Welcome to the Dark Heresy: Oremor Affliction Campaign! This thread will serve as the out of character posting for present and future players for the duration of the campaign.
Please use this posting to discuss Dark Heresy rules, character advancement/concepting, and other assorted Blather.
Below are listed the GM's formatting preferences for posting on the IC thread:
1. Please post all OOC information, such as public asides to the GM, clarifications on game rules and actions, and results of die rolls in OOC tags. Involved discussion of character advancement, non-game associated dialogue, and lengthy rules discussion should be instead posted to this, the OOC thread.
2. Please post descriptions of character actions in standard text.
3. Please post character dialogue inside quotation marks.
4. Spoilers/private asides for the GM or other players should be posted in spoiler tags as needed.
5. We will be using Invisible Castle for all die rolling. Please use your character's first name as the "Character" name when rolling. Rolls, as noted above, should be posted into OOC tags.
6. If you would prefer not to perform the BBCode gymnastics needed to link from Invisible Castle, the GM will gladly roll for you and post the results.
There are only two rules for this campaign:
1. Have fun!
2. Hiatus Rules. If you are going on a hiatus of three days or less, please post this information to this OOC thread. I will gladly 'ghost' your character for a short period of time, as the storyline allows, remarking on his actions as needed to continue in-game action for the other players of the campaign. If you believe you will be unable to post for an extended period of time, and would like to remain in the game, please post this information to this OOC thread. If possible within the storyline, I will provide a reasonable reason for the absence of your character. Or, if needed, control your character during the events to come until such a time as you can post again. Finally, if you wish to withdraw from the game for any reason, please post to this OOC thread so that your character can be retired, more than likely in a suitably gruesome 40K-esque bloodbath in the next scene, so that another person can assume your slot in the game. Withdrawing will not hurt my feelings, we just want as committed and interested a group of acolytes as we can muster!

I have a Question for you Rookseye, Uriah being a void-born psyker and with his background, is he more sensitive to entering and leaving the Warp?
I would say yes, anyone who lives most of their life riding the currents of the immaterium would have something of a "gut-sense" regarding transiting the Warp.

I have never used IC to roll the dice, so how do link up to and use it in the pbp.
1d100=25
I made it by 20
I rolled by IC, but I was not sure how link it up
It is fairly easy to link. On the Invisible Castle page where you get your result, copy the text next to the light blue word "Link" into the following BBCode tag, like this without asterisks:
[*url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2275988/]Your text describing the result here, in this case, "Result = 50"[*/url]
The above roll would thus look like this:
Please feel free to practice in this thread if you want.

Sorry for the delay in posting tonight, unexpected overtime at the office.
Val/Ishmael: The IC board is over this way: Oremor Affliction IC
Rad/Johnnie: Lorm is correct, you may be able to roll an additional damage die for rolling a ten, make another BS test, and if successful, roll damage again. You repeat this process for each success and 10 you roll. This is known as Righteous Fury in Dark Heresy nomenclature.

One correction Rookseye, if you make the confirmation roll for Rightous Fury, you can keep rolling damage as long as you roll a 10. You do not have to keep rolling to hit.(DH pg 195)
Lorm is correct. Following the second 'confirmation' roll, each time you roll maximum damage (5 on d5 or 10 on d10) you may immediately roll damage again until you do not roll max damage.

Okay was checking out the FFG site. They have the Radicals Handbook set to be released sometime in Nov. So get your order in early.
I also picked up a Rogue Traders book. Very well written.
On a side note. Does anyone know if the guy playing Albrek is still in the game?
Also Rad,
How is clean up going on your end? Haven't seen anything in the papers, or the news. You doing okay?

Yeah, I would like to see a post from Albrek soon, he seemed to be pretty interested in the game. If not, I'll just move on and ghost him until something else is figured out.
If he is indeed out, I'll post again on the recruiting thread. If any of you have someone who would like to assume the character, that would be fine too. Worst case scenario he will be NPC'ed until a solution can be found.
Sorry to hear things are still so lousy, Rad. Like I said before, though, I might be able to help with a temporary solution. Just email me.
Also, once the Radical's Handbook is released, it will be available for character options. I plan on getting my hands on a copy as well.

Rad,
I hope the clean up will go quickly, and your life will return to normal soon. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you.
Rook,
Sounds good with the Radicals Handbook. From the previews it looks like its going to be a great expansion. Hopefully we will see a return of Albrek. If not I will keep an eye out for another player.
I will wait til the next round before posting my next action. Since Rad still has a half action to use.

Ishmael might be all in religious fervour and bravery; but Val is totally freaking out, hehe, wishing he had more armor; cover; a grenade; hehe, YIKES! If they try to throw another one, guess I am gonna try my Hank Aaron impression, or with a hammer; would that be more like crockette?

Thanks, Lorm. One of the best parts about PbP games is that you get to consider the action and descriptions a little bit more than you would around the table before relating things to the players. In a written medium you can generate a narrative that can be more evocative, and it has the added bonus of allowing a person to reference back to what has gone before if they don't recall a particular detail.
As handy as Invisible Castle is, I do miss the rattle of dice on the table, though!
