Grim will drop his axe and draw his lucern hammer (reach) and swings at the spider.

Grimdoc's hammer cracks the carapace of the giant spider and goo oozes out.

Rufus throws a flask of alchemist fire, but his aim is just a little off and it breaks on the western wall, splashing not only the spiders, but Grimdoc, Rhoswen, and himself as well.

Rhoswen pulls out her own flask of alchemist's fire and takes a step away from the swarm. She throws the flask down, knowing that she'll get herself with splash damage and her allies as well.

Grim mostly ignores as the small spiders try to climb all over and bite him.

"Hey, who's watching the fire?"

"Make way for the Great Swarmholio!" Swarmholio flexes his fingers and positions himself behind Rufus near the entrance to the cave.

Meanwhile, the spider scuttles down a little closer and bites at Grimdoc.

Sark shouts "Rhoswen can you give me a clear shoot to spider, dont want to miss and hit you by dear!"

"Get back!" Ali screams as he fires a pair of magic missiles at the giant spider.

He also pulls out his wand of burning hands.

"Well, that was a nasty bite!"

Grim looks at the two puncture marks dripping with poison.

Grim grips his hammer and stares into the several sets of eyes of the spider.

"Old Deadeye will have judgement upon ye, bug! We ain't gonna put up with that nonsense here."

Switching to judgement of fast healing (3hp/rd). Stepping back 5', not sure if squeeze here or not.

technically, can Grim swing at a back square of the spider while in melee base contact with the spider? I moved, but may not have needed to. Just curious.

Ali injures the giant spider further with magic missiles, then Grimdoc slays the creature with a terrible smash right into its many eyes with his long hammer.

Rufus moves back out of the way and fires an arrow at the giant spider.

Technically Rufus goes before the spider, but since his attack doesn't kill it, this doesn't change much.

The giant spider is very dead, but the swarm is still active, flowing over Grimdoc.

"Out of the way, get out of the way!" Ali yells. He waits until his companions have moved out of the swarm and then tries to activate his wand of burning hands.

Use Magic Device: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18

"Whoops," Ali mutters under his breath as the wand sputters and fizzles.

"No, no, NO! Amateur!" Swarmholio shouts at Ali. "Like this!"

He steps to the entrance to the cave and lets loose a blast of fire that burns away the swarm and cooks the corpse of the giant spider.

Grimdoc still needs to make another save vs the giant spider's poison.

Grimdoc will move out of the swarm to give Ali a better shot with the wand.

"Ok Ali, I am clear! Let em buggers have it. Ali, did you hear me? Ali?"

Hate this things. Rufus says again looking at the swarm. Sorry about the fire thing. He then picks up his wand and heals Rhoswen and Grimdoc.

Sark searches the room for anything of interest then Sark shakes his head and skips ahead again without a worry in the world, the dangerous deadly battle forgot ready for the next danger ahead. Going down into the tunnel the goblin was standing in front of.

Rhoswen let's out a long sigh as the spiders are exterminated. "Thanks for the healing, Rufus." She sheathes her blade and takes a look around, but gets distracted with Sark's apparent nonchalant attitude about the skirmish with the spiders.

She shakes her head softly as Sark trots away, with a slight smile on her face. Wish I could be so carefree, she thinks to herself.

Sark picks his way through the debris-choked tunnel to a point where it splits east and north.

To the east is a ruined chamber. The western half of the room appears to have mostly collapsed, though jagged openings peer to into a dark cavern. The east half of the chamber is filled with small chests and barrels. Most are covered in dust, but some appear to have been recently disturbed.

To the north is a chamber that might have once been some sort of study, but it has also fallen into ruin. The entire northeast corner of the chamber has collapsed, apparently because of some sort of drilling machine that cut the passage you now stand in. The remains of the machine are now half-buried under the rubble to the northeast.

A note about the debris-choked passage: Any creature moving through these caverns must succeed at a DC 10 Acrobatics check to move faster than 5 feet per round. Anyone who fails such a check cannot move that round, and anyone who fails the check by 5 or more falls prone.

Ever curious, Sark makes his way into the room with all the chests and barrels. listening for any danger from above, he carefully moves through the room watching where he steps and listening for any dangers of a more will eat you type as well. He will start to opening things if nothing tries to eat him while in the room.

Rhoswen follows Sark through the rough tunnel and into the chamber with the barrels. She takes a careful look at them, searching for any kind of traps.

Take 10 on Acrobatics for 15.

Grim would have cast detect magic on the spiders and their nest. If nothing of interest, he follows the others.

