Would still be nice to hear back. If Im happy with what Ive submitted, how am I supposed to know what to change if I get no reasoning?

Confucius say patience is virtue.

But then, Confucius also say Man who walk through airport turnstile sideways always going to Bangkok.

So you win some and you lose some.

Confuscius and airports in the same sentence? Seems legit -.-

Silver Crusade

Confucius say 'man who stand on toilet, high on pot.'

lol

Confucius also say Halfling rogue never lead you astray.

But then... Confucius also say elevator smell different to halflings and gnomes.

So it still comes out to swamp @ss and nut fog so thick you can cut it like a bundt cake either way you slice it.

Lugos wise, but not as wise as Confucius who say:

"Secretary not permanent fixture until screwed on top of desk."

Pardon any "confucion", we're just killing time, DM Skull.

I'd make some 'confucioneries' in honor of that pun, but I don't know how. :)

Dotting for interest, I'm looking currently to see if a concept I have would work or fall flat on it's face as it "breaks one of the character construction rules" of the combination of caster classes variety.

Wouldn't stop me if it doesn't make a completely useless characters as less than optimal can be fun if it fits the concept, but useless as in party dragging down weak is a different matter.

That's fine, chat it up everyone. It's good to develope some kind of comraderie as some of you might become long term associates...

"11 friends you gotta be" is common saying in Germany regarding football (i.e. soccer).

"11 friends you gotta be, not 20." Was comment by Mehmet Scholl about the attitude inside the FC Bavaraia Munich, currently one of the world's best football clubs.

11 players on the field and 9 replacements on the bench...

Let's just say I am somewhat careful until I find out where I am. :)

Speaking of which, may I send in a correction regarding certain formulations within my application? Since I've already rolled I won't change the content per se, neither add nor substract anything. Just improve upon the wording of certain things.

Confucious say an Eagle may soar but a Weasle will never get sucked into a jet engine turbine at 30,000 feet.

Silver Crusade

Confuscious say "man who puts head in oven gets baked bean."

I have sent my PM. Just let me know if you want me to change anything.

Any advice for someone who sent in their application, hasn't heard back in a few days, but feels like they've done what they were asked to?

Try contacting them again?

Though your post here may also do just fine.

Also: Man with glass house must dress in basement

If you have not heard back from him already or at least within a couple days of your pm, perhaps there could very well be something amiss with what you submitted.

I'm working on a submission, but I want it to be good. Do we still have until the 27th to submit?

Yes. I have many excellent applications but I'm holding to the original end date to give everyone plenty of time.

*gnashes teeth* "I will not go crazy waiting for another week....."

I don't know about you, but I have noticed, I love long deadlines when come in late, but I hate them when I get there early. Perspective matters I guess lol. Though I don't like waiting, I am excited about this game to the point that waiting is completely worth it!

Must not roll dice for stats... Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Well crap...

Omg, roflmao, soooo awesome, Jayce.

Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

I know what you mean. I'm doing worse.

[dice=Will Save]1d20 - 1

Felt the need to second this, that was funny lol.

I have sent in my application although even if I don't get in I think I will follow this game out of the entertaining personalities on here.

Confucius Say, "man who run in front of car get tired but man who run behind car get exhausted"

Silver Crusade

I'm getting anxious! So anxious!

Don't know if it will help, hurt, or have no impact on my chances, but I have hard time convincing myself to participate in a recruitment thread more than the GM does.

Seems like he's doing most of the recruiting via PM.

However he does only have 37 posts...DM Skull have you ever run PBP before? Do you plan on using maps for combat? How are you going to do initiative? AOOs? Hexploration? How often are you expecting people to post? If they don't post, what are you going to do about it?

You do know that DM Skull is just one of his aliases right?

His main still only has 290. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I just figured I'd ask some more questions before I submit the completed character here. There are plenty of Kingmaker recruitments that pop up, and I want to make sure that GM Skull is going to be a good fit for my preferred playstyle.

As someone with 10,800 posts and 56 aliases (most of them from games that didn't work out for one reason or another) I've learned to be cautious about which games I invest a lot of my time into. Two of those aliases are from past Kingmaker games which failed after a month or two due to poor/non-existent GM participation, one of them in two separate instances.

Even if it IS his first, Jelani, everyone has a first. The number of a current user's posts does not measure the effectiveness of a game still in the planning phases. I'm sure it wasn't your intent but that post reads as if you're discouraging potential players from participating.

Nah. Just defending myself for asking some questions. As I stated, it's not necessarily a bad thing. I don't care if its his first, I just want to know how he plans on running things.

Silver Crusade

So what is everyone wanting to play in this campaign? Me, I'm a human cleric of Cayden Cailean.

I'm hoping to play a somewhat clumsy wizard focused on constructs.

Submitted my Half-orc "bodyguard" (fighter with planned dash of monk). He already failed to make it into two other PbPs (hai Jelani) so I'm kinda keeping my hopes low.

I was planning on playing an enchanter with a focus on Diplomacy.

Incidentally, I picked Noble-Born: House Lebeda for her campaign trait.

Scarab Sages

Is there anyway you could allow a Nagaji Paladin of either Tuskiyo (a Tia Xian god) or Iomedae (if you won't allow him to worship Tuskiyo)? If you can, I'll get started on the random generators.

By the way, DM Skull, what advancement track will the campaign use?

Playing a Dwarven Monk Tetori build

Submitted a Bard. Don't know if I'm playing.

Halfling Rogue submitted.

I put in for a dwarven druid.

Submitted human fighter

Silver Crusade

4 more days until deadline! Who else is getting excited?

Dwarven druid? Intriguing.

Not all druids tend to the lands above. There's plenty of natural wonders beneath the earth in need of a druid's protection as well.

Silver Crusade

Dwarf druids are crazy, especially now that they have the druid archetype Cave Druid. How they work aboveground though is beyond me though...

@DM Jelani: Your questions are well warranted and I take no offense. Yes this is my first game as a DM. However I have been playing 3.5 since 2003 and pathfinder since beta and have gotten to the point on the boards that if I want to participate in one of the campaign threads (since I have the luck of always making it into threads that die after a few months) I'll have to run one. I am looking forward to giving the players one hell of a ride with ten times as much content then was planned in the original. Just THINK about it: untapped resources. No laws except what you make. Monsters that you can kill/tame. A story that doesn't end at the conclusion of the main story.

I plan on making this my main area of activity on the boards and can check multiple times a day. I am a big lover of RP intensive scenes, fights etc. and am going to strongly encourage/reward the same from my players. I live in germany at the moment so my posting time is 0830-2400 GMT +1.

If you want an example of my style check out this character that I created a couple weeks ago that didn't make it into the campaign.

And to everyone else; I am getting some outstanding applications. If you feel the need to revamp your application for any reason you have until 2359 Pacific Standard Time on 27 Sep. 2013.

@dragoncat: Medium advancement track.

@Vyranos: Thats stretching it considering nagaji revere naga as gods for the most part. Send me an outstanding application to explain not only how he turned away from his culture's mindset but why he's so far away from home and I'll think about it.
