Calin also steps into the room and looks to the north.
There doesn't appear to be a wall on part of the north section, at least from what the map shows.

Sorry long work day. Am I correct that there is nothing else to be found in this room?
Dwalindor the Pahmet

"Some rope here. Maybe a well or pit
?"
Dwalindor will look around.
as a dwarf he can detect hidden stonework within 10'.
Perc : 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 +2 vs stone
Rameth the Delver
Rameth sets his ion torch about him, then he lights several torches and tosses them about the room to light it up
4 torches DM?
DMummy
Rameth, as you open the door you find a short stone hallway that has a door to the north which ends in a large room. Four stone wells fill much of this otherwise unremarkable room. Disassembled mechanical remains lie scattered around plumbing connections in the southeast corner.
Dwalindor, there are four stone wells in the room (the circular parts) - as you look at the well in the southeast and Calin drops a pebble with the light spell into that well you see a Garundi man bound and gagged struggling at the well's bottom - the well is 30 feet deep.
Dwalindor the Pahmet

"Hey, there is some guy down there . "
He grabs the rope and looks for a place to tie it off and climb down.
Dwalindor the Pahmet

Dwalindor will climb down.
"hold on there,buddy ."
Climb: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
"Angel Eyes" Albus
Two things I think its worth to mentioning. A caster can only have one light spell active at any giving time, so if the same person cast it in two stones when he cast it at the second stone the first one goes out.
Also me and Dwalindor have darkvision 60ft.
Albus checks the other wells to see if they also have prisioners inside. So, do you guys suppose this place is a makeshift prison? Why would someone need one...kidnapping rig?
DMummy
Albus - that's a good point for looking into the wells, but I wanted you guys to make a positive decision to look into them - with darkvision you'd see the room but not into the wells - absent the light spells or torches.
Good point about the multiple light pebbles, although I sort of assumed Calin was casting them on a pebble, dropping it, casting it on another pebble, dropping that pebble and so on?
Dwalindor easily scrambles down the well and (I assume) ungags the poor man at the bottom of the well.
The Garundi man's voice cracks as if he's been without water for a while.
Thank you, very much. My name is Ptemnib, I don't suppose it's too much to hope that the Grand Mausoleum sent you?
He pauses for a moment to collect himself.
We must hurry, we don't have much time before the bastard realizes you all are not merely his men returning from a patrol. Please untie me.
Calin Tinderfoot
Thanks Albus, I don't play magic users very often. In this instance it isn't an issue as I can check the other one at a time once we get this guy out. I've got the feeling that they're going to be empty.
Dwalindor the Pahmet

Dwalindor will untie the man.
"Aye. We are here to help. ." he calls up
"Help me get him topside up there ."
Once up, he will climb back
Climb : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Rameth the Delver
Rameth waits till Dwalindor gets him back to the top.
I assume you are the man the strange little bird told us to come find.
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
"That was quick work for them to nab our friend and get him into the well. Makes me think the two groups were somehow connected or working together at least"
Rameth the Delver
Rameth swears loudly
I am getting tired of this. I'm already in a bad mood. You don't want it to be worse!
DMummy
He looks a bit startled at your fury.
Yes, I was at the Canny Jackal - I have been investigating the Silver Chain's activities including grave robbing and smuggling of various artifacts in the city. When the zombies attacked I had to follow Silver Chain's representative, he seemed to know something about the attack and the adventurers had the situation in hand.

Dwalindor the Pahmet

Once Dwalindor unties the man.
"Who are you working for,Ptemnib? You say you were investigating....
were you alone or do you have others working with you?
Do you expect more of the silver-chain gang to return here?"
DMummy
Rameth, he appears to be telling the truth.
I'm a cleric with the Grand Mausoleum and I was working with my friend Nosoi, who found you apparently. And I would expect that if you haven't cleared every possible room then there are more here or returning, from what I've overheard this is their main hideout!
A voice sounds out from the door to the east.
Roll Perception for me.
Rameth the Delver
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
DMummy
You turn around and find several men have come out of the last door as you've been talking.
They're led by a tall, muscular Osiriani man with a golden funerary mask on. Through the mask you hear a deep voice issue.
It's true I'm afraid, this is our "main hideout." Or it was anyway, after today we'll be relocating I'm sure.
He and his crew have their weapons out but they're not moving to attack you.
I'm afraid Ptemnib was following our men and we were worried he had something to do with the interruption in our business and the death of one of our colleagues transporting valuable cargo. We've been persuaded he was not the cause and were about to release him, so please, take him and go with our blessings.
He seems like he's almost amused.
We'll chalk up our losses to a simple misunderstanding.
Rameth the Delver
Rameth takes a hit of whiskey then passes it to the prisoner.
Then he pulls out his fire breath and downs that
wow that burns.
Rameth the Delver
sure you leave all your gear and treasure and I don't beat you senseless
DMummy
You hear a sigh.
Ah, I wish you hadn't said that.
He beckons with his sword to

Bad guys move first, then good guys.
The thugs move to surround you.
The first one moves to the south (AC41) and casts burning hands which hits Albus and Rameth.
Damage (Burning Hands): 2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6 DC 13 Reflex to take half damage.
The second advances to AC39 and casts burning hands which hits Rameth, Audia, Albus, Tobbs, and Calin.
Damage (Burning Hands): 2d4 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4 DC 13 Reflex to take half damage.
A third advances to AD37 and attacks Audia with a short sword, which fails to penetrate Audia's armor.

Rameth, there isn't a way to step such as to hit all of them unless you moved to AB39, in which case you'd provoke 3 attacks of opportunity, and hit Albus.
If you don't move you can hit four of them, but since it's still a "cast" I think you will provoke two attacks of opportunity the same way a wizard/sorcerer/bloodrager/magus would if casting - it's still a standard action to use an extract even if you've downed it ahead of time unless you're using a magic item like a sipping jacket.
Let me know if that affects your plan.
Rameth the Delver
Dm I don't think it provokes I took it earlier it just says as a standard it doesn't mention it provokes

Dwalindor will move up adjacent to Albus and attacks the thug in the back (ac41)

Dwalindor, your rolls continue to disgust me.
The thug at AC41 screams as the hammer whistle down and crushes him to the floor.
Everyone but Dwalindor feels a bit disquieted by the dwarf's incredible blow which appears to have driven the man's skull into his chest cavity.
Forgot to note so you can describe your own attacks, AC 16 for the flunkies, AC 15 for the main guy. I don't write 'em, I just read em.