"Hey, wait up there. I ain't no quickling you know . "

He stows his shield and follows the leaders.

Smart thinking Grimdoc. Unfortunately there is nothing of interest in the spider cave.

While much of what remains in this room is worthless or broken, Sark and Rhoswen quickly find several items of note. One of the small chests has capacity for 20 vials of liquid, but now only 4 vials of alchemist’s fire remain. A similar chest holds 6 vials of acid. Finally, inside a large chest lies a small coffer containing a bag filled with diamond dust worth 500 gp.

Rhoswen takes a couple steps toward the hallway to the south and tries to listen in on what she hears. She waves her arms emphatically to try and get the others' attention. She whispers, "Hey! Goblins." She points down the hall.

Rhoswen speaks Goblin - is there any chance she understands anything being said?

It sounds like 2 or 3 voices, one of them singing.

Sark will grab a few fire flasks and a few acid flasks asks someone to detect magic then says "I'll sneak down the hall come in when you hear a boom! "[/b] his eyes sparkle in your light at the prospect of more danger.

He sneaks down the hall with a fire vial in his hand and another in his pocket.

Rhoswen grabs Sark's shoulder and whispers, "Sounds like there are two or three of them and they're drinking. Shouldn't be too hard to take them by surprise." She follows closely behind Sark with her blade drawn.

Rufus makes his way into the room and also grabs a flask of acid and one alchemist fire to replace the one he used before. He will grab more if its left behind by the others.

After hearing Rhoswen's description he nods and draws his bow ready to follow them.

Grim will follow along behind behind the others, trying to catch up to the front.

"Shhh, what? What did you find?"

This chamber ahead appears to still be in use. Its floors have recently been swept, and its three tables appear to be organized and well kept. Arranged across the tables are numerous strange alchemical devices, some of which are suspended over low-burning flames and emit pale ribbons of smoke. Others simply bubble and boil of their own volition. Three goblins work in the room, tending the devices.

Though Sark and Rhoswen try to approach with stealth, Rhoswen's armor scrapes the wall. Two of the goblins look up and see them in the hall.

Sark frowns at the elf, "Next time let me go ahead to gain the upper hand please." He drops into snake style(if have swift action)
As he throws his fire vial at the goblin in front of him his shot is perfect hitting the goblin in the chest and splashing the other one nearby.

Rhoswen rushes past Sark, muttering under her breath, "Oh, you mean so you can almost get yourself killed again?"

Sark, you jumped ahead in the initiative, but I'll keep your roll.

Rhoswen leaps into the room before the goblins can do anything about it.

Two of them draw shortswords and ready themselves for battle. The third looks up, finally realizing the danger.

Sark throws his alchemist fire, setting one goblin afire and splashing onto another. Unfortunately, it also sends burning oil onto Rhoswen and the nearby table full of alchemical devices and reagents! A chain reaction sends arcs of electricity and a wave of frost into the area around it.

Rhoswen, take 1 point of fire, 1 point of electricity, and 1 point of cold damage.

Well i was expecting it all to go boom which is why I threw the fire and was surprised you moved into the area myself AFTER i posted my action heh.

Yeah, but Rhoswen's technically first in the line-up and that's what she would've done - rushed in not thinking everything out. She's not stupid, just rash.

I did have a fire vial in my hand ;)

Sark replies to the elf's verbal jab with following "Key is ALMOST dying, i am quite skilled at getting out of deadly situations as i am getting into them, but i try not to walk right into just as you have done dear." This is where Sark's tone and manner has changed from the happy kid to a learned scholar telling off a student. He turns to the others saying " You crazy fire throws, becareful that room is a powder key and we got a delicate elf sitting in the middle of it."

Okay, maybe she's a little stupid. :)

Ali moves to where he can see one of the goblins down the hallway, his trusty wand in hand. "I have found that it is best to make a GRAND entrance! Well done, Sark and Rhoswen, you are certainly learning my ways!"

Rhoswen's eyes go wide and she calls back, "Who are you calling delicate, back there!?" More annoyed than angry.

Sark's laugher echoes off the walls with a mirthful reply "Sorry M'lady but that is how i hear all the lads speak in the pub Wish i could get with that delicate elven flower over there or That delicate elven maid is a sight for wearily eyes! I just thought that is what you say to one, never actually spoken to one before! To be fair any of us are delicate with sitting in a room from full of explosive devices.

Rufus, Grimdoc, and Swarmholio are up!

Grim moves into the room, if possible (or to the doorway in front of Sark as shown).

"Alright kids, we've got gobbies to route here. Save the squabbles for later."
