COMBAT OVER
Exploring the fissure and cave beyond reveals a stash of the goods these creatures once valued during life, including a pair of boots of the winterlands, some jewelry and coin, and a weather-worn journal.
The journal details a previous expedition to the high reaches of the Wall of Heaven. Time and the environment have made most of the journal unreadable but Klaidingo and Barley manage to piece together the last few pages. Within it details the expedition of another group of travelers that attempted to brave the path but fell victim to a sudden avalanche, which deposited their bodies among the rocks below the path. A few of the travelers survived the initial fall, but while trapped beneath snow and rock, their fear and desperation eventually turned to cannibalism. The last page of the journal lists the names of those that died during the expedition, including a Pathfinder named Rickard Murton.
On another note, restoring the shrines requires a knowledge (religion) or knowledge (local) skill roll.

You follow the Path of Many Shrines through the mountains for an hour before the narrow mountain path ends at the lip of a fifty-foot-wide crevasse that stretches out of sight in both directions. A pair of carved stone pillars stands at the edge of the chasm and a matching pair of pillars can be seen on the far side. The remains of corroded iron chains, set within the stone pillars, dangle limply into the crevasse. A relatively gentle slope leads to the bottom of the crevasse. The slope on the far side is much steeper, and is covered with jagged, precarious looking rocks.

Untrained Knowledge (Nature) check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Any chance some of those Survival checks could be Aid Another to the highest roll?
In PBPs it seems that Aid Another checks are handled pretty loosely. They should be declared beforehand and keyed to a person taking the lead in a situation. Usually this is the person with the best skill, not the best roll. In a PBP it's a little hard to arrange, and I allow aid checks in good faith, but I don't like converting checks into Aid bonuses after the fact. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
Male Human Bard/5 HP 10/38 AC17/T 12/FF 15 Fort +4/Ref +7/ Will +5 Init +2 Perc +8|Sense Motive +13*
I prefer to see them declared ahead of time as well, with (in almost all cases) a dedicated lead. The one exception to that I can think of at the moment is STR checks; if three people are pushing on a door together, e.g., I'm good with taking the highest roll plus Aid Anothers as applicable from everyone else pushing. In this case, though, no one apparently thought to declare lead or aid another. I also don't mind people coming after the first roller to declare Aid Another. Personally I wouldn't give it to us unless there was some in-game reason to cut us a break--going forward, let's not just roll our own in cases where Aid Another might be useful.
