Ok, no worries. I wanted to check before I actually did anything.

I'll instead move and try to make it up to the catwalk, maybe see if I spot anything else that might put a little more light on the situation.

"I am sorry, little gnome," Nuar replies to Alie, "but I am seeing this for the first time right now, and so I am unfortunately as uninformed as you are."

Alie, if you decide to take out the elf, your acid splash did harm harm him.

Yanos, with your current height and acrobatics you can jump, grab the catwalk, and pull yourself up this round. No need to roll.

Oh, I didn't realize there was a roll to climb the ladder. I'll do that. Keep in mind, my acrobatics drops by 1 point for being large (-2 Dex).

There's no roll to climb the ladder, but it takes longer and requires a balance check to cross the catwalks. You can basically take a shortcut.

"Haris, I'll keep his attention while you knock him out. Yanos, if he's who I think he is, he designed the maze, and the Kyonin embassy wants him back. Well, they think he's dead, but I don't think they'd be happy to get his body and find out it's fresh." That is, Kilian flanks while Haris saps him.

"Umm..", Haris points at his crowbar, "Sap?"

You could do nonlethal with a weapon at -4. I think the crowbar counts as a -2 already, so that would be -6, plus Haris cannot use weapon finesse with it. However, since the Elf cannot attack you currently, you can use an unarmed strikes to do nonlethal + sneak attack damage.

-better not, Haris puts the crowbar away and readies to pummel the elf when Kilian is in place.

Yanos climbs to the catwalk as Kilian and Haris maneuver into flanking positions around the sedated elf. Haris attempts to punch him in the temple, but gets tangled up in some chains and misses. Haris should have another +2 in there from his base attack bonus, but regardless the elf has a pretty high AC and Haris didn't hit it.

Elf Will Save vs Boredom: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 Fail!

The elf looks at Haris with a scowl for a moment, but quickly looses interest.

Although she briefly considers adding the fifth and final hex, Rowanna decides to save that for a special occasion and instead opts to study the arcane device the bored elf is hooked up to, adding a cackle in for good measure.

Kilian takes a swipe at the elf with the flat of his guisarme, but almost throws it off the catwalk.

What bad luck for Leonel. Natural 1 on the first cleave attempt.

Small retcon for Haris: thanks to Rowanna'a AC hex on the Elf he actually hit last round. I'll combine narrative to include both now.

Haris reaches through and gives the elf two quick punches to the head. He grunts and sways on the chains, but remains conscious. Alie splashes him with more acid and he groans, but still remains aware.

Just as her previous spell starts to fade, Peri cast another one that causes the elf's eyes to roll around in a daze.

Rowanna, you attempt to figure out the machine but it is beyond your abilities.

Rowanna scoffs at her inability to figure out the machine. With a haughty cackle, she decides to hex the elf with her evil eye five times after all.

Kilian's guisarme clangs against the chains, missing the elf again. Haris throws another punch, but a part from the astrolabe moves between him and the elf at the last moment, blocking his strike as well.

Leonel hacks at the chains, almost severing one.

Rowanna throws another hex, but the elf resists it.

Haris, just noticed you are only rolling 1d6 for sneak attacks. It should be 2d6. Please roll an additional 1d6 for each of the last two punches.

Peri and Alie are left. Yanos has talked, but I don't see an action, nor do I understand what he's trying to show Leonel.

Alie's acid misses this time, splattering against part of the machine that shields the elf.

Yanos calls over Leonel and casts a spell of enlarge upon him.

The elf shakes his head, finally free of the enchantments Peri has been throwing at him. With a growl, he looks to one of the large pendulum-like pieces of the astrolabe, which suddenly swings towards Haris. It's headed right for him, but with a cackle from Rowanna it veers just to the side at the last minute and misses. Growling, the elf then casts a spell and mists billow out, filling the area around him.

Obscuring Mists added to the Map. Anyone more than 5' from the elf cannot see him.

Rowanna cackles madly to continue the hexes currently effecting the elf, then stands ready to defend herself from any sort of weird attack that might come from the astrolabe.

Haris kicks through the mists and chains and catches the elf in the chin. His mouth starts to bleed, but he does not give up.

Getting a bit irritated with the elf, I'll step back into threatening range and just start chopping at him with my spear.

DM, I'm not sure how Obscuring Mist interacts with my trying to Acid Splash him. If I can still attack him, I'll try it and you can add whatever penalties need to be figured in.

Alie, all attacks made outside of melee range suffer 50% miss chance from full concealment. Melee suffers 20% miss chance, which means I screwed up a little, because Haris cannot sneak attack somethine with any amount of concealment (he only did 3 points anyway).

Haris, you jumped the gun. We aren't in the next round yet, plus you can't sneak attack through the mists.

Waiting on Kilian to act before the elf goes again.

Kilian moves closer to the elf and tries to knock him out with a cestus blow, but misses.

As Peri brandishes a wand and becomes invisible, the others continue the assault on the chained elf, but none manage to land a telling blow.

Kilian, just a thought to consider - your cestus does 1d4 damage at -4 to hit. A kick would do 1d3 at no penalty.

Another part of the astrolabe swings down out of the mists towards Haris, slamming into him. 10 damage

The elf then turns a crazed eye at Leonel and begins laughing maniacally. Leonel finds himself unable to resist joining him, chortling and guffawing. He falls to the catwalk, and almost rolls over the edge, but his leg catches on part of the machine and stops him from plummeting to the floor below.

Kilian and Yanos can't seem to get a clear opening through the chains, and their strikes miss. Haris weaves through the machine and lands a solid punch to the elf's face. A second later Alie's acid flies up through the mists to splash across his leg. Unfortunately, Peri's acid is not as accurate and misses. Leonel stifles his laughter and recovers from the not-so-funny charm that nearly disabled him.

The elf's eyes dart wildly at those surrounding him. He attempts to cast a spell, but the battle has grown too frantic for him to concentrate and the arcane words descend into maddened screaming before he's completed it. He glares at Haris and another part of the astrolabe swings down at the acrobat, crashing into his arm. 9 Damage
