The languages you have picked are fine. I don't want to get too deep into different languages as there are different dialects in different areas so the facts can be overly complex.
I still have not finished reviewing the profile I will probably do so on Sunday morning. Send me that background when you have a chance as I want to see where you take it and that will be important for the start of gameplay.
Michele send me a quick background synopsis on at least your immediate family so I have that to work with. Confuscious same thing for you.
Now that my sunday morning has freed up I will have most if not all of your prologue's ready to go and up on the gameplay thread. Whatever I can't get to by 10:30 I will get to later that evening.
Monkeygod if you are not ready for Sunday I will start the thread anyway as you will still have time to finish while the other characters prologues are resolving themselves.
I will also be posting spoilers for multiple people. For example Lorenzo Capelli will know Michele so I will post something for both of you to read which will confirm the link between your characters.
Thanks.

Since we are in prologues I will post the rule changes over the next week or so. As there will not be many dice rolling situations this early on.
One rule though I do want to note is that we will be using the distinction between Bashing and Lethal damage. Humans should avoid Lethal damage if possible. Swords count as lethal damage for these purposes. I will modify these rules slightly though.

Storyteller Shadow |

You mean combo disciplines? They are all over the place check the net for a compilation. All choices of course need to he approved by me.

Monkeygod |

While there is almost definitely some sort of chart or the like online, it's best to just ask, as often the ability is different given the situation.
Also,
I am re-reading up on what I need for my character, and will hopefully post the build at the least tomorrow.

Storyteller Shadow |

Hi Monkeygod, not a problem. Five out of seven of you are newbs so it will take some time for them to settle in and post on the regulat although Xing Shi and the Twins seem to have taken off pretty well already.
It will probably be at least a week or two of Prologues until you all manage to meet up and full gameplay begins.

Storyteller Shadow |

I don't forsee having the time to post detailed rules change here till at least April 15 (Age of Worms needs prep time). After April 15 I should free up and then I will do so, until then I will address rule changes on a case by case basis.
So far you have all been getting the hang of posting pretty well. Once you have it down it will be easy and of course as most of you well know the plots will be up to my usual standards, in fact I think this PBP may be better than the table top I ran a few years ago as we will have more time for character development.

Storyteller Shadow |

The Volkov's & Michael Santos Prologue should be done by tomorrow or at least I WANT it to be done by tomorrow. Sunday I will post the Prologues for the next day as a number of you have things to do.
Monkeygod is not ready yet but as the group is not together yet it does not matter all that much.
It will probably take a few weeks of prologue time to get you all near one another at the same time. Then after that we will do full blown game play without spoilers.
FYI for Talomyr and Monkeygod - my campaigsn are generally very long. My first Vampire campaign was 5 1/2 years, my last D&D campaign was 7 1/2, and my current D&D campaign is on year 3 with at least one more year to go. That being said this one will probably last even longer for a few reasons: (1) PBP moves slow and (2) I want to reach the year 2000 and we are in 1309 now so its gonna be a while.
I guess my point is I am not going anywhere. I know that sometimes PBP's burn out and fade away but this one will not if the players do not. I have been gaming with the guys in this group anywhere from 10-25 years so they know what I mean.

Everyone has earned one more xp despite my slow progress lately, that is a total of 4 currently. As you can see the human prolonged will go on fir some time I am rather enjoying them!

Storyteller Shadow |

Andrew do you have any family alive in Scotland? There is one family member I want to create for you. Let me know about the rest.
Michael Santo - we need to flesh out your wife and kids. Names ages etc. We also need to get a handle on employees. We know that Maurizio does a day shift and Hans is dead. How mant gondola's do you want? (Within reason). They probably operate day and night so you will need tow to three employees per gondola. What is the name of your business again?
Gunther - besides Cosimo and Cyrano we need to know what other employees you have, obviously some serving wenches and some Inn employees as well.
Some of you still have Allies and Retainers which have not been assigned. I have not forgotten I just prefer to keep them open until the story calls for them to make their appearance.
I hope you are all enjoying the game so far...

How many more employees are you willing to allow me?
Also, will I be able to spend any of my earned XP to raise my Resources rating?
Storyteller Shadow |

Enough employees to reasonably run the, place, somewhere between 5 and 15 makes sense.
No background can be increased with xp at this time.

Alright. So let's just make it an even 10 employees then? We can say that there's 4 men (to act as barkeeps, clerks, maintenance, and all-around muscle for whatever needs to be loaded/unloaded and so on)... and 6 women (to act as wenches and housekeeping of the rooms at the inn).

Storyteller Shadow |

OK Thesing, that makes sense.
Yes there is one more in the entourage but he is not much for talking Andrew. I will create all of their background information and relay what you know about them as soon as I can get to it.

Ok, sounds good.
As for how much Gunther offers to Rafael as his daughter's dowry, I would have to say it would be a sizeable amount that, by his standards, looks impressive but will not jeopardize his income to provide for his family, especially since it is only half of what has been given to him thus far.
Storyteller Shadow |

OK, post you reply as you see fit then. I may do some exchange rate for Resources from DA to modern equivalents as the issue seems to be coming up with a number of you.

Everyone had earned 2 more XP. That is 2 for Andrew and 6 for everyone else. (Though I believe the Volkov's have spent some of their XP).

1 more XP for each player. Lou remember to reflect the XP spent by Katriana in your profile.

4 for Andrew and 8 for the rest of you. Lou spent 6 I believe already, no one else has spent any.

Storyteller Shadow |

Are all profiles updated?
Next day posting are now up!
If you wish to discuss any plot points via PM feel free as I know more and more data is being added with each passing day in game.
Soon the bulk of you will be together and the Prologues will be over.

Experience Points
I have received a few questions regarding spending XP. You may freely spend XP earned as you like, the costs are not lower or higher than they will be once your characters are embraced. Of course these XP cannot be used on Disciplines (assuming you have access to any at the moment) or Background points.
The XP pool is of course separate from the Freebie Point pools you still have available which you will be able to dip into once you are embraced.
Prologue Timing
I know it may be hard to believe but the prologue is almost over!
However, if your character wants to do something you don't want anyone else to see you may still post in a spoiler tag or PM me directly.
At this point at least every character has met one other character in game, prologues will end when the mysterious Michele Querini returns from well wherever he went to....
