Shad mumbles something under his breath.
Well, if we do not know anything about her. Do we need to do anything, take this necklace? Was it magical? Looks expensive based upon the amount of salivation emitted by our dwarf. The aura was transmutation on the necklace and necromancy on the statue.
He shrugs and tries to ID the necklace.
kn:Arcana/Spellcraft: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (10) + 27 = 37
Or do we keep going, Tariq?

Dwalindor waits to see if the necklace is identified.
”I just need to know if we take the jewelry or leave it. I don’t care about no mummies. They can stay here til they unravel and blow away. “

DMummy |

It's definitely magical but the nature of the helm is muted - possibly due to the effects of the magical field of the statue. You feel like you should be able to identify the helm based on your expertise but you are unable to do so because of an external effect.
It's almost like the helm's enchantment is mysteriously incomplete.

Well, unless you brainy types have a way to get the baubles loose, I ain't gonna break her hand off to get it...not just yet. Can you spray water or dispel magic or shaper the stone or nothin?

ok thanks GM - for some reason I envisioned the boat ride taking us onto another plane a la the river styx or the like.
Dwalindor yawns and scratches his beard
”So um…what’s for breakfast? “

As the stone hand opens under the influence of the spell and the war crown drops to the ground - and as it does a screaming spirit boils out of the statue and opens its mouth to scream at you.

Baddies win! I've updated the map but let me know where you want to be.

Dwalindor would be close to Noonan to support and grab the loot…I mean crown.
”Oh great, Noonan…now you woke the baby! “

![]() |

”Yeah, well…that crown was too nice to just leave here. “

![]() |

Wait...now I am worried. :) I would like to say Dwalindor started rage at the same time as stone shape....but GM ruling.
Coords ok on map...Unless we needed to be closer for the stone shape, map is ok...Tariq would likely be further back...but whatever.
Um, so Noonan, what exactly are these?

DMummy |

Geez, my bad! I know the last few days had been hectic but didn't realize I hadn't posted, apologies. Being in rage is fine. Really fine. MWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!
Dwalindor, you identify the central figure as a banshee. The others appears to be phantasms - they are all incorporeal.
The spirits surge across the water to you, but not before the banshee wails.
Roll your fortitude saves folks, DC 23! Failure means you take 140 points of damage.
The phantasms surge across the water to tear your souls apart.
Attack (Incorporeal Touch): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29 VS Dwalindor
Damage (Energy Drain): 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 DC 19 Fortitude save or Get 1 Level of Energy Drain
Attack (Incorporeal Touch): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19 VS Shad
Damage (Energy Drain): 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 DC 19 Fortitude save or Get 1 Level of Energy Drain
Attack (Incorporeal Touch): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (13) + 17 = 30 VS Tariq
Damage (Energy Drain): 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 DC 19 Fortitude save or Get 1 Level of Energy Drain
Attack (Incorporeal Touch): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (19) + 17 = 36 VS Ozymandius
Damage (Energy Drain): 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 DC 19 Fortitude save or Get 1 Level of Energy Drain

Yikes! Rolling both saves for Dwalindor. .
Dwalindor grunts in pain…
”NOOOOOOO!!!!“
Fort : 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (16) + 24 = 40
Fort : 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (3) + 24 = 27

Tariq and Baset |

Tariq tries to resist as well
”Someone make it stop! “
Fort : 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21
Fort : 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
we don’t have Baset on map, so presume off in hallway guarding.
Does not look good for Tariq nor Shad. 140 will kill both - unless they are just brought to -1 hp per greater wail. ???

![]() |

will see how Ozy and Doge does and ruling on effect of damage being full or to -1 per greater wail.
”So who’s with me?!??? Guys?“

![]() |

Fort, Phantom attack, Ozy : 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

Fort, Banshee Scream, Shiberus : 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Shiberus does little more than flinch at the puny scream.

![]() |

Yep…working on it now :)
Dwalindor is glad to see he is not fighting these by himself
”Ozy see what you can do for the others. “
He turns his attention back to the phantom in his face
ok so favorite enemies undead will cancel sickness -2, so not including either here. All these attacks do full against incorporeal
”LEAVE US ALONE! “

Ozy casts rage on everyone except Dwalindor, Shad and himself.
CLEAR!
He rubs his two spell guard braces together and creates a small shock, jolting Noonan and Tariq back to life and fills Shiberus with rage ( hopefully).
Concentration : 1d20 + 20 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 20 - 2 = 20 vs DC 21
Concentration extra braces : 1d20 + 20 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 20 - 2 = 29 Vs DC 21
Shiberus bites and claws the closest phantasm.
rage cancels sickness…these are magic so half damage
Magic Bite: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (14) + 22 = 36 for Damage : 3d6 + 10 ⇒ (2, 4, 3) + 10 = 19
Magic Bite: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (11) + 22 = 33 for Damage : 3d6 + 10 ⇒ (5, 6, 5) + 10 = 26

So assuming the rage works, all 3 will get +15 hp from the con boost. But Noonan and Tariq are prone. I guess we leave Baset off down the hallway for now? No rage for Shad since he would not be able to cast.

Tariq and Baset |

Tariq blinks his eyes open wondering why he on the floor…and really angry
”Dwarf…what …did …you …do??! “
He uses a vanishing trick and stands as he draws both weapons.
he is raging and at few hp and would do all of this after Noonan goes if possible.
Baset comes running to her master and will pounce on undead in the hall.
rage and sickness cancel
Bite pounce: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 15 + 2 = 33 for +1 bite: 1d6 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Claw pounce: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 15 + 2 = 26 for +1 bite: 1d6 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Claw pounce: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 15 + 2 = 28 for +1 bite: 1d6 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
half damage on same as Sheberus hit.

Reflex (Phantasm 1): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Reflex (Phantasm 2): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Woo, that went well!
Shad's spell annihilates the phantasm to the south and badly frays the incorporeal forms of the one to the north and the banshee.
The banshee retreats into the wall behind her but the remaining phantasms turn on you.
