are a few people still in the stands, watching as you leave. A ratfolk shouts, "Hey, don't run away. Keep fighting!" His companions quickly shut him up.

Dinvaya greets you with a look and continues improving one of her golems.

Of course, it is only about lunch time. But you can rest for eight hours and return, or just take the rest of the day and night off, maybe preparing a bit more.

I'll definitely need to take the day off. Down to one HP, 4 bloodrage rounds left for the day, and both spell slots used up. What I will do, is used up my last 4 rage rounds to get back 4 HP of fast heal. It's not much, but it's something!

GM, I used my knowledge skills on Čemifobbar, so I didn’t kill him by accident trying to heal his wounds with a cure moderate wounds. I use Sift at the site of our last battle, to find any hidden items besides the obvious ones on the corpses.

After the conversation with Bron, Nyssa heads over to the fallen orc. She checks to see if the warrior is fully dead.

I came here to stop the Technic League and their robots. Ever since my awakening I have been getting ready for this. Dinvaya Lanalei advised me to seek you out. So if everyone feels like you do Nyssa, I would be honored to help you here in Scrapwell.


Nyssa sees the orc is dead.

As Nyssa examines the chain blade, she accidentally turns it on and nearly cuts her foot off. She moves her foot away at the last moment, and turns the machine off, then glances to see if anyone saw her.

In the morning you head back to where you were. The corpses of the ettin and orcs are still in the room.

Dinvaya offers the standard rate for casting inflict spells on Cemifobbar, 60 gp for Inflict Moderate Wounds, and 150 gp for Inflict Serious Wounds.

I think those are the correct amounts.

Speed you up a bit.

The northern rooms are filled with spoiled supplies, food and water that might have been edible a few months ago. The same is true of the southern rooms (s5).

Moving west you see a cavern that leads to a 20 foot drop (northwest) and seems to lead back to the southwest and the green liquid pit.

(S6) The eastern half of this room appears to be some sort of workshop, with all manner of metal working tools hanging from the walls over junk-strewn tables. To the west, a sagging cot sits against a partially crumpled metal wall next to a two-foot-tall metal cabinet. Dozens of empty tubes from which strange fluid drips lie in a heap atop the chest. What looks like a partially completed and crudely constructed mechanical marionette machine slumps against a metal cage-like frame at the foot of the cot.

Finally, to the east where Bron came from you see a large "balcony" overlooking a larger cavern filled with all sorts of mechanical objects. It is a twenty foot drop there as well.

The S5 to the northeast, is the room Bron was held captive and escaped from.

Nyssa digs through the acquired loot till she finds a potion of cure light wounds. She drinks this as well.

Seeing Čemifobbar walk through the door in the east Bron decides to follow him. Wait up Čemifobbar, it’s safer to check together.

"Quite right, Bron. This should be the room that Ettin and the Orcs we killed here had come out of. There might be something interesting inside."


Cemifobbar goes West to the cavern that overlooks a lower cavern and the southern pathway. Peering down into the northern region, he can see several corpses with massive wounds and lacerations in the lower elevation.

The cabinet within the room (s6) is locked and has a keycard access machine with a green color. On top of the cot are 12 gray tubes (like toothpaste) and two vials of a strange bluish liquid.

The marionette is a very crude construct unlikely to be functional with any level of work. Someone with no engineering ability likely tried to create it.

Cemifobbar notices that the wounds are in seemingly random places, not necessarily ones from a battle. Most of them are savaged beyond mortal wounds as well. It is more likely to him that they were sacrificed.
