I would like those who have played through the Accursed Halls to help set the scene for this module. They were members of the party that discovered the entrance to the Forgotten Library and have called the others together at the Greenforest Inn to further explore the new area.
With that in mind, everyone can jump right into the gameplay thread and we'll start when everyone is ready.

This is Gerald's almost 4th level sorcerer, checking in for duty!
She's much nicer than grumpy ole Shel.

A very young looking Tengu stands waiting for everyone to arrive. His accent is thick and it is obvious that he is not from around these parts. He carries an oversized sword, and has a bow and a quiver of arrows.
Comrades, many thanks and blessings for coming to assist me in delving deeper into this.... dungeon? Before you arrived the other Pathfinders I was exploring with assisted me in clearing out some little oni's that had taken up residence in the top two levels of the place. There was an unlockable door that we had to figure out on the second level down. It turns out that it was a simple cypher. Not knowing how deep these caverns go or how many levels the complex contains, the others decided to call in a group of more experienced Pathfinders after we cracked the code. I believe I am the only one that remains here to meet you. As soon as everyone arrives I can lead you down to the Pool of Seeing and we can proceed.
This is Ayaki, Lordzum's friendliest character. I happen to like grumpy old Shel. GM Rah, I still need to update his gear from his last adventure, I will do that tonight.

The aforementioned 6th, Turg, the Fae Ruler-Queen has arrived (though I need to chisel out my gear, since the 1st level rebuild.)
GM: If you want a Screenshot of the First Worlder Archetype from Inner Sea magic, I can get a SS up, if desired. All it really does at this level is gimp my Eidolon hardcore and give me Summon Nature's Ally instead of Summon Monster for my SLA.
EDIT: Summoner gear is pretty easy. Now I just gotta throw together the perception-bot nature slave Eidolon. Should be done before lunch.

With a knocking at the door, Alie's attention turns.
"Ms. Saechel, it appears there has been a mix up. Your talents are needed elsewhere." The Captain at the door address the others, "Don't fear, we have a very capable substitute, a Ms. Pai Kromnite."
The gnome wizard trots into the room, with scrolls, a wand, and a spellbook all packed somewhat haphazardly in her bag. "Hey, I'm Pai. Nice to meet all of you. Good luck on your new mission, Alie!"]
Alie steps out of the room, and receives her new information.

"Am I late fer somethin'?" Barlor wanders in, surveying the scene. His keen senses pick up on the finest details, but his slow wit fail to make sense of them.

![]() |

I have d6s for Eidolon hit dice from my archetype, and it has half hit die for hp like all animal companions. First Worlder is a pretty bad archetype; I gave up a lot for summoning Nymphs much, much later, but being a Nynphomancer will be entirely worth it.

![]() |

Don't worry about the AC GM, he's out hunting while I am delving. Until I get Boon Companion he is three levels lower than I.
I wish I was a nymphomancer, that sounds awesome.

Since you make these fancy tokens for pieces, he's what I'm most likely to summon at any given time. I know Mark Moreland used to have it in Avatar form, but he's since become a satyr.

DM Rah |

Thanks Turg, I'll make a token for it in the next day or so and put it off to the side of the game map for you to pull in when summoned.
On another I've created the common game thread some of us talked about for the purposes of having a central permanent thread for arranging new games and OOC chat.
Go HERE to visit Maximo's Hideaway. I would like OOC posts in the discussion thread, and In Character roleplaying posts in the gameplay thread from characters that are not currently in online games. If you don't have a free character, but want to jump into the roleplaying there, I'd prefer you create a new Society Alias.

Turg you are doing a fantastic job playing up the survival of the fittest Fey aspect of your gnome. I am loving the interaction between Pai and him.
Ha, despite the man-gnome picture, Turg is also a female. Snade is male, though (at least as gendered as outsider-ish fae can get.)

Training is still going today through Thursday, and I wasn't able to connect to the boards last night. I'll try to get something up over lunch (both here and in Delirium's Tangle).

DM Rah |

Ok, if everyone is ok with everyone I'm going to GM-NPC anyone who doesn't post in 24 hours.
Also, if you think you might not be able to post, or don't have enough time to make a decent post, pleas send me a note here in this thread - just put "afg 12" (away from game - 12 approx hours).
I also encourage everyone to post basic tactics for different situations.
Example - close distance and attack in melee
Example - stay out of melee, use wand of magic missile
Example - direct animal companion and attack in melee
Example - angle to use area of effect spell to hit as many enemies as possible while avoiding friendlies

All these stirge notions provoke thoughts; If a tiny creature entering the square provokes, and a creature "instantly brings a creature or object to a place you designate," can the summoner of a tiny creature summon the summon IN the square to prevent the AoO? Brain ponderings...

![]() |

I think the intent is that you can, if it did not want you to do this it would have wording similar to Dimension door.
If you arrive in a place that is already occupied by a solid body, you and each creature traveling with you take 1d6 points of damage and are shunted to a random open space on a suitable surface within 100 feet of the intended location.
Just my opinion though.

![]() |

I'm going to be in a meeting most of the day. Laz will continue to shoot at the alchemist unless he's badly wounded or needs to heal someone. He'll move to avoid bunching up with other party members.

![]() |

I guess nobody has specific plans for the alchemist but nobody wants to just kill him. And nobody is quite sure where to go from here, carrying an alchemist or not.
Or maybe that's just me. Hm...

![]() |

Those are valid points. Pai doesn't want to kill him, but she's not exactly sure what useful info to get from him, I think if we can find out if its safe to rest here for the night, then we can tie him up while we finish up the next morning.

![]() |

Turg isn't going to be asking anything or leading (because nobody's going to like her orders) but won't resist any paths or ideas unless they inconvenience her.

![]() |

While I've got a moment at a computer with internet...
Not to be "that guy" (read: I'm "that guy"), but the crit negation factor is something part of the creature and not just Construct Traits, right? I recall constructs not being crittable in 3.5, but that was removed in PF and is a common unknown for people who either bounce between systems or have yet to extensively run constructs.

DM Rah |

There is a grey area concerning constructs made with animated object spell. Some people say yes, others no. I couldn't find any developer from Paizo to clear it up.
The basic problem I see in allowing critical a against an animated object is that you then have certain players who will argue that using the spell on an object then makes it actually easier to break. To my logic, an object animated with the spell remains an object.

Speaking of which, Turg is #22357-19 and has no Day Job (which isn't actually possible since this is a module in the S4 ruleset, I think? *shrug*)
Thanks for running!
