Ugly, shooting through a peep hole was possible, though the target would have improved cover bonus of +7. However, that won't matter now...
The secret door found by Ugly suddenly slides open. Behind it a robed man steps back, raises his hands in an complex gesture, and with a short arcane phrase sends a spray of color bursting from his hands through the door. The lights pierce straight into Ugly's brain. His eyes roll up and he pitches over backwards.
Ugly is unconscious for 4 rounds, then blind and stunned for 1, then stunned 1 more.
Ugly Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
Unconscious: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4
Stunned: 1d4 ⇒ 1
All players are up. Just in case anyone needs a reference, initiative order is as follows:

Sark reflexes kick in, grabs his bow which would have fallen nearby(Move) then loads and releases an arrow from his sitting position firing between the legs of the one guarding him.
no clue the modifers so will just roll normally and DM can apply whatever he sees fit ;)

Alden Roars upon seeing another comrade down and charges forward.
"No!!! Ugly went down. We got to help him!!"
He takes a swing at the wizard with his flail wildly

All attacks against the wizard are dodged or strike magical protections. Smiling, he steps back and casts another spell.

A fan of flames rushes from his hands, burning Leonides and Alden and out the door next to Sark.
You guys can roll your own saves here. Sark, you are also just in the area, but have cover, granting a +2 bonus to your save.

Leonides ducks under the fan of flames, avoiding the worst of the spell's effects. He follows the wizard towards the corner, but misses again.

Sark tries to backflip but is still shaken and does not get out of the way in time. He lets out a cry of pain as more boils appear on his body as his wounds put him into a coma again....
so i think i am down again, heal 2 and 9 for -6 means at -4 now.

Alden blinks and for some odd reason blows out as hard as he can as the fire flares out towards him.

With allies in the way Pascal's aim is slightly off and her chakram bounces off an invisible shield. Alden's blow is strong, but the wizard's magic is stronger and the attack deflects away inches from his body. The wizard then plucks a strange long feather from his belt and blows on it. As it leaves his hand a large whip springs into existence and wraps around Alden.
Alden is grappled.
Whip Grapple: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
Sark, Haku's channeling brought you back to 0 HP. You are awake.
All PCs are up again!

Sark crawls north out of the line of fire saying, "Cant take any more hits, we need another tactic with this mage! Someone grapple him!"

Growling, Alden Attempts to break the whip's hold on him.
Grapple Rarghhh: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
The whip seems strong though made of magic as it is.

Well at least Leonides gets a bonus on his next attack. :)
Sark crawls to cover and Alden struggles with the whip. Leonides attacks, but still fails to land a blow against the wizard. Haku moves in and distracts the man with a perfectly executed feint.
The wizard raises a hand towards Leonides, but Pascal is ready and hurls a chakram. It flies perfectly between her allies and strikes through the wizard's magic, giving him a bloody wound in his side. He snarls in pain and rage, and loses concentration on whatever magic he was preparing to use.
Wizard concentration: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Pascal readied action: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Crit confirmation: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 = 6
All PCs are Up again.

Sark looks over his equipment but just cannot find anything that can help with this battle, he stays where he is until more healing comes his way, any action will put into back into a coma, he has not been any help anyways and sits listening to the battle with his bow in his hand.

On his turn, Haku ducks low and swinging his warclub at the back of the wizard's leg, attempts to trip him. Trip attempt (w/o Improved Trip): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

As Haku feints at the arcanist, Leonides follows up with a heavy flail blow against the persistent enemy.
Flail to wizard, incl. Aid Another: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 2 = 24
Flail damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Leonides' flail connects solidly with the wizard's head. His eyes roll up and he's about to fall when Haku takes his feet out from under him. He goes down hard and doesn't get back up.
COMBAT OVER.
Eventually Alden extricates himself from the whip and Ugly comes to.
On the wizard you find 2 potions of cure light wounds, 2 smokesticks, a mundane dagger, a holy symbol of Moloch, an old key, and a magical mummified elf hand hanging by a golden chain around his neck that Leonides identifies as a hand of the mage.
Also within the secret chamber is the desiccated corpse of an ancient cultist. The corpse crumbles at a touch, but a pair of fine boots remain that Leonides identifies as boots of elvenkind.

Sark smiles weakly, "I think someone else should hold on to them, they only work if you able to act, and from what i can tell most things in here are going to take me out if i get hit. Should i drink one now?"

Alden sore from his dance with the whip, Nods towards Sark to drink.

Pascal moves into the room gingerly, worried that something else might spring out at them. Picking up her chakrams, she inspects them for any damage and wipes off the blood from the one that connected.
Well, I guess we can safely assume that the temple is occupied. Where do we go from here though?

Sark drinks the potion hoping they are right what they are and again his burns fade to nothingness. Regaining his bounce in his step he thinks, all the stories he read or heard had secret buttons in grand chairs so it looks like he skips towards the chair, but in fact he is using random movements to approach it in case of any traps around it, watching the floor for any signs of discoloured floor or raised areas as he gets closer. If he gets to the chair without problem he closely exams it for any buttons or switches he can see anywhere around it. He looks on the floor for signs that it moves too.

Leonides indicates the secret door. "Well, Pascal, I think that answers your question. It looks as though the temple's emergence is known to the devil's cultists. If they set just this one to watch the door, though, I'm guessing there aren't that many here yet. Or they didn't expect to be disturbed."

Alden hefts his shield and readies his flail.
"Then By Asmodeous, if they don't realise we are here, we should hit them hard and fast."
