The two of you make your way outside where a Gondalier is waiting for you having been procured by a servant. As you make you way to the Way of Kings Inn you see that the streets are more crowded than they have been in several weeks. There is a pulse of the canaille that is unmistakable, fear.
Paying it little mind as you are both beyond such concerns now you arrive by way of gondola at the Way of Kings. Saint Mark's Square is also a hotbed of activity. Mortals are gathered arguing with one another forcing you to push through the throngs to reach the Inn!
It seems this business with the Pope is leading to a great deal of anxiety. The Inn security is able to keep the front of the Inn clear enough to enter and exit. Once you step into the lobby you both see Lord Andrew by the bar speaking with a few men.

You retain your wits as does Adria. Soon enough you arrive at the Palazzo Abadessa. As you enter it immediately strikes you that the patrons here are all acting quite bizarre as if they are all drugged. With the exception of the barkeep, the rest of the people either lounge around or are moving in a fugue like state.
Seated in the front room is a man who has a stern look and skin that looks as hard as marble next to another who appears of eastern stock. Across from them are Yenshun and Erik. All turn as you two enter, "Welcome". States your Sire rising to greet you.
As Onfroi wants to keep up appearances he will first get his point back of vitae from one of the herd here in nosferatu hq and then change to look like yet another random soldier from his long ago past and redrink his fill and head to conclave.

The Streets of Venice -
You head out of the Inn and into the brisk March night. The mortals are out tonight. The talk of war and trouble with the Pope filters to your ears, the city is tense, as tense as any city on the brink of war you have ever been in.
You wonder if the Prince has things in hand or if the herd will cause problems for those who make their way to Conclave each evening. Here though strangers are left alone while those familiar and bitter towards one another seem to the accosted and the accostors.
You find a Gondola, one used most frequently by those who visit the Conclave and ask for a ride. The man frowns but grants you passage, it seems as if they sense that odd things happen at this place and are starting to not like this business. You remember Petradon saying that one of the Elders has been wiping memories, perhaps this one did not take?
The man sighs and speaks, "Tell me Master Vampire, when you were grated eternal life, did you have to wait long to get what you were promised?" The man has speaks Italian with a French accent.

I waited and was rewarded for my wait. It is best you not ask questions like this as some will find it... bothersome at best. I would hate to see a loyal servant such as yourself not survive the wait as I did. Onfroi finds himself answering honestly to the fellow looking back at him and turning so as to be able to see him.

The streets are as bustling as you have ever seen them. Though perhaps not for the good. Shouts of anger back and forth between groups ring through the night air. It seems that the problems that the Doge faces have gotten worse and not better since you crossed over.
You make your way to the Inn. Which seems largely inactive on the business front. In fact the sign out front reads "Closed!"
"Right. So what's next?"

Andrew removes his boots and starts slamming them into the floor to get the dirt off of them and then places them to the side, they appear wet though it did not rain this evening.
"Aye, I ken recall a number of things from tha' night. I was traveling there wit' a group o' warrior holy men. They n' I were convinced tha' evil spirits was behind tha' death o' a women who I seen ere beheaded a few days earlier in tha' city.
Tha' coincidin' wit' a spirit I seen at tha' Giovanni Manse convinced me tha' somethin' strange was goin' on an with the Lord as my witness I know I had ta do somethin' about it. O' course none o' us expected you n' yers ta' be there much less tha' dead ta' rise amongst us!
We fought them only losin' one o' err own. Then that damn Monk got away! This was all o' the evidence me an these holy wise men need ta' know ta' realize that tha' city was under attack from tha' forces o darkness.
O course, now I am in league, well perhaps not in league wit' but transformed inta' a bein' tha' could go so very wrong if'n I do'n keep ma wits 'bout me. The devil is in me as it in you all so to say an we gotta keep a vigilant watch o'er err less pure natures.
I was originally brought in by a friend o' me brothers who was a Teplar, ya' know him as my Sire. Then I only knew him as Brian the Templar. The Gondolier uses his pole to slow down to a stop and then begins to bring the Gondola back to the dock.

You step on to the Gondola together and Xing gives directions to him. Soon enough you find yourselves in the part of the city that is seedy, an element that Vitaliano is well familiar with.
A man steps out from an alley and flags your group down, "Dr? I had been looking for you, is everything alright?"

He shrugs, "The man is no normal man ta be sure. He fought like five men. I'd wager that he does more'n hunt Cainites if ya' take my meanin'. I put it all tagether after I turned o' course. Our blood has powerful effect on Mortals, an he was just too fast an too strong fer a normal man.
I'm afraid ah' don't recall tha' name o' Beshter eer being' mentioned by my Sire. Any idea what Clan this Beshetr is from? Do we know whether this Beshter is a resident or a traveler? How 'bout whether he's in attendance at tha' Conclave?"
